  1. Whoever is lucky enough to be on the NA after dry dock, please come back and give us a report on how she looks and your impression of the changes. Safe travels!

Yeah, we were just on the NA in March, so it will be interesting to see if there are any major changes. If there are, I hope they are for the better. IMO, HAL got the Konigsdam all wrong....P.S. Remind me if I forget! LOL

  2. You have to be connected to the ship's network and then open a browser like Safari or Chrome and type "login.com". That's is how you get to the Navigator page and I think that is what people are mistaking for an app. On the last cruise, I saw everyone before the show on the first night using it. I used it all the time after that.

  3. 1. Internet access is used for more than work. Most realize that, but one individual does not.

    2. Nothing is "FREE". It is included in your fare, with no additional cost.

    3. I think it is amazing it is even available at all. I think my cruise experience would be much different if unlimited wi-fi was included in the fare.

  4. We just got off the Knongsdam and we were in a Vista Suite, and I can safely say, that I HATED that bathroom and the toilet positioning was awful. Both my spouse and I could not fit without squeezing in at a weird angle due to the positioning of the shower glass. Also, the shower was very small. It could quite possibly be the worst bathroom we have had on any cruise.

  5. Sail, I'm not great at math but hear goes.

If a train leaves Cleveland heading for Chicago at 4 pm traveling 55 mph and at the same time a train leaves Chicago... Wrong example. Let's try again.

The Eurodam leaves Grand Cayman at 4 pm. The next port is Cozumel, 326 nm's away. In order to arrive in Cozemul by 11 am the next day the ship must maintain a speed of 18-19 knots; which is not a slow speed, to reach the port. I assure you the islands have not moved but maybe will move over the next million years.

I hope this helps cause I have no idea what I did :D

YES, thank you. I figured that part out from another post on this thread. Also, I was quickly reminded why I DON'T start any threads and participate in very few.

  6. We have sailed out of Cozumel late at night in Christmas season and enjoyed seeing all the holiday lights and decorations as we sailed out of the port. Were they lit when you sailed out? I I am not implying that is the reason you sailed la te. DId YOU ask on he ship? Better chance to get an answer from those who kno w than from some who may speculate.

I was just curious if more seasoned travelers know the answer. That's all, but thank you!

I will ask the concierge on the ship

  8. We just got off. We prefer Nieuw Amsterdam, but that is us. Koningsdam is a beautiful ship, with $4.1 million of artwork. For us, it was all about the functionality, starting with the cabin and even the venues did not make sense. She is beautiful but there were more cons than pluses. We might go again, now that we know what to expect. This is our opinion, of course.
