The only reason we strayed from the point of the thread to Cruise Atlas was some using previous “Atlas” and its description of *****. This new one seems to me to have substantial but subtle differences. EG Is there a mandate that the ***** or cruise card be carried at all times? Etc. Mike

The only time I would consider bidding is if it is the real deal and cruise very unusual eg the maiden Majestic to Shanghai last summer or one like the original poster bought. Mike

I checked the Princess web site about Captains circle perks and it says for those platinum and above an Atlas will automatically be mailed annually. It does not say anything about others. I imagine they will mail it on request. Later. It only speaks of Ocean Medallion on p. 26 and then to say it is not necessary to have.....nothing is said about having to carry card or Medallion everywhere on the ship. Although I imagine if you wish to use casino or buy anything or get back in your cabin you must carry one or the other. ***** is very much downplayed in my opinion and subtle description changes made. As far as I can tell due to fine print and old eyes it is not what is referred to above. Mike

Was on Majestic last, and if my memory is correct, behind the Bartender are the doors that open to the casino.

The doors are on either side of the bar. Frankly I believe this is just a temporary change for the Winter Southern market and will revert when it returns to China for high rollers. Mike

I’ve on the Regal 3 times in a year, by chance. I hardly go near the buffet. Each ship in the fleet has pros and cons and I must be easily pleased but I like all in the fleet. However, Pacific Princess, one of the oldest and smallest is my favorite. Mike

Traditionally 3 for free has an automatic upgrade in same category. As I recall obstructed balcony is usually in with interior. You might get a balcony or more likely an obstructed balcony in what they consider a better location. Mike

I as a solo spend very little time in the cabin and when alone it is plenty big for me. Others that are solo may spend a lot of time there. If I had 2-4 people in the cabin I would be concerned. Mike

I am one of the older folks and realize that age has nothing to do with computer literacy. However, I would say it has a lot to do with privacy concerns which many young folks I know aren’t concerned Mike
