  1. 3/4 mile from main dock, they may have free shuttles to get you to the main dock in town.
  2. Yeah, people are going to pay "Suite Prices" now just to get free wings. Yes, that seems like a great deal! NOT !
  3. can the other roommate find someone to go in your place?
  4. Possible Home2 Suites By Hilton Warminster Horsham Seems to be in our target area, it's about 1 hour from my Sister's house in the right direction toward I-81. Would save us an hour driving time the next morning. Reviews seem to be decent there of the hotel. Do you have any other hotels in that area which might also be good?
  5. Will work fine for us. We will be coming from a hotel in Horsham Pa We will catch Interstate 276 West ,drive for 2 hours straight to Interstate 81 South.....then 5 hours straight through on 81 and we are home in Southwest Virginia. Not many turns at all for us.
  6. After searching the aaa.com site, I found where you can make your own Trip Tik's no matter if you are a member or not you can print your own on your own printer you just don't get it in a spiral binder. 😞 Here is the link https://triptik.aaa.com/home/ Put in your starting point and then your destination. Then click GET DIRECTIONS Once that page open, click on the Menu/ 3 lines in the upper left hand corner of the page. Once that page opens click PRINT OPTIONS Then click the Red Box that says CREATE PRINT OPTIONS Take about 10 seconds to load the pages in a PDF file for you to then print off. Really easy, try it....... Just remember, you can move the route around a little bit on your own if you want to go your own way in the beginning before you get to the printing part., you don't always have to take the shortest quicker route in case you rather hit some favorite areas you want to travel through.
  7. The crew should get double pay for putting up with all that for a week for sure.
  8. Does AAA charge for those paper routes, would be also nice to a have a paper guide on our drive from NJ to Virginia in September after our cruise from Bayonne. How do you go about getting one of those Trip Tik's Little surprised we both did it also, the drive to there was bad enough with steep inclines and lots of curves in the road. Once we got there we rested by the picnic tables for about 5 minutes and then went in the gift shop and said well we are here, lets just do it. $8.00 a person and we were on our way. The tower they say is about 100 ft, I think that was not counting the 12 steps or so up just to get ot the tower. We only stopped once on the way up to rest for about 3 minutes and then went to the very top...........Seems a lot higher then the 112ft though when looking down and out. It wasn't even that windy when we were there but at the top it was a little colder and the top swayed a little bit too, they say they is normal so it won't break. Hahaha......right. We went down after spending about 5 minutes at the top.........that was enough for us. 🙂
  9. After being in Virginia for 2 and half years this morning we finally made it to Big Waker Lookout. It's 100 ft high but seems much higher. From the tower you can actually see 5 states. Virginia ,Kentucky,West Viginia, North Carolina and TN. Took a few pictures, most not very good. It was a little hazy when we were there early this morning. Still an awesome view from the tower. https://www.scenicbeauty-va.com/
  10. It's lucky your Grandson got anything signed by Hines wearing that Bengals cap. 🤣 I wouldn't exactly blame the seller for tickets costing that much, I would more like blame the buyers who buy tickets at those prices. Believe me if nobody buys at those prices, the prices would be alot lower and more reasonable.
  11. Guess this whole thread is bogus then? Complete waste of time reading it. Carry on..........
  12. If that is the case , if you can't believe the posts we read on here of someone's cruise experience( good or bad) when they were on their ship why should we believe what you posted?
  13. That's an easy fix just raise prices once a ship is at or near full and others won't book.
  14. That's ashame, petty stuff like that will make some cruisers look for another cruise line next time when booking their next cruise. What is the Royal thinking?
  15. Vincentown Diner, Intersection of Rt 206 & Rt 38 Southampton, NJ 08088..........I assume you are taking the NJ Turnpike, you would get off at Exit 7 and head south on Rt 206 for about 13 miles one way from the Exit.
  16. You might be right, the feel of entitlement might be raging by the time some later cruisers board. Just might not be the same kind of feeling around the ship as a usual cruise. I guess only time will tell how it goes.
  17. Seems then you have nothing to lose right. Reserve the the restaurant and time you want on day 1 or 2 for 1 person on your cruise planner at the reduced rate, show up with 2 persons. They have the table reserved for 1 person but can easily add the second place setting to that 2 person table, since there are no 1 person tables. Use your B1G1F coupon if allowed at reduced cruise planner price , if not they cancel your original reservation for 1 person and charge you for 1 onboard price, other dinner is free. This way I'm assured getting the time and restaurant we want. Why feel the need to rush and go there on boarding day. Correct?
  18. Miss the Vincentown Diner ALOT ! Just checked and the same house we stayed at on 23rd Street in Ship Bottom is still there right next to The Sand Trap miniature golf course. Unreal the house is still there, when we stayed there 50 years ago it had no AC, looks like they have window units now.........Always got a nice breeze through the windows though. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.6409704,-74.1835235,3a,75y,229.24h,80.61t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sGJbfUIjUbJwEwFjAKuwnVA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 The little gray house with the white car in the driveway. The pizza and ice cream shop( Joey's Pizza) is across the street same side of road is still there too............I'm pretty sure it was a different name then..........but at least it's still there.
  19. I guess I got my green thumb from my Father. When I was little my Father had large garden. We had a road stand and sold vegetables out in front of our house. My brother and I even used to carry vegetables in a wagon and go up and down the street in our neighborhood selling vegetables out of the wagon. He always said the garden besides fresh produce for us was to pay for the gasoline to mow the yard. But it also was to afford a 7 day rental at LBI at the Jersey Shore for many years.. Still remember those vacations like yesterday.
  20. So this is true with their insurance? 90% FCC ? any reason? Cancel For Any Reason Cruise Vacation Enhancement: up to 90% of Royal Caribbean cancellation fees in the form of a future cruise credit if you cancel for any other reason
