When I originally book this cruise New England/Canada I was told test would be giving upon return to USA. I’ll have to look through paper work I believe it stated that if you were booked by a certain date you were grandfathered for test to be completed by Celebrity.
Yes, I found my paperwork and it does say if you booked your cruise prior to Nov.16, 2021, testing will be complimentary for guests onboard. You must have proof of return travel scheduled within 24 hours of disembarkation. We do not fly out until 10:55 AM the following day, so I'm not sure we will qualify, unless they would let us hang out in Michael's Club until 10:55. We were planning on bring some proctored Covid tests to do at our hotel that evening, but I would rather the ship do it.......

Hate to hear that there were NO cookies!! We picked up four cookies daily at Cafe Al Bacio and took back to the cabin on our last cruise in January. We will be on the Apex in two weeks so I will be looking for those cookies!!!
Love the photos!

We sailed on the Reflection in January and had Gede as our cabin steward also! He was wonderful! We enjoyed the Reflection very much. It was our first time on that ship.

They're completely different venues. Eden Cafe serves breakfast/lunch. Eden is a specialty restaurant and is generally open only for dinner.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'll try and get a reservation for dinner. I've heard great things about this restaurant. But I heard the lunch in the cafe is good too. Might do both. 😉

I understand that Eden is also open for lunch and breakfast. Were you able to check that out? Do you need reservations for that? We will be on the Apex for the first time next month and want to try Eden, but would settle for a good lunch there.

If you have never been to Barcelona or Rome, you really need to spend at least a few nights at each. I wish we had stayed an additional night in Rome, but we did get to see ALL the major sites while there. We sailed the Connie out of Rome for 10 days to Barcelona. I agree with you, I do like your itinerary for the Reflection, but not the one night at each end. (Unless you have plans to do a separate cruise later and spend more time in Rome and Barcelona.). That's a tough one....

I am waiting to hear what the protocols for testing in Europe are, as we will be in Amsterdam for three days prior to our Baltic Sea cruise in May.

I called today and was only on hold for about 10 minutes!!!! I do not recall which phone number I used, sorry. Cruisewatch email notified me that my next cruise price had gone down, but when I called Celebrity, they said it actually had gone up today......hmmmmm
Their website said I should have saved a couple of hundred but I wasn't in the mood to bicker....

Gowns, high heels, nice jewelry, dressy dresses.......I dress for comfort also........

When we were there Sept. 2018, I recall a new and beautiful terminal, large and spacious. We were there fairly early and escorted to a nice lounge upstairs with food and drinks and seating. There were very few people there, but I did say we were there EARLY......our driver drove VERY fast from our hotel in Rome! I wish I had taken some pictures.......but I know it was not a tent-like structure.

We generally cruise once or twice a year. I love reading reviews and looking at photos, even if they are not ships I have been on or scheduled to sail on. But more importantly, I receive a lot a good info about cruising and ideas for future cruises. I may not look at CC daily until I get closer to a booked cruise.

Love all the photos. Thanks for the review! Hoping to be on the Apex in May.....

We showed ours on our phone in January and had no problem.....

On the Reflection in January in our SS, we had a plate of snacks every late afternoon. We ate only about half of it as we were always full from lunch and knew we would have a nice dinner. The snacks ranged from shrimp to fruit to cookies to chips to cheese and crackers to veg sticks and hummus.

I never could print mine for my January cruise, so I just showed them on my phone.

The only thing we ate in the late evening hours in OV was ice cream! Usually that was after the show and before we went to our cabin for bed.

I enjoy escargot, and had it twice on our last cruise in January. However my husband will not even try it! He knows the sauce is basically butter and garlic. He mentioned to the maitre'd in the Luminae that the sauce would make a good dip. That's all he said. The next night, the maitre'd had a small bowl of the escargot sauce ready for him with some crusty bread! He didn't ask for it, but it was a nice gesture. And he enjoyed it! Another evening, nothing on the menu was to my liking and asked if I could get a filet. The waiter said they usually just serve NY strips but would ask the chef. The chef said he would cook me a filet! On more than half of the evenings, our waiter brought us an extra entree that we didn't order. He said he wanted us to try it. We generally would only eat a bite or two of the extra entrees, as we were always so full. So much food! Service was great!

We spent FOUR LONG DAYS in Bimini. Hubby won trip in a golf tournament a few years ago. We will never go back. There's a decent Hilton there with a casino (where we stayed). The only restaurants that were there were only open Thursday through Saturday. !!!! We had to eat at the bar in the casino on the Wednesday night we were there. One night we ate at the beach bar, and the flies were horrible. I had to cover my food with my napkin as I ate. The water is beautiful there however and I'm sure the snorkeling may be good.
It was an experience, the say the least.......I wrote a long trip report on trip advisor on Bimini; I'm sure you can find it.

When I clicked on the site for the Amsterdam airport for testing, it says they are no longer Covid testing there.......???
The EU has dropped mask mandates for flights to EU countries and in airports as of May 16th.

Wow.....good to know......even though I still wear one in airports and flights, I was dreading wearing one on our long flight to Amsterdam later this month. At least I can remove it for a little while to sleep if I need to. Thanks, Terry!
