  1. Then you simply misunderstood her. Or you are mixing up things. You claimed you were assigned to the MDR. And that is not correct. You cannot equal dining time with being assigned to the MDR!!! But you do have the option to dine at the MDR, AQ guests are not limited to Blu. Aqua guests are assigned to BLU. BLU is THE perk of Aqua. Just like suite guests are assigned to Luminae. Read the homepage and you will find exactly that. Yes, in both cases a MDR dining TIME - and that´s what you were told and what we are telling you here - needs to be assigned and is assigned by their system. A mentioned dining time on the confirmation, regardless of booking Aqua or suite is just another weird thing of their IT system. It´s been like that forever - but it´s meaningless. Correct! And try to understand the background. Because you booked Aqua you are assigned to BLU and NOT to the MDR. So you are asked to make arrangements in case you choose to dine at the MDR. If you were assigned to the MDR, why would you be asked to make arrangements? 😉
  2. :-) No, they are not printed on the menu lateley or visible on the app. However, they are and have always been the daily available classics at Blu and other restaurants.
  3. 1. Escargot, just like shrimp cocktail, Ceasar Salad, onion soup, are everyday classics available in Blu. They are not from MDR menu. 2. As I said, it’s now a company policy but some maitres ignore it. On Apex in June the maitre of Blu said they can’t bring us anything from the MDR. On Apex in September the Maitre said no problem. As always the only consistency with Celebrity is inconsistency.
  4. as said, every passenger is given a dining time by their system. Regardless of the fact that AQ guest are assigned to Blu without set times.
  5. FYI: Aqua Sky Suite is not really or not just Aqua... it´s a hybrid between Aqua and Suite/Retreat. A new or better revived class of suite incl. the Aqua benefits of Thermal Spa access. To only have Aqua benefits (which are sufficient IMHO) booking a regular Aqua class stateroom is enough.
  6. You were not "assigned" to the MDR. The mentioning of a dining time (Select/early/late) in the system despite the fact that Aqua guest are assigned to Blu without any set times has been one of the curiosities of their IT sytem for years and years. Tt´s just something to ignore. AQ quests are registered in Blu. And yes, Blu is the main reason for most to book Aqua. It certainly is for us and we always book Aqua - with the exception of E class. The four MDRs on E class are so good that Blu is not a priority for us there. However, AQ passengers can dine at the MDR any time they like. And I can understand that people - especially on E class - might want to try the MDR(s) for a night or so. Ordering items of the MDR menu was also possible in Blu. However, a few monts ago the headquarter decided that it´s no longer possible. That is now the official order from Miami. Some Maitres will still allow it, but it´s no longer an official possibility.
  7. The Beyond burger is fantastic! Couldn’t believe how good it was. As per company order/policy no more ordering from the MDR menus. Some Maitres will still allow it though…
  8. That is no problem at all and you have multiple choices. Booking with Celebrity is one of them.
  9. if that’s the case it’s more simple to go to one of the MDRs now.
  10. Actually the distance from Blu to the MDRs on E class is minimal (there´s connecting stairs). Other than Luminae, whis is on the other end of the ship.
  11. Priority boarding, except for suites, is long gone since they have the time slots. Blu does not take reservations - rarely ever a short wait. Ordering from MDR has been eliminated as per fleetwide policy from the headquarter. Some Maitres will still allow it. Try but don´t be disappointed. Spa is only a secondary reason to book Aqua. Blu is #1
  12. Some 11 night Med cruises are now 7-8 k in a regular veranda stateroom. Ridiculous! We booked cruises for reasonable prices until mid 2024. We’ll see after…
  13. If you are saving anything with the current offers and prices, tbh your previous price was even more ridiculous than the rates now. Celebrity are reaching luxury cruise line price levels. Celebrity are good - really good... but not luxury level good.
  14. If you feel that way don’t cruise Celebrity!
  15. Bluetooth speakers, people watching or showing videos on their phones at full volume or facetiming loudly in restaurants... the new normal 🥲 Lack of common sense and respect is, unfortunately, an international problem.
  16. Try here: https://www.celebritycruises.com/int/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade
  17. No, no suite. But yes, we do not frequent the Martini bar. We rather relax at Al Bacio.
  18. We have sailed on E class 4 times. Three times full… and frankly, I don’t know what you are talking about. All was fine. Best cruises ever.
  19. Food on Apex was superb on all of our three cruises on her. Plus, since all the main dining rooms have different signature dishes, the choice on E class is huge - regardless of a few items maybe taken off the regular rotating Celebrity menu.
  20. I disagree, while it’s not as comfortable as before it is not very difficult and there are multiple options. 1. Private transfer with local companies. 2. Train to Venice Station 3. Take the Celebrity shuttle to Venice Airport and then continue to Venice e.g. by the very inexpensive ATVO Express Bus to Piazzale Roma or the more expensive water taxi option. 4. Celebrity seem to offer a shuttle to Venice Piazzale Roma.
  21. My first reaction after reading your post: If water is already your problem - yeah, you better cancel... FYI: you can get water for free at Oceanview, MDR, Mast Bar machines etc. etc.
  22. You get whichever stateroom of the category is available. It can be but does not have to be the lowest slot. After all, they won´t move other bookings around. However, most of the time there´s a reason why the stateroom is available. Yes, it could be a good location and somebody cancelled or other people moved up. But it can also simply be a less desired location and the stateroom didn´t sell. So bid whatever you feel is worth for a stateroom that will be a quarantee stateroom. You´ll have to live with the location. Once accepted there´s no way back.
  23. Love the staterooms on deck 11 and never had a noise issue. Booked one again on Millennium.
