  1. However, when they call you they will ask if there are any allergies they need to be aware of and they will make substitutions in that case. Also, once onboard, the host (in our case Rafa) tracked us down onboard the day before our experience and confirmed we would be attending and confirmed the allergy. Assume he found us via our Medallions. We were sitting in Good Spirits bar when he approached us.
  2. We did this on the Discovery, 1st week of August. We were allowed to take photos but asked, "PLEASE no video". The wait staff even took pictures of us with our phones.
  3. If you are full suite it is a definite you get the invite and I would think after final payment is made they can start making the calls.
  4. We got the call 6 or 8 weeks before our cruise date. Had our pick if days and times. It was fabulous. Would do it again in a heartbeat- complimentary or not. Are you in Discovery? If so, Rafa should be your host and he is EXCELLENT. Looking forward to our next 2 cruises so we can do this again.
  5. We love the Concierge Lounge. We did not use it as much when we had aft suites, but when we have suites on Riviera deck across the hall from Concierge Liunge we use it very often - coffee and pastry or fruit in early morning, snack at mid-afternoon and drinks and appetizers in evening. Not to mention how nice it is to have "issues" resolved by the Concierge and not having to deal with the lines at Guest Services. Shout out to Bradley, Concierge on Discovery for our last cruise. He was great!
  6. We are on the Discovery to Alaska now - but we are in one of the Riviera deck side suites. It is fine for Alaska as we don't spend as much time on balcony.
  7. Woo Hoo - one less thing to worry about. Thanks for the info.
  8. Are we still required to complete Health Questionaire within 48 hours of boarding? If so, does it automatically appear online 48 hours before cruise day? Last sailed Sept of '22 and had to complete questionnaire then. Just wondering if still required. Thanks in advance for your help.
  9. It is for new bookings only and only for specific cruises.
  10. Our favorite cruise ever because of all the sea days. It was surprising to us though how many people were "going crazy" after about the 4th straight sea day coming back. We LOVED it!!!
  11. So do we think this is for new bookings only? We have 3 cruises on the books. So, curious.
  12. We are staying at Crowne Plaza at Sea-Tac night before cruise. Don't have to check out until noon and we are in no rush to stand in lines at port (been there, done that). If we arrive at port between 12:30 and 1:00 do you think we will have avoided the big crowds?
  13. We like the Majestic but also not fans of the Conservatory or Hollywood club, whatever it is called. Yes. We did notice a very heavy chlorine smell at the indoor pool. So much so it was uncomfortable to stay in there for very long.
  14. Can someone tell me which venue is used for this event (Discovery Princess). Just received our invitation and curious to know where it happens.
  15. Ooh great idea, hadn't thought of that.
  16. We bought 100lb and 25lb hooks and unfortunately the only thing the 25lb worked for were hats or light sweaters.
  17. I believe there is one hook as you enter but we always bring magnetic hooks (100lb weight) to hold hats, bags, etc at the entrance area.
  18. Also following as dh will be traveling with his concentrator for the first time (7/30/23 Discovery to Alaska).
  19. Baja and Dolphin decks have some cover on those balconies. Dolphin decks have the largest balcony and Baja comes in second. (This applies to the corner penthouse suites for the Rotal class ships).
  20. Although I would prefer complete nonsmoking cruises, I am ok with Princess' policy IF they actually enforced it. Last 2 cruises (7 and 10 days) on Discovery almost 1/2 of slot machines were smoking and most people sitting there smoking were not playing the machines (not even pretending to). Also, did not have any non-smoking nights in the casino.
  21. Suites are one of the first groups to board, following disabled and wedding groups or other special groups.
  22. Changes with the ship. Within las 18 months, Majestic - pizzas, calmness, soup, salad; Discovery - pizza and minestrone; Sapphire - pizzas only (I think).
  23. Balcony on Owners Suite is smaller than "some" of the Aft suite balconies. Baja and Dolphin deck balconies are larger (deeper and provide some covered area as opposed to Owners Suite being completely open. Of course inside is a little more spacious in Owners suite vs Aft (Penthouse) suite.
