  1. Click on the name and favourite cruise lines are listed. Obviously it is not an exhaustive list of every vessel that he has been on but you get what I mean.
  2. Looking at the OP's cruising history we can see that the look might be more at home on those particular lines.
  3. It is not what I would go to dinner in but it might just work for you. The look is perfect for an out on deck dinner at Earth and Ocean or for a deck party. It doesn't work for me in any indoor venue. Your picture does show the guy walking around on a beach,so that might tell you something.
  4. You can always upgrade to business class. You get a much better baggage allowance. It's always worth getting a quote to see if you'll be better off.
  5. I am not surprised that a rep will not be there to meet you at that early hour. What time have you been given to board the ship.
  6. I think Seabourn being sold might just do the company a favour. Remember that Carnival bought Seabourn and improved and kept them going. A new owner will do the same
  7. Yes Julie,Virgin is a more rock and roll style line. No dress code either but leather biker jackets are popular for more formal dinners.
  8. Dear Mr Chairman, Thank you for gracing us all with your elite slant on our predicament. Firstly you will receive no recompense for the role but as Finance director I can offer you on top of your elite perks. A manicure and pedicure every seven days sailed. One bondage session per fourteen days sailed, also you get to stand in for the Captain to host a dinner every seven days as it does get tedious talking to guests. You'll be pleased to know that I am proposing to the board that the Retreat should become a tattoo and piercing parlour as I know that you have a keen interest in both. AOB
  9. Thank you for your review of the Ovation. You raise some interesting points. I always find that the MDR is hit and miss in fact on my last Encore cruise I ate in TK grill most nights as it offers much better food and service. The TK bar is also the best bar for drinks and offers a selection of cocktails whilst you listen to a pianist playing. Sushi and E&O are great but the colonnade is only good for breakfast and lunch.I always avoid for dinner. Overall it is good that you will book another cruise with Seabourn.
  10. Well said Baz and well observed. I will be taking two tuxedos on my August trip I will also take a suit and ties and jackets. You can never be overdressed if the suit fits properly and feels comfortable. It is easy to be scruffy and not bother about your appearance. A Gentleman should always make an effort and compliment his wife or partner.
  11. Wong Kei is still going strong and insulting diners regularly It's in Wardour Street South of Shaftesbury Ave
  12. DW, We're you with Jeremy when he was a t The Lanesborough under Geoffrey Gelardi Colin Short was head concierge
  13. I would go to The Delaunay It has a varied menu and the room is lovely. www.thedelaunay.com
  14. Markham,I agree with your facts and theories. I sail on the product that suits my style and taste. I do not go through life thinking about who owns what and if laws and rules of those countries effect my holiday plans and enjoyment. If I did then I might not want to sail on any US owned vessel because I don't agree with the US gun laws. Terrible and sad things happen all over the World, some of it will affect us and some of it will not.
  15. What a choice you have in London for food of every type and price point. One of my favourite places to eat is The Goring Hotel which has a very well run English dining room. As Jeff suggests British pub food is popular and wholesome. You will not be disappointed with the wealth of choice here in London. Have a great Time.
  16. The other star chef that is making his mark on Padstow in Cornwall is Paul Ainsworth. He is a great chef and I think he already has four venues in the area. He's worth a look.
  17. I might have to get a new outfit for formal evening also.
  18. We could even see more alcohol and the retreat could be turned into a Harem.
  19. I have take Seabourn Air on many occasions if the price has been competitive and it has sometimes been much cheaper than I could get it myself. Other times it was not so cheap I'm not fussed about the included air if that is the decision Seabourn makes Let's judge it if and when it arrives
  20. Do you mean as far back when Britain had an Empire.
