    Unless you are in International waters the casino would not be open so prizes would not be available

    They bring pastries to every table at suite breakfast. I always say no but they will ask every day

    It is going into a full dry dock in Portland tomorrow. It should be all sparkling after that. If you need tons of casual food venues than non of the non Royal class ships would be what you want. We love the Ruby and do not like the Royal class ships which in my opinion have the noisiest piazzas in the fleet

    This has been a rumor for several months. When I was on the Discovery the concierge said they were considering using the old loyalty managers as concierge’s to help but there would not be a lounge area

    If it is something like steak or shrimp omelette I would ask a day or so in advance. For most egg dishes, pancakes, French toast fruit etc no problem

    We brought a steamer one time last year and were called to security to open our suitcase. The steamer was taken and we didn’t get it back till we got off the ship

    That would have no impact the cost of crew appreciation is the same regardless of package it is by class of stateroom

    No you are correct the only free casual venue was the pizzeria which does not exist on all ships

    The main point here is no matter what health coverage you have make sure you have room on your credit card to cover major medical issues especially if you end up hospitalized outside the US

    If you upgraded to a higher class of stateroom there may be an increase in crew appreciation I do not know the length of your cruise

    Princess cruise insurance will not cover medical services on ship. Many health plans such as mine will reimburse you after you are home and file a claim but you will be charged on your folio while on board

    People in Portland do not use umbrellas if we see someone with one we assume they are from another state

    Some people consider things like lobster or prime rib to be spectacular. For me the best dishes are things like the duck appetizer and some of the seafood dishes

    You do realize that this ship is still benign built ?

    You can call the dine line when you get on board to arrange first night dinner assuming you cruise is at least 6 days. Breakfast is very personal with great attention.

    We put them in battery recycling all the time no problem

    You are more likely to get future cruise offers for free cabins rather than something on the current cruise. We have been offered a meal in Sabatini’s in the past and usually have to tell them not to send the strawberries ( they don’t really hold up)

    Be aware you cannot smoke at the casino bar or at only table games. The smoking are of slots is full of people gambling and not there to just hang out and socialize. If you sit at a machine and are not playing someone who wants to use the machine will probably kick you out of that seat

    Only Royal class ships have the lounge

    We have international calling plans so when out of the country we can have unlimited data and calls for $10 a day

    We already have a July 2024 and May 2025 for Alaska they were both booked as soon as they were available

    We just wear masks if we play in the smoking area which helps somewhat. I would never ask someone not to smoke in the smoking area
