Great review and pics! This got me even more excited to go on The Oasis in a few weeks!

I get my teeth whitening done at my dentist which is the best way. However, my husband got this done on our last cruise. He waited until the last day because they ran a special. I didn't think it would do anything but I was wrong. I could see a huge improvement with his teeth color. I think it just depends on the teeth coloring and expectations but it did work for him.

I think both of these spots are good DIY spots. We always do tours but did these 2 stops ourselves by renting a car in Corfu and an ATV in Santorini and had great days.

I love your reviews! Your son is adorable!!

Santorini!! Mostly because of Oia and the views. Also loved the windmills and black sand.

Our past 2 cruises were European itineraries. One Mediteranean and one Greek Isles out of Venice. Next time I would consider NCL because it is indeed cheaper(with the same itinerary) and we did not like the ship this past time. We were on Slplendour of the Seas and just were not impressed. However we loved the Liberty of the Seas last summer leaving out of Barcelona. I know people have different preferences of ships but you won't be on the ship that much so I'd go for saving money :)

We love Cozumel. Always feel safe!

We went to Olympia and after just hung out in the town and had lunch and drinks by the water. There is a good beach which we were told is a mile or so away but we didn't go.

Another thing. Corfu was actually really pretty as well. We rented a car and drove around the island ourselves. But we enjoyed our time there also.

For Greece we thought Santorini was by far the best port. It's actually been our favorite port of any cruise we have been on. But as the others said, it may be tough with tendering but I'm sure they have a way for people in wheel chairs to make it easy. As far as Italy, we loved Rome. In my opinion you can't go wrong in Greece and Italy :)

I don't know anything about any of those hotels but it's definitely better to stay closer to the cruise terminal before the cruise as opposed to lugging the luggage a farther distance. We stayed around San Marco and were there in May for pre cruise and post cruise and we just found it difficult with the bags and wish we stayed closer to the cruise terminal.

We used Katakolon Express also back in May. I felt the price was fair. I forget what we paid though at this point. Maybe 20€ per person? However my main issue was we pre booked and found the bus in the morning and sat there on the bus forever while they tried to gain more passengers. I was under the impression you had to pre book and then the bus left at a specific time. I was on Royal Caribbean and then we also picked up a bunch of people on the Norwegian ship that day. When we got there we left the bus and did our own thing which is how we like it. I liked using them for transportation because it was easy. However there was a "tour guide" on the bus and she said for an extra 10€ you could go with her for the day. About 10 people decided to do this. Once everyone was off the bus she took the group into the town and she disappeared. They said the looked for her and couldn't find her. She was not on the bus ride back either. So they felt like basically she took their money and ran. I was not in this group but wanted to tell what happens to others just so you had the info. For the transportation only, you can't go wrong with them.

great review and pics! I joined in at the mr sanchos part bc I saw your link in another thread while doing research for that place. I have 2 questions. What camera did you use under water? And do you know anything about the cabanas at mr sanchos? I love the sun but my husband likes some shade and a good place to keep our stuff.

We just used KE in June and it was fine for us because we liked being on our own in Olympia but needed transportation there.

They had my reservation as they knew I wanted an automatic.
Oh wow. That's good then for you! It wasn't a delay or anything but I was just surprised they didn't have the reservation or car ready. We rented the jimney that is kinda like a tracker here. We had to wait about 5 minutes for them to get it from somewhere. But it was so worth renting a car and doing this stop on your own!

KirkNC - Did you reserve in advance or just find the rental after you arrived? Do you need the International License?
I'm going to cut in but Kirk share your experience too! When I booked from them I reserved it online prior. However, when we got there it was almost like they had no clue. Not like how when you rent a car here they know. I also planned on paying with a credit card but they wanted cash (euros). We were the 1st people there off of our ship but 2 girls were there from somewhere else and they booked the car on the spot. You probably would be fine ever way but I'm a planner so I booked before.

Great review and pics! I love the Southern Caribbean. We also are windjammer people :)

Thanks for the camera info! I don't really need a new camera but after seeing these pics I want one lol!

We rented a car from corfu sunrise car rental and drove around some of the island. Easy place to drive and the scenery was great! Look for Virtual Rain's DIY corfu thread and that gives the best spots to visit. We followed that and added in some of our own stuff and had a great day!

I'm pretty sure this was already asked and I apologize for the repetitiveness but I've been reading along as you post and have no patience to start reading over lol. What camera do you have? Thanks :)

Great review so far. Can't wait for the rest!
