We were looking at Norwegian Fjords Cruises for Summer 2024. There is a 7-day cruise on Holland America that seems to fit the bill. It's called the 7-Day Norse Legends.
7-Day Norse Legends https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/find-a-cruise/E4N07F/Y437.html
The reason why I was looking at them is that they seem to focus on the Fjords. Celebrity seems to focus on the ports. Unless I am missing something from their descriptions?
We like that one because it visits 2 of the top 10 fjords in Norway. This would be essential to any cruise that we choose!
Is there anything comparable on Celebrity? Thanks in advance. -
How much is a taxi from the cruise port to Arashi Beach?

I have done a lot of research comparing the two itineraries and the fjords visited. Based on the ranking of the fjords, I decided that when we go we will go on the Norse Legends vs the Viking Sagas. Just depends on the fjords that you want to see.

Reflexions is nice. We have been a couple of times. There are chair/umbrella rentals with beverages available. They have a Facebook page. Just search for Reflexions Beach Club.

I would like to know this as well. Is Arashi Beach better than going to Reflexions?

Are you looking for a nice beach with food & drink + restrooms and lounges?
Yes - lounge chairs, umbrellas, clean facilities/restrooms and possibly food and beverages. Any suggestions? First time in Tortola. THANKS!

I would care, (not enough to have it changed) just, I would be proud of
that status. You paid a lot of money to achieve that. I would be proud of that
not in a braggy way, just , look what I love to do and get rewarded for it way!!
You get nothing having your crown and anchor status on the luggage tags. Perhaps suites may have priority, and they are probably held in a different section, but I am positive no one looks at them to rush your luggage to you being D+.

How long do these bugs stick around? Beginning of October?
Twice a year - May and Sept/Oct. They eat the paint off your car if you let them stay on your vehicle.

OK, I'm a little confused. The info in post 18 seemed to be outdated compared to the info in post 17. I know I'm missing something.
So, I just went to the RCI website and looked at the Crown & Anchor benefit list. Internet is not mentioned. Seems it is gone.
Additionally, pre-covid the internet perk was xxx minutes throughout the cruise as opposed to the 24 hour period. I liked the old perk so much better. But I guess anything would be better than nothing.
We watched a recent video from Royal Caribbean Blog, and they mentioned it was a perk for Diamond (and above).

I don't see any Internet on current C&A benefits list (eff 3/2022):
Yeah, me neither. Thats is why I was asking. Thanks!

Where do you pick up the shuttles to Horseshoe Bay?

When you sign into the internet on the ship, you select Internet, then the basic internet for 24 hours. When you enter your name, room # and Bday it will deduct your free amount so you will pay nothing for the 24 hour period. It is pretty easy to do, just follow the prompts.
Thanks!

I keep reading conflicting stuff, so I figured it would ask the others who sail on RRCL:
Do Diamond member still receive 24 hours of free internet? If so, how do you sign up, or is it "pre-loaded"?
THANKS!

I found the requirements. Thank you everyone. Happy Cruising!
REQUIRED TESTING FOR GUESTS SAILING FROM U.S. HOME PORTS
For All Sailings from U.S. Home Ports with No Stops in Bermuda or Canada
If your cruise visits Bermuda or Canada, test protocols for your cruise are in the next section.
Guests 2 to 11 years of age who are not fully vaccinated must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within the 3 days before boarding day, regardless of the duration of their cruise. These guests will no longer be required to take a second test at the terminal.
Fully vaccinated guests must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within the 3 days before boarding day on sailings that are 6 nights or longer only. Testing is not required for fully vaccinated guests on shorter itineraries.
Required testing for all guests, regardless of vaccination status, must be completed using a PCR or antigen test that is supervised by a healthcare professional or a home test kit that is conducted under live video supervision.
Tests must be arranged on your own and are at your own expense.
REQUIRED TESTING FOR GUESTS SAILING FROM U.S. HOMEPORTS WITH STOPS IN BERMUDA OR CANADA
All Guests: Required Pre-Cruise Testing
Before arriving on boarding day, you'll need to take a COVID-19 test on your own, at your own expense.
- Vaccinated guests must show a negative test result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. NOTE: Kids age 11 and younger who have been vaccinated may follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests.
- Unvaccinated kids age 2 to 11 must show a negative test result for a PCR test (not antigen) taken no more than 3 days before boarding day.
- Unvaccinated kids' pre-cruise test cannot be taken on boarding day, because that may affect the sample taken during the kids' test at the terminal.
Guests under 2 years of age do not need to complete a pre-cruise test.
For guests on a cruise that visits Bermuda, additional travel and testing requirements may apply to your sailing. Learn more.
Guests Under the Age of 2
Guests under the age of 2 have no testing requirements.
Longer Sailings
Sailings longer than 10 nights may have additional onboard testing requirements

I have this feeling that there will be many people showing up for Royal Caribbean cruises without a pre-cruise test because of this poorly worded announcement. Could make check-in a mess.
Exactly!

It's not vague -- you're getting confused between BOARDING DAY testing and PRE-CRUISE TESTING.
The good news is we've removed boarding day testing, and any debark testing for sailings that end in the U.S.
Boarding-day testing was done at the terminal, by Royal, for all unvaccinated people. It added an hour or two to the checking-in process.
Same with debark testing -- unvaccinated cruisers had to get tested on board the day before debarkation.
That's the testing that has been eliminated -- pre-cruise testing remains for cruises of six nights or more.THANK YOU. After two pages of scrolling, I found the answer. Thank you !!

Updated Protocols for Bermuda 2022 Sailings
While requirements for sailing have changed for some destinations, most of Bermuda’s local regulations and requirements are still in place.
This means your vaccination and pre-cruise testing requirements remain unchanged.
The good news is we've removed boarding day testing, and any debark testing for sailings that end in the U.S.
Due to the fluidity of this situation, our protocols are subject to change, and we are committed to keeping you informed if they do.Check out our Healthy Sail Center for our full sailing protocols
VIEW HEALTHY SAIL CENTER Ok, I understand the testing requirements for entry into Bermuda, but what does this vague email actually say? I have read it three times. The "Healthy Sail Center" still indicates that passengers on cruises 6 nights or more still need to be tested....?

There are chairs and umbrellas to rent. The beach is one of the most beautiful in the world. It tends to be crowded close by the facilities and concession. The other end to the left facing the ocean) is less crowded. The beach attendents who will set up your chair and umbrella are willing to carry them the distance if you want to be at the less crowded end.
THANKS!

If we take the mini bus, are there chairs and umbrellas to rent? How is the beach?

We bought the three night dining package on the Mariner a few years ago. Right after boarding I went to Chops and made all my reservations for the sailing. I got the nights and times I wanted within 30 minutes. I have since been on the Mariner a few times and all the specialty restaurants were very good, especially Chops.
The best was easily Chef's Table, I can't recommend this experience enough, well worth the eighty something dollars spent per person.
Did you buy the 3 pack ahead of time, or on the ship? THANKS
-
We would like to try the 3 pack specialty dining. Whats the best way to book these. I dont want to do it ahead of time since its not giving me any options. Should we talk to the guy at the entryway, or go to one of the restaurants. If we cant get around the times we want, we are willing to walk away, and then I think something "magically" will open up?
Thoughts? Have been on Mariner or Royal in awhile.
Thanks

We are visiting Cococay for the first time since the major renovations and was wondering what is the availability of clamshells or umbrellas? Looking to chill near Oasis Lagoon.
THANKS!

It is such a weird time to be in port.
We have been to the Baths. Loved that!
Question: Is there a beach club/place/location that's open early that would have chairs, umbrellas, drinks, etc? Doesnt have to have lunch since we have to return to the ship so early.
Thank you friends!
