Good to hear. I had read that the ice-cream was included with the drink package. Glad to know that it is complementary. My DH and daughters will love that. They are ice cream aficionados.

Love your review so far. We will be sailing on the Mera next June. Had a couple of questions: Is there any complimentary soft serve ice cream available? Did you notice any vegetarian Indian food in the buffet?

We will be on the June 18 sailing out of NY on the Meraviglia. We have sailed out of Manhattan in the past. Does anyone know of any parking options other than at the Brooklyn port? Just trying to compare rates.

Thanks for the info. It seems like the best route will be to go through a tour operator due to all the logistics involved. I will check out these tour operators. We did an full island tour with Consol Tours which we loved abut 5 yrs ago. I contacted them as well for their rates. I did hear back from Spencer but not sure if I want to go with them given their recent negative reviews.

My family of 4 will be stopping in St Lucia in December on Vision of the Seas. We will be in the port from 8-6:00 pm. We already did a full island tour on our first visit. This time we would like to hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail, do a coastal boat ride to see the pitons from the water and stop at Sugar Beach for a while. Does anyone have any info how I can plan this trip? Trying to figure out the logistics of planning the hike with the boat ride and beach stop. Can we do this on our own or should we go through a tour operator?

Do you know what the taxi fare is to Orient Beach from the port for 4 pas and how long it takes? Wondering if it is cheaper for us to take a private taxi or a shared taxi.

Our ship will be in port from 9:00-6:00. We will probably forgo Marigot due to the time constraint. The stop at Maho Beach would probably be an hour or so, enough time to see 4-5 planes come in. Our plan is to take a taxi from the port to Orient Beach and spend the morning there. Then take a taxi around 2:00 to Maho Beach and spend an hour or so there before heading back to Philipsburg/port. Just wondering what time we need to leave Maho to make it back to the port in time. Does anyone have any current information regarding Jolly Beach? We will be in Antigua in December on Vision of the Seas. We are looking for a nice beautiful calm beach with free beach access and restrooms. We visited this beach about 5-6 years ago and I don't remember the drop off being too steep at that time. Has anyone been to Jolly Beach recently? Just wanted to see what the current conditions are at Jolly.
