  1. TAs do hold/own blocks of cabins up until final payment. We have often cruised as part of a TAs group benefiting from the reduced rates and some freebies, but not actually being involved with or in the activities of the group. Unsold cabins are returned to the cruise line at final payment. That is one reason you see groups of cabins become available after final payment date.
  2. You are better off using a cruise only TA. There is no money in hotels or air, so do thar yourself. Stuff does with hotels but if your reservation is missing they will find you a room nearby.
  3. We deal with the same person unless its their day off. In that case another agent answers or responds to email. We have even had the TA respond from a cruise to handle an issue.
  4. The lowest price and best cabin selection will always be with a TA if you find one who shares their commission as OBC and honors price drops. You can still find your perfect cruise, if you like and have a TA book it. Or, if you wish, you can book with Royal and then transfer to a TA for additional OBC, free specialty restaurants or free gratuities. Perk value max is a set % of cruise fare. But even if you are a cabin bargain shopper, $50 is still money! 47 cruises w/Royal and 3 booked.
