  1. Sorry, I missed that one. I hope everyone that is booked on the Sun makes it to Kotor. It is a gorgeous port.
  2. I think a murder mystery on a cruise would be fun. Years ago my wife and I wrote and directed a couple of mysteries for a small group of friends where each had a part to play. One was Murder on the Mauritania and the other was Hijinx in the Hindenburg. We gave the actors crazy names like Senator Phillip Buster and textiles heiress Polly Esther. It was a blast.
  3. I think High Seas Heist is only available on ships sailing the Red Sea or off the coast of Somalia. 🤪
  4. According to the Kotor port schedule, the Sun was to be in Kotor on the 11th, again on May 6th, June 17, July 29, August 19, September 9th. The Sun Princess at 175,000 tons is by far the largest ship on the port schedule. http://www.portofkotor.co.me/ I suspect, as previous posters have pointed out, is the ship is too large to navigate the channel. Celebrity Edge is slightly shorter and slightly narrower than the Sun, and is 140,000 tons and only calls on Bar, not Kotor for every Montenegro stop this season.
  5. We actually docked in Kotor a few years ago when on the Azamara Quest and remember one of the Princess ships anchored. This is a beautiful port and one of our most memorable cruises. It would be a shame to miss it.
  6. Really? A $12 charge if you want eggs and bacon in the morning. Do they charge for room service every time you order something throughout the day? That's insane!
  7. We are considering a fall 2025 TA cruise between HAL and Celebrity. Both are similar in price with similar sailings, but the Have It All package with HAL seems to include more. This would help doing a side by side comparison. Thanks in advance.
  8. We had the same thing happen on our Nov Regal cruise. Our situation was a little different. We were in an accessible Mini. Since there were no accessible Minis available in the base category we were only charged for the base Mini Suite. When the base fare went down, we tried to re-fare, but the price actually went up. So we canceled the original booking, and booked online at the lower price.
  9. I've seen that too! We had her booked, but she got sold before we were able to cruise on her. We got a nice offer from RSSC that made up for it, but we still would have loved to sail on her at least once.
  10. Can you imagine? Isaac, can I have another drink please? Sure, but where is your medallion sir? 🤪
  11. Agree 100%. It's everything. I just retired after 30years working for a national homebuilder as Senior Market Manager. A glorified name for sales. The prices were going up so dramatically that we had to start stripping amenities out of homes and build smaller ones on smaller homesites, just to keep them somewhat affordable. Then got the double whammy of rising interest rates.
  12. I miss the old Princess. I think this can be said for most cruise lines these days, post Covid. We love Seabourn, but even they are not the same as they used to be. Pay more but get less seems to be the new rule.
  13. There is an app for I-Phones and Androids that you can download to your phone in the app store. Then enter your email and password. It is a little bit hard to find the rewards. It was buried under benefits.
  14. Never mind. Must be my computer. Did it in the app on my I-Phone and it worked just fine.
  15. I have been trying to purchase a $500 gift card to apply towards our cruise since last week. Princess gift card has disappeared from the rewards listings, but do show up when I search by name. I have only purchased a $100 gift card previously, just to test it and that was over a month ago. When I try to purchase the $500 one, it takes me to the payment screen and I get an error message. It has happened on over 10 try's since last week. I talked to our cruise mates and they were able to do theirs over a week ago.
  16. I've never heard of a waitlist and we also require an accessible cabin. We book pretty far in advance to get one. Are you past final payment date yet? If not, check right after final payment and see if one pops up. If it does, call Princess right away and make the request to change. We have a TA cruise from Rome to FLL booked on HAL. Princess didn't have any accessible Mini-Suites available, but we keep checking. Good luck!
  17. It is impossible for either of us. My wife has one leg that won't bend due to a stroke and I have neuropathy in my legs and feet. We both enjoy pool time. Not sure what the thought process was on these newer ships. At least we have other options.
  18. It appears from the pictures I have seen that there is no beach entry or built in steps with railing into any of the pools, only ladder type steps. I can see steps into the wading area on the main pool, but not into the actual plunge area. Is that correct or am I missing something?
  19. There is also a Sofitel attached to terminal 5 at LHR. Nice hotel and was convenient when AA was using T5. Unfortunately, AA now uses T3.
  20. Not according to my Southern Baptist Sunday School Teacher! The water that was turned into wine by Jesus, was alcohol free. 🤣
  21. I learned a lesson several years ago about jumping to conclusions. Ok maybe I've had to learn it a few times. There could have been something else going on or maybe not. Either way it is up to the cruise line to handle it properly. We were on a cruise years back when I spotted someone that I had worked with maybe 10 years earlier. I said, that looks like so and so, but neither of us were sure. I wanted to go over and say hi, but he was hanging out with this 20 y.o. something girl that was clearly not his wife. I saw him hanging out with her in the bars and dancing with her, and sometimes at dinner and a few times out at the pool. He had his arm around her, even when she was with her friends. He never acknowledged me, so we just kept to ourselves. When I got back to work, my boss asked how the cruise was. I said, it was great, but I thought I had seen this so and so onboard, but wasn't sure. To which he answered, it was him. His daughter is a dancer on the ship and he went to see her. The wife couldn't leave the business, so she is going in a couple of weeks. I am sure glad I kept my mouth shut!
  22. It is also dependent on flight times and restricted to certain airlines.
