I can’t decide between Princess Sky or Norwegian Escape for a family vacation on a Baltic cruise. kids are 5-10 years old. I read posts about people not wanting kids on their ship, so I’m just not sure which ship we would fit in best? Husband & I just cruised Princess Royal and loved it but we didn’t have our kids. On paper NCL seems to have more kid offerings like ropes course and water slide (though not sure how warm it will be in the Baltic). My concern with Norwegian is that I’ve never cruised them before, I feel like they nickel and dime you with their “freestyle” option... yes Princess seems to attract an older crowd but they do have kid offerings.

I would love to hear your advice. The port itinerary is the same on both ships, Princess has more days at sea though and the ship will be new.

With young kids NCL is much better.

It has been at least 15 years since our last Princess Cruise. I have heard a rumor that Princess is no longer making up beds with a top sheet. Has anyone experienced this? We have been sailing with Celebrity the past few years and thought about giving Princess another try, but are having second thoughts if this is true.

No top sheet but just ask your steward.

I see that the 3 for free offer is ending in a couple of days. Our TA just put a 4 day hold on a Princess cruise for me. (DW and I discussed what we wanted to do for a cruise next summer. The TA and I discussed it and agreed what seemed to fit what we wanted best, but before making a final booking she and I have to discuss it and agree.

My question is do all the perks from the 3 for free still hold if it runs out before the hold, but we book before the hold runs out. ( I realize I should have asked the TA.)

The 3 for free goes until Oct 31.

So let's assume it's around 3pm and I've hit my 15th drink. (It could happen.)

I shift gears and decide that I'm going to power through the night in a caffeine fueled bender with a stop in at the coffee shop, or that energy drinks are the cure for what ails me.  Does Cheers cut you off, after 15 Alcoholic drinks, completely...or are non-alcoholic drinks still available through Cheers?

After 15 at 3:00 pm you fall out in bed and wake up the next day with a hangover.

We've always avoided mega ships. We are doing the Baltics on the Sky in June. My husband must have followed Princess on Instagram because he was watching a video last night and realized that it was of the Sky and asked what ship we are on. He grumbled for a while because he thought we had agreed to avoid big ships. Our favorite ship is the Celebrity Summit. It probably didn't help that he had been flipping through an Oceania brochure before watching the video. I told him the trend is toward bigger ships so we have to at least try one. Can someone make me feel better and reassure him that it won't be a bad experience just because there are 4k passengers on the ship. I've asked him to keep an open mind and if he hates it we don't have to do a big ship again.

    Leave him home.lol
