It truly is a guess. Process of elimination too. I doubt it is by the sphere up front. Looking at that ship photo the Sanctuary might be located there. The upper aft now has cabins (suites area) so that leaves one of the lower decks. 🤷‍♀️

You very well could be right since the after on deck 9 is vacant.  Also, the front half on a higher deck.

I am currently looking for a replacement cruise for this fall to replace my Crown booking for the 28 day LA-Hawaii-Tahiti-Samoa-LA.  It makes me angry that Princess has already switched the Crown in 2023, but not for 2022.  They just plan to leave us in this situation.  I still do not understand how or why

they are continuing with the Crown in such bad shape.  Very sad.  I have visions (OK, a fear) of being stranded somewhere in the vast Pacific ocean.  At this point I can't see myself setting foot on her.

I don't think they have changed the Crown out for our same itinerary in March, 2023, but I wish they would.

We were on Caribbean Princess last week, the signs are everywhere and totally ignored.  I estimated 1-2% masking last week.  And then of course Covid cases after the cruise, DH included.

In Florida, the rates of covid are going sky-high.  I think we will start seeing many more cases on board as well.  Unmask at your own risk.

Today the forward half of the port side of Emerald Deck has become the quarantine ward. My cabin is close to the exclusion zone but not too close hopefully.

That seems very strange indeed.  Just got off the Regal, 28 days, and the entire time, port side of Dolphin deck was the quaranteed area.  Why would they suddenly move all those cabins to Emerald deck unless it has just expanded?  I was on starboard side of Dolphin deck and it began as quaranteed from midship to front on port side but before we got off, the entire port side of Dolphin was locked off.

Were you booked as b2b2b2b or as a 21 day cruise?  I have heard different requirements for testing depending which way you booked your cruise.  B2b2b2b I have heard have to disembark, test, then re-embark.  Whereas, I heard 21 day reservations don't make you leave the ship.

Booked as 3 segments, never left the ship for any and was tested at 3 segments

For my upcoming cruise on Regal Princess, I have an aft balcony on the Dolphin Deck. I had assumed this was a good choice (Princess actually "upgraded" my prior balcony to this location). Now I'm hearding that Dolphin is a quarantine deck or right above the quarantine deck on many ships. Should I be worried?

Just got off the Regal after a 28 days cruise.  Our room was on Dolphin 619 starboard.  No problems

I just got my 2nd booster but am curious for those that test positive. Do you have any symptoms? I am worried about our upcoming cruise on Regal next month. Not so much about testing positive, but being quarantined and not being sick.

Boostered and vaxxed but with immune issues so was extremely careful with masking but I think I caught it on a tour right at the end of our 30 day cruise.  My husband has some coughing and very tired but I must admit, covid knocked me on my behind.  Extreme sore throat and cough and very weak.  Today is 5 days and I surely would not have wanted to get quarantined on the Regal.  Apparently they had very slow room service and was not what anyone had expected.  If you feel anything related to a head cold, could be the first sign.

@JemnibabeBrings back our January cruise on Regal. I would love to sail the Mediterranean on her.

We also loved Alfredo's, delicious pizza.

Sorry to hear about the mask wearing. Hope you and DH stay healthy.

Thank you but unfortunately, hubby and I both tested positive right after returning home and we had been very vigilant in the mask wearing.  Unfortunately, others aren't and sometimes we pay the price.  LOL

How long did it take you to disembark in Athens?  I have a 9:45 am domestic flight from Athens airport when I get off the Regal in October and was wondering if I should change it.  Our arrival time is listed as 4:00 am but I know that isn't when people can actually leave.

It wasn't difficult to disembark in Athens but since we had a tour, we stayed on until about 8:30am.  Seems like people were getting off much earlier than that though but I can't say for sure.  Sorry

Hope you had a great cruise despite the weather.

Did you book your cruise as a 28 night cruise or as back to backs.  I have booked a 21 night cruise and wondering whether, as it is made up of three 7 night cruises, I will have to go through the procedure of boarding at each 7 night cruise.

Were films shown only on the big outdoor screen or indoors too?

Were the menus repeated every 7 days?

What was the entertainment and was that also repeated every 7 nights?  What were the times for the theatre?

Was there any daytime activities planned for seadays apart from quizes and bingo?

    Who were the guest speakers?

Do you have to book for Alfredos or just turn up?

Was there a salad bar in the Horizon buffet?

Thank you for any help you can give.

We booked it as a 21 day to Rome and then added a 7 day to Athens.  Never had to get off ship for the different segments but the room steward came to our rooms a day before each segment and gave us a covid test.People getting off and flying home immediately got a test as well for their flight home.  Not much "Movie Under the Stars" since they had the decks blocked off from a western Med. storm that seemed to follow us almost to Naples.  Yes, a salad bar in buffett but nothing was self-serve up there.  Just walk into Alfredos, no reservations needed and it was delicious.  Yes, shows were repeated and both were excellent:  Bravo and Motown Experience that showed at 8pm and 10pm.  Menus were repeated with different variations.  Not a lot of activities because many were outside and the weather was just horrendous.  LOL.  I didn't notice too many movies shown in the theater but I may have not been paying that much attention.  LOL  Despite the weather, we had a great time on the cruise.  As far as covid on the ship, not much mask-wearing after the first few days.  Grrrr.  We were on Dolphin deck, starboard and we noticed port side from mid ship forward, was closed off for covid patients and about half way thru the cruise, the remainder of port side was also locked off so from that, I must assume there were quite a few cases.  I and my husband are feeling non-well now even though we tested negative for our flight home.  Today, I am going to self-test and see if it is serious.  All the crew always wore masks but about 75% didn't, not even in the crowded Princess Live or the theater, where it was recommended.

Thanks much!  Looks like you are a single cruiser and booked individual evenings.  I did expect to see at least two DR's close to sail date.  I wonder when the second one appeared (but you may not know which is fine).

I just got off the Regal Sat. in Athens after spending 28 days (from FLL) and all 3 dining rooms were open the entire time.  As I recall, one of the dining rooms was mainly for club class.  We ate in the aft dining room on 6 and had the same table every night.  I did not make ressies for it.  The weather was horrible when we got across to Spain.  Very high winds, cold and rainy.  We missed quite a few ports due to high winds until we got to Naples.  Then the weather was lovely.  I did not make any reservations for anything pre-cruise but if there is anything else I can answer, will be glad to.

If you didn't see any positive comments in my Regal review, than I don't believe you read the whole thing. We absolutely had a fabulous time.

My main point of the entire thing is that Princess seems to be struggling with brand consistency.

I did indeed read the entire thing the first time but now I have gone back to see if I missed something.  Nope.  Problems with food at Sabatinis, issues with food at Crown Grill, problems with pizza as well, problems with food in MDR, crew wasn't up to par, oh and problems with the Medallion.  I see you enjoyed the casino but everything else seemed to be a big FAIL.  Have since read quite a few positive reviews of the Regal (which happens to be my favorite ship) but it sure didn't sound like you had a fabulous time on the Regal.  Hope you have better luck in the future.

I'm sorry you didn't appreciate my review. I, personally, don't see the point of a review if only the positive points are brought up.

Sure, not being able to get parm at the pizza place is truly a first world problem, but, in context, absolutely everything on a cruise that isn't as it should be is a first world problem.

    Enjoy your cruise!

It's true.  A review should tell both sides of the story but I found it hard to find anything at all positive on the Regal and since I am not booked on the other ship, it was kind of lost on me.  Thanks for trying though.

So sorry you had such a bad experience on the Regal.  Our's from mid-February could not have been more different.

The crew was excellent - always making sure that we were having an enjoyable time.

With the exception of one MDR main course, the food was good to very good.  And when I had the "off" main course, the waiter and Restaurant Manager tried to bring me something else to eat.  They could not have been more apologetic about that dish and were genuinely wanting me to be satisfied with my meal.

We didn't go to Sabatini's so I can't comment on that but Crown Grill was quite good.  It was a formal night and every table was filled so the wait was understandably a little longer than usual but the service and meal were still decent.

We also didn't order from Room Service but went to the dining venues to either sit down and be served or grab our food and everything was the right temperature.  Our agnolotti looked like the picture you showed from the Enchanted.  I love that dish and if it came out overcooked (as it did once) I just send it back.

As for Medallion, no one in our party had any issues with it but I do know it's been a nightmare for many.  The Regal was the first ship to debut the Medallion a few years ago and I had thought that might have been the reason why it worked so well for us.

My only complaint was that we never got the post cruise survey (on which I would have commended several exceptional crew / staff members) and our folio was sent 8 days after disembarkation.

I had heard that quite a few crew members left the ship last week so there could that some folks are getting up to speed.  Many that I spoke to had been on the ship since she started sailing from Southampton last summer but still had a lot of energy and seemed genuinely happy to have us all onboard again.

Oh and I'm sad to hear that the casino is smoking again.  I'd heard that happened on the Sky too.  It was nice to play in a smoke free environment but we left $$ behind unlike your experience!

Thank you so much for your positive reviews.  The previous review with all these 1st world problems, seemed a bit over the top and not at all given a good picture of my coming cruise, Sat., on the Regal.  It is very hard to take negative reviews too seriously when most of us are just feeling so grateful that we can cruise and not have to run for our lives and wonder where our next meal is coming from.  I choose to have a positive attitude for our upcoming Regal cruise Mar. 12th and will enjoy everything that is a part of it.  I choose happy over disappointment and positive over negative.  Cheers

Did you personally check the Princess website?  Your answer is there.

Yes, I have personally checked it every day but I posted the question since the SVP of sales announced on his webinar, that it would be changed to 3 days on March 1.  Not being "all knowing", LOL  I thought I would put the question out there since I had not seen the 3 day limit pop up anywhere else.
