  1. 11:05 am. Suites started boarding at 11:00. By 11:05 we had checked into our muster station and I found my first duck!
  2. Correction - looks like B2B pax are just in a separate waiting area, although I’m not 100% sure as they are on the other side of the terminal.
  3. 10:14 am. Have been through security, had our picture taken and now sitting in the suite area waiting for boarding. All the B2B pax are heading back on board at the moment. Free wifi in the terminal which makes for happy teenagers.
  4. Just dropped our luggage. Took 1 minute. We are now in the line up for suites outside the terminal. Pinnacles and suites are now entering the terminal at 10 am. The line for suites and the regular line are close to each other and we ended up in the wrong line at first. Our eagle eared son heard the announcement for suites to enter the terminal so we quickly and easily switched lines. We are now standing inside the terminal waiting for security to start.
  5. In the Uber on the way to the port! Just went through the security gate and presented our passports. Almost to our home for the next two weeks! Terminal 18.
  6. Thanks! Do we drop our luggage with the porters or is there a different place for suite guests?
  7. It’s boarding day! We’re having breakfast at the hotel and decided it was the perfect time to complete our muster check. Video has been watched, horn has been listened to. All we have to do now is visit our muster station (G1 - Aquatheater) once we board to complete the drill.
  8. You have to wait until you are on board to book, but suite guests actually don’t need to make reservations for shows. You can just show your suite card at the door and you can go right in up to 30 minutes before the shows. The only thing you need to book is the comedy shows.
  9. Looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day here in Florida! We enjoyed the free breakfast offered by the hotel and are now getting ready to go to the pool for the day. We love having a full day of relaxation before boarding the ship, especially after a full day of travel.
  10. The pool looks lovely. Will probably spend the majority of tomorrow there. The gym is near the pool. I will definitely spend no time there.
  11. Leg 2 complete! No delays or storms. We are all slightly jet lagged but glad to be in the hotel enjoying the air conditioning. It's 33 degrees (Celsius) here at the moment and our east coast Canadian bodies are slightly overwhelmed 🙂 Food has been ordered and we're heading out for a little look around the hotel to see what's what (mainly to find out where the pool is)
  12. The first week is an 8 night southern Caribbean and the second week is a 6 week western Caribbean. The ports are Aruba, Curaçao, Labadee, Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatan.
  13. Thanks! I followed your live thread last week in anticipation of this week. We can’t wait to take advantage of all the perks. We’ve heard from our concierge and we’re really excited for this trip.
  14. First leg of our flight complete without incident. No line up at customs or security in Montreal. Now we’re waiting for the next flight leg, watching the planes land. We’ve been hearing that there might be some issues due to potential thunderstorms in the area but so far everything is still on schedule.
  15. Our Canadian family of 4 is officially headed to Allure on Saturday thanks to these beauties! We used WM Life Centres based in Calgary for our virtual testing. Cost us a total of $35 ($20 for the first person, plus an additional $5 per each extra person) for the online appointment and we had our results emailed to us within 15 minutes of taking the tests. We lucked out since we could use test kits that we had on hand that were supplied by the kids school last year when in person learning restarted. We fly to Fort Lauderdale dark and early tomorrow morning on Air Canada and will enjoy some time relaxing at our hotel before we board the ship. We have booked a Crown Loft Suite for the first time which puts us in Sky Class for the first time. We're all looking forward to trying out some venues that we couldn't access before. This will be our second time on Allure and we can't wait to see what adventures are in store.
  16. Looking forward to your review. We are staying in a crown loft on Allure starting on the 20th. Can’t wait to see what’s in store.
  17. Ship - Jewel Deck - 8 Stateroom # - 8036 Stateroom Category – Connecting Ocean View Balcony Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? – Yes. Even though this room was next to the elevator, we did not have any issues with noise from guests. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes Balcony View - No obstructions. These balconies are a little further recessed so you can look down into the balconies on the deck below to see your neighbors if they are standing near the railings. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - No. Air conditioner wasn't working the greatest when we boarded but maintenance came and fixed it without issue. Any other comments? - The room is smaller than others in the same category on bigger ships because the ship itself is smaller. But it was perfect for us for the 14 nights we spent there. There is a clothesline in the shower and it does have the shampoo dispenser. There is a ledge behind the couch that wasn't in our friend's cabin which was great for extra storage.
