This so awesome! Thanks for answering my questions so quickly!

Did you book a suite?
We did book a junior suite for the double points. We also were given a 150.00 OBC
, and a balcony discount was extended to us even though we turned platinum on this cruise.
So we can keep the stateroom we chose, and the OBC, plus any of the perks the travel agent offers? Is that correct?

We have always booked with RC directly. On our last trip we booked another cruise while onboard. The agent mentioned something about transferring to our travel agent to handle the details.
Is this a common thing and do we save anything, maybe get other perks?
Thank you!

Just want to put in a suggestion. I purchased Wine Diapers for a trip home from Italy. They were available on Amazon, very inexpensive, and are reusable. Packed the wine in checked bags and they made it home intact.

We have stayed at the Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo, and really liked it. Quiet neighborhood in the middle of Venice. Walk anywhere.
We stayed there because our children recommended it from their honeymoon. It was just wonderful!!!
The staff was very helpful, they were even able to get us a reservation at LaZuppa.
We loved that it had a neighborhood feel.
The breakfast each morning was delicious, we still talk about the fresh peach croissants.

We loved it for lunch in the Solarium on the Oasis.
Wondering if it is available at lunch on the Harmony?
-
sorry about a quick hijack--do they offer the gazpacho at lunch in the Solarium on the Harmony? I really enjoyed it on the Oasis.

Thank You everyone for the information.

could someone explain to me how this works?
I would like to bring 2 bottles of special wine for us to enjoy at dinner. We brought them back from a trip to Greece. Do I just take them to dinner the first night or do they need to be checked in beforehand. Is there a fee to uncork them? Can I request the bottles and corks be saved?
Thank you!

We usually only have a pot of coffee delivered and tip a dollar.

Imodium--- learned the hard way once. Didn't know enough Italian to ask for it😜
Clear over the door hanger, different size clips for securing bathing suit to balcony chairs, small sewing kit, and binoculars.

I have searched for them, but haven't had any luck. Would someone be so kind as to direct me.
Thank you!

Yes. It actually had a long list. Thank you!

Thank you! I'm relieved. I get a little crazy with the planning.
I had no idea there was a separate page for the U.K. It is really user friendly and a bit faster. Thank you Bob.

we are finalizing plans for a 9- night cruise out of Rome in Oct. 2018. For several reasons we are not able to book now, but we cruise in 3 weeks and would like to do it then.
My problem is I see 3 of the dates have only 5 junior suites available. Is it possible that is true? It is still a year and 8 months in advance. Kind of worrying.

We have been to the port once before. We took a ship excursion call " The Heart of Jamaica ". It consisted of a trip to a working sugar cane plantation, papaya farm. We went to a spot at the farm and we enjoyed a meal of jerk chicken and a rum tasting. It was very interesting and fun. We loved it. We loved talking to the people, they were very kind and helpful.
On our trip in a few weeks we have booked a walking culinary tour of Falmouth. It gets very high praise from TripAdvisor.
Not everyone appreciates tours like these, but we love to learn about the people and cultures of the places we visit.

I have been reading this thread with interest. I am just a bit confused. How is it that a cruise is booked without choosing a stateroom when booking. We have only booked 4 so far but we have always chosen a room.

Thank You you very much for taking the time posting the tips. I was wondering if you know if two person kayaks could be rented on Labadee. I am afraid my back would not allow me to do a SUP, but with hubby helping I may be able to paddle out in a kayak.

And I reserved an aft balcony - so I'm very excited!
First time ever travelling to Europe. First time on Jewel.
We are going September 9, 2018 on the Italy/Greek Islands 9 night. Any advice? Recommendations?
We did the Eastern Med in Sept. 2015, on the Splendour. It was our first time in Europe also.
We are planning the western 9 day in Oct 2018.
My advice would be to plan for tours using TripAdvisor or your roll call. We had great success going that route. We booked a private tour of our chosen spots on Santorini with a wonderful guide, expensive but worth it.
Have a great cruise!

I believe my e-mail said beginning of March. That is a bit vague. We are planning on booking asap for a Med. Cruise in Sept 18., so we will be watching too.

To high jack this a little I'm a non-drinker and have been asked to buy some rum for a family member. Any advice?

We love Appleton Rum and I can vouch for the Sangsters Rum Cream---we love it on grilled pineapple with a scoop of ice cream. Heaven!

Has anyone done the 3 reef snorkel in Cozumel Through RCCL?
Â
Yes! We loved it. At some point they will send divers down with you and they take underwater photos. They take a zodiac back to shore and prepare the pictures. Very reasonably priced. The staff of the boat were very kind and informative to those who had never snorkels before. Scenery was beautiful.

We were on a Med cruise during the Splendours' last season. On the two sea days they had a BBQ by the pool, with burgers and brats. On the other day they made paella by the pool, really fascinating to watch and delicious.

I would love to see a self service laundry too. So many times while on a cruise we add extra days before returning home. It sure would save on the amount of luggage needed.
