  1. It looks like Carnival sent out different emails. I received one with symbols and numbers, with "staggered checkin" mixed in. It came from Carnivalfax or something like that. I didn't know what it meant so I deleted it.

Now I went to checkin and there is a new button to select a time for checkin. Does anyone know if the checkin time will correspond to boarding time? I wonder how they will know how to stop people. I haven't noticed anything different on the boarding pass yet.

From what I've read you can board after you check in. Since they typically let people board early anyways.

  2. Thanks so much for posting as I did not get the letter but I was able to pick a good time online. My husband thought something horrible was happening when I saw the post and said "Oh No" and he is all "what's wrong??" I said "Staggered Check-In" and he asked who got stabbed with alarm. Then of course he is demanding information and I can't talk because I have to find my check-in time :) I would love if someone could post the full letter so I can see. I have the same question - I picked 10:00 - 10:30. Assume it is OK if I arrive after 10:30? I likely won't but don't want to stress. I wonder how many people can pick each slot. In the end, will this actually give me a good advantage since I didn't buy FTTF?

  3. Anyone know how this works for FTTF passes?!?

I haven't gotten an email, but when I looked at the online check in, the option was there (with 10:00 being the earliest check in)

According to the email, if you have FTTF or are Platinum/Diamond, you can still show up at your leisure.

  4. That email was so shoddy. No text in the body of the email, just an attachment that was a photocopy of a letter. Didn't seem professional. No clickable links? And the web addresses that they listed (for you to transpose into your browser, since they didn't create a link) were incorrect and went nowhere. I was super surprised and thought maybe it was a scam or something at first.

Same here. I was skeptical but I checked it anyways. It was a very creepy situation lol

  5. Thank you, these are great.

I'm actually searching for questions about the ship. There is a list of things to do, things to bring and a list of questions about ship facts.

The ship facts turn out too easy to google:D, so I'm looking for really tough ones.

Are you planning on sharing the questions beforehand? Because if not, they won't be able to google them once on the ship lol

  6. I guess I am missing something, why do you need the cruise line to tell you its an elegant night to wear a nice dress. If you want to wear it on your birthday, why don't you do it. As far as I know there is no rule about being dressed up on non elegant nights.

    You definitely are missing something.

I'm wearing a nice dress on my birthday regardless. It's a matter of where. Since the elegant night is not on my birthday like I originally thought I won't be wearing it in the MDR, I will be going to the steakhouse and wearing it there.

  7. Yes we are! I guess I coulda asked this question in the Roll Call lol.

I'm just annoyed b/c I thought the second elegant night was gonna be on the last sea day (my birthday) so I was using that as an excuse to buy a really nice bday dress LOL. AND I booked a table for 16 at the steakhouse for the day we're in the Grand Cayman port...hopefully they'll let me switch it around.

  8. It has to be done on board by either connecting to the wi-fi with any of your personal devices, or going to one of the computers on board and signing up there. You just enter your details and can use a ship's computer or any one device at a time on the wi-fi. Meaning if you'd like to let your cabin mate use the wi-fi, you can log off and then provide them your login details and they'd be set to go. Not a bad idea if you don't think you'll both be using it all the time, easy to share a plan and then share the cost.

    Thank you!
