  1. Thanks for the answers, my main concern was if the batteries might corrode if leaving them in.
  2. Good Morning, Dailyites! Thank you to everyone here for making this a place of sharing and caring. Cheers to those celebrating and hugs to those on the care list. I have been laying low this week because of some news I received that just totally bummed me out. My very best friend growing up lost her husband last weekend and it really hit home. We were each other's honor attendants (her only and my first wedding) and even tho we don't communicate as much as we should, we can pick right up just like miles and years have melted away. OK, enough of my sad story. On to Haines. We were there on July 1, 2019, during our 21-day Alaskan cruise on Maasdam which was round trip from San Francisco (wonderful cruise). Here's a video taken from our balcony 58369161756__37B202F5-FF4C-44D2-9606-C7A998A18A72.mov Welcome sign and a shore excursion "window" The welcoming committee of one They have a hammer museum -- who would have thought! We did not go. For the Garden Club OK, now for some food porn. Just had to have at least one more fried Halibut sandwich ๐Ÿ˜ Maasdam on our walk back A hearty Alaskan and his daughter taking a dip - burrr! I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Kay
  3. We will only be using our AirTags for travel. My question is -- do you store them between trips with the battery removed? Next trip isn't until November. TYIA
  4. I was born and raised in the Midwest and, of course, we have junk drawers ๐Ÿ˜„
  5. Good Morning Dailyites! Haven't had an ice cream soda in years (lemon or chocolate were my favs), had a Coney dog for lunch Monday, and had a lollipop (DumDum) last Friday after my visit to the dermatologist -- yes, they put out DumDums at the check-out ๐Ÿญ. Cheers to those on the congratulatory list and hugs to those on the cares list. We have been to Valletta, Malta, twice. The last time was on Pacific Princess (4/8/2016), the TA segment (Venice to FLL) of the World Cruise. Our pictures are mostly the same as has already been shown, so I will just post a little food porn. DH had read that stewed rabbit is the Maltese national dish so he just "had" to try it. We found this little hole-in-the-wall and away we went! Shared starter Spaghetti Bolognese for me - no thanks to ๐Ÿ‡ Here's the star of the show -- stewed rabbit It also came with salad and fries -- we were stuffed when we walked out! Of course a bottle of red wine to wash it all down ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a great day, everyone! Kay
  6. @richwmnand @lindaler I think if you go here https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/worry-free-promise/travel-well/frequently-asked-questions.html then follow the links for your specific departure area, you will find the "current" answers. Hope this helps!
  7. Awww, my favorite marine mammal ๐Ÿ’•. Thanks, Sandi!

We were in Kodiak June 28, 2019, during Maasdam's 21-day Alaska cruise round trip from San Francisco. Loved this cute little boat chugging past us Keep an Eagle Eye out on the visitors An interesting sculpture The history museum and Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center View of town from Maasdam Hope everyone has a great day! Kay
  9. It doesnโ€™t scroll left/right or up/down. Sorry. The screenshot was in landscape. Thanks guys for the answers. Will look on desktop tomorrow.
  10. Could someone please tell me how to see the complete table/chart? Hereโ€™s a screenshot of what I see on my iPad. Thank you.
  11. @CATandSQUID Thanks for starting this thread, have marked the link for future reference. Unfortunately, our request was denied because they donโ€™t combine this with a casino offer.
  12. @StLouisCruisers Sandi โ€” adding our condolences to Amy, her children and all your family on the passing of Buddy. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿค—
  13. Good Morning, Dailyite Family -- It's gonna be another scorcher here in Central Florida ๐Ÿ˜“. Cheers to those on the celebratory list ๐Ÿฅ‚ and hugs to those on the care list ๐Ÿค—. We were in Monaco on 4/12/15 during a segment of Pacific Princess World Cruise from Civitavecchia to Fort Lauderdale. We docked in Nice and took a ship tour that gave us quite a bit of free time at all the stops. This is the final resting place of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace (Kelly) in the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate. Also a portrait of their wedding day. We then walked up to the Prince's Palace, had some time to kill ๐Ÿป, then saw the changing of the guard. Statue of Franchesco Grimaldi who captured Monaco in 1297 and established the royal dynasty who rules to this day. @marshhawk they were setting up for the Grand Prix when we were there! Next they took us out to the casino for some more free time. We did not go inside. Some very expensive vehicles parked in front And our very expensive beers (1 large, 1 small) ๐Ÿ˜ฑ at least they threw in the snacks! Remember, this is Euros in 2015. Have a great day, everyone! Kay --
  14. Good Morning, Dailyites! Thanks to all who contribute here, cheers to those celebrating and hugs to those on the care list. @rafinmd, Roy, condolences on the passing of your cousin; @StLouisCruisers, Sandi, glad it wasn't a blood clot but bummer they don't know what is causing the pain. We rented a car in Skagway on 5/7/2008 and drove up to Whitehorse. Sorry we missed the weathervane @Quartzsite CruiserLenda showed -- that's impressive! Here are some photos from our drive. The suspension bridge outside Skagway The road toward Fraser Border crossing Welcome to the Yukon! @rafinmd I remember a picture of you and your late brother in front of this sign! @marshhawk, we also stopped at Carcross (had to see the desert) Finally, Whitehorse. Lenda covered most everything else we saw, so will post local beer and lunch Back into Canada ๐Ÿ˜ฑ And, finally back in the USA Have a lovely day everyone! Kay
  15. Lenda, Not Susan, but our local shelter gladly took two 33 gallon trash bags full of towels, beach towels, etc. from us in 2020 (lockdown linen closets clean out ๐Ÿ˜). They even said they were taking sheets. Kay
  16. Firstly, to all our Northern neighbors -- WOW, Sandi @StLouisCruisers -- Heathrow was a nightmare! Guess we dodged a bullet by choosing Gatwick (only because they offered the only n/s flight to Orlando). I admire you having everything already unpacked, laundered and put away -- our 2 large suitcases are still sitting in the living room! We were zombies all day yesterday, Jim finally decided to run to the store late afternoon so we would have something in the house to eat for dinner and breakfast. (Lunch yesterday was carry-out after returning the rental and the dinner he brought home was Publix fried chicken ๐Ÿ˜‹) Thank you to all who contribute here -- cheers to those on the celebratory list and healing hugs to the care list. Kay
  17. Thank you, Roy. We had a very smooth disembarkation, ship transfer to Gatwick, and a great 9 hour n/s flight to Orlando. Then picked up rental car and arrived home at 9:30 tonight. Really pooped, couldnโ€™t sleep well last night and have now been awake for 24 hours ๐Ÿ˜ฑ (maybe a couple of cat naps on the flight). Enjoy your cruise!
  18. HIP, HIP, HOORAY x3! ๐Ÿฅณ Great view of town, Sandi, weโ€™re on the opposite side.
