We are sailing Equinox August 10th.  I would be thrilled if we get the chance to sail with her.  It sounds like we may either just make it, or just miss her.

She will be done with equinox on March 30th.

Wrong.   As long as you are affluent you can cruise any line.

And maybe you have young LGBT friends.

When I think of the word affluent, I think of Celebrity, Oceania, Azamara etc.

ncl, carnival and rccl do not come to mind.

VV going 18+, all inclusive puts them in that category.

  3. Yea, I think they are done with PC. Tortola is listed after dry dock but looks like they are switching to semana DR on all the eastern sailings before dry dock.

They will not admit this to anyone though and are still selling excursions to PC. The sea conditions and weather were perfect at PC and they still went to semana.

They should at at least let their cruisers know and not “spring” this on them the night before as they have been.

When we booked our August cruise last year, it was going to Punta Cana.

The itinerary now has Tortola instead.

There was a thread about it a while ago.

Mine is in 2 weeks, (March 2nd) still says PR on all sites.

doubt we will go to Tortola but Samana is a likely alternative until they have locked in dock space and itineraries start changing.

The good has been good so far we have eaten in Murano, Sushi on 5 the main dining room and buffet.

id say age range mid 20’s to old. Not over run with kids. Went to pick up grand daughter and in her group 6/9 there were only about 10 kids same for 10-12 yo. I have seenn2 babies on board about 6-9 months old.

i asked if they were stopping in PC anymore but the the I don’t know answer which to me means I don’t want to tell you.

I don’t have anything in black and white saying they won’t stop in the future, sorry.

Thank you so much! Very helpful. I will look at Samana as a back up plan!

I had a terrible time trying to get on the Internet this morning after one hour I gave up. Today is February 19 Tuesday and were in Saint Thomas. There of been a couple of Squalls this morning but it’s supposed to clear up later in the day. My peeps have left and gone to Megans Bay.

We were supposed to arrive in Puerto Rico yesterday at 3:30 which we did after about 20 minutes they came on and said there is an issue and we haven’t cleared the local authorities yet please be patient another half an hour goes by they say all the ropes are not tied up. Another 10 minutes go by they finally clear the ship. I was not getting off so it didn’t matter to me if they were late however there were about 1000 people at the passport bar all trying to get a drink in this hour delay it was chaos down there felt so sorry for the bartenders.

My family bought a couple of souvenirs came back to the ship the kids ate at the buffet then went to the kids club as usual we ended up eating at sushi on five we were the only people in there and they gave us a good deal. Last night was the full moon party but after dinner we are also tired we just went to bed.

We had notification in our room last night that we’re not stopping in Punta Cana Dominican republic. Something with dangerous weather we are stopping in the Samana. My gut tells me they knew this all along but didn’t let us know till last night I know that the ship in the future is not going to be stopping in Punta Cana at all so I think they’re not stopping anymore they’re just not telling the passengers until the night before I don’t know that for a fact it’s just what I think.

So far we have had a great cruise no rowdy people no star codes.  I know the ship is due for refurbishment in May and a couple places are looking a little tired but it certainly has not diminished the fun we’ve had on this trip so far.

Thank you so much for this review. I will be on in 2 weeks, so pretty much the same itinerary.

    A few questions for you.

    1. How is the food so far?

    2. What is the age range of guests? And how about the amount of kids onboard?

    3. Is it a fact that they are no longer doing P.C.?

Oh that looks so yummy! We loved Murano and the table side cooking!  I am reliving, thru you, our cruise exactly 2 weeks ago! Thanks for posting.

On your recent cruise, how was debarkation ? Did they have the facial recognition scanners in place?

Yes, Jim is correct. In the past you had to pay the full price if the drink was above the Classic ceiling price; but they changed the policy back in 2016 when they went to a single ceiling price of $9 per drink for beer, liquor and wine.

Yes! All the beers I like are under that.

  9. I have found lists online and on the cruise planner of what beers are available with the Classic Beverage Package.

Is there a list or price point that determines which beers are and are not available.

For example "bud light" is one of the cheapest beers on board, but it is not listed on celebrities cruise planner.

Can someone define the rules for me?

also, if a beer is not included do I pay full price for one or just the difference like RCCL

  10. I personally like to smoke on my balcony, but I make sure it’s late and no ones around. I would never smoke if my neighbors were outside.

If its 1am and I have a drink and my cigarette and the coast is clear I’ll do it, otherwise I’ll run up topside.

As for fines, ive never been caught and don’t think I will but if I am it still won’t be my last time.

How about you lay off personal insults, and do some research on outdoor air pollution monitors/sensors. You don't even need to install one on every balcony, since you can triangulate results from multiple monitors. For something as simple as smoke, you can rely on cheaper sensors, so it's not cost prohibitive. The technology is available, however, it's probably more cost effective for cruise lines to deal with a few complaints and lose a few customers.

    I’m sure it’s fascinating but I’ll pass.

  12.  I read somewhere that are yellow  fever vaccine is required if your from a country that has higher risk of yellow fever such as Brazil.

My Wife and her sister are from Brazil and are going with me on an upcoming cruise to Nassau. Will they be able to both board the ship as well as get off in Nassau or will they need to get the Yellow Fever vaccine first?

  13. I Logged on almost every day, once in the morning and once at night to check the rooms left on my 11/24/2018 Bliss sailing with one month to go. over the course of time, the price only changed one slightly. I found that these sales worked immensly in NCL'S favor. The bulk of room sales  happened right before the promo expired.

Why would you say that? I don’t hope they fail !  If it doesn’t work like they think they will tweak it and make improvements for the next ship.

I wish them nothing but smooth sailings.

They would have to tweak it a lot!  I can’t see this line making it in America. Possibly in Europe but not here. Way too ultra modern and uncomfortable. Looks like a trendy $600 night sobe hotel room. It’s downright depressing.

And its gonna be way more than Carnival, NCL, princess and royal.

Its Celebrity prices geared toward the 18-45 demographic. It simply won’t work. You have to be 2 out of 3 on the list below and that’s it.

    30-45

    wealthy

    LGBT

    not for families

    not for 18 under

    not for 45+

    not for money conscious

    not for college kids
