  1. would they chance taking a brand new ship out of rotation even if only for a few months? Plus how long is it usually between when a ship is announced and maiden voyage?
  2. for clarity, you said sometimes they don't notify you at all. I assume that's only if you are not getting a spot? No chance you never hear from them and then they keep your money because you didn't show up? Also, your experience is two days notice, not more?
  3. unless something has changed, pretty sure name that tune is the same songs every show. I've observed blatant cheating on that.
  4. you are not limited to one item per element. Even if you are letting them choose, ask for anything you see that you want to try
  5. so how is that effecting the full cruise or qtr cruise cruisers?
  6. can you elaborate on what you are finding annoying about the mini segments?
  7. as inconvenient and uncomfortable that must have been for you, I don't really see it as a reason Royal would choose never to plan another world cruise. Lack of revenue coming from the casino and specialty dining, I could.
  8. why exactly do you think people are crashing the solo events?
  9. not sure I understand what you are asking. Right now all of the offerings are Alaska or Canada/New England. But I've seen plenty of Caribbean cruises on the list
  10. here you go Missing American teen who left cruise ship at German port has been found safe (msn.com)
  11. well that's no longer a wonderful deal. Or is this related to the new thing about all taxes and fees need to be included in the price quote?
  12. Quantum started with a show (either Mama Mia or Chicago, I forget which) and dropped it when the ship was relocated to Asia
  13. I've never met anyone who would say that peanut butter and jelly on white was not a sandwich. Or egg salad on a croissant or even just tomato and mayo.
  14. They are now offering a verandah option. Copied from HAL Guests may select to be added to the Inside/Ocean View Standby List for $49 per person per day, or the Verandah Standby List for $79 per person per day. If a guest is on the Verandah Standby List and no Verandahs are available, they will be offered an Inside or Ocean View stateroom, if available, for the reduced cost of $49 per person per day. The guest may choose to not take this alternate option for a full refund. If offered a stateroom in their original Standby List category, the fare becomes non-refundable. I do wonder how you are supposed to handle a cruise that requires visas such as the 42 night cruise currently on the list.
  15. in general it's the second "formal" night on any US based RC cruise. Often day 6
  16. points go to people, not cabins. your wife would get her points even if you were sharing a cabin and the kids stayed home
  17. Remember way back towards the beginning of this cruise when all those tictokers not even on the ship were trying to stir up all sorts of trouble? There was one I remember specifically who had some story about how there was some exclusive meeting and only the full cruise cruisers were going to have an opportunity to the northern lights. Who knew she would basically be right. Only based on the exceptionally rare geomagnetic storm and the fact that for the most part there are only full cruise passengers for this segment.
  18. can't even get that cruise to come up on the US site. But seriously, you can't get a glass of water without paying extra?

  20. The most interesting ice cream I've had was Caramelized Turkey & Cranberry Sauce at Salt & Straw in 2022
  21. I try to remember to have some on me when I fly
  22. Wonderland on the Quantum class is the original Wonderland. If you go for the windows and the staircase, them by all means, skip it.

She's not a drug sniffing dog and she's not a service animal either. So Rover isn't allowed in the restaurants."
