  1. just a small point on this.

A company cannot change it's contract with you after you have signed the contract. Any new/change can only be applied to new contracts.

Thus the new change can only be applied to passengers booked after the small print was changed. I would challenge a company who tried to retrospectivly apply that change to previous bookings- go higher up the food chain and say that your passing the issue to your lawyer as the situations is causing you so much stress (stress & lawyer =compensation claims- they know that and if it is allowed by law they uill probably back down).

  2. What company did you use to Roatan to go snorkling with?

we just went with carnival - this was our first ever cruise so we felt more at ease just doing the ships own tours also the stop there is only until 2.30pm so was a short tight for time day. We went to Maya Kay - The place itself was OK - had a few animals for kids to look at and a very fake Mayan exhibit. But the snorkeling was amazing - there is a steep drop off which had the best display of corals that we have ever seen- Avoid snorkeling in coz - that had the worst display we have ever seen- The coral there is dead, if we go back there we will just go to one of the beaches or go kayaking.

  3. We have snorkeled many places in carib including - cayman - may dif reefs (family live there so visited a fair few times), barbados, coz & riviera maya. We did not snorkel in belize but did in Roatan. I would say our Roatan trip was the best snorkeling we have ever done. I would recommend this place for your snorkeling trip. In belize we chose the river tour to the mayan ruins - was a fab day also.

  4. Trying to see if this will have value for us ahead of booking (as if going to do cheers we will be better off booking 2 cabins).

I have 2 cocktails (3 at a push on a sea day) per day and we also usually share a bottle of wine between us with diner - My husband may manage 4 drinks max (beer or wiskey) as well as his half share of a bottle of wine in a day. On our last cruise we bought the middle wine package and found that the wine on it was fine for us. - However, we didn't fancy many wines from the basic pack. - I think our bar bill was $300 for the 7 nights for all of us 2 adults and included bottemless bubbles for our youngest dd and several non alco cocktails drinks for our eldest dd and the middle wine pack. However, if free we would have drunk a little more- (we would probably have managed 1 extra alco cocktail and one non alco cocktail/coffee each per day)

Our eldest will be 21 next cruise but is diabetic so can't drink more than 3 alco drinks in a day - So if we do cheers will will get a second room for the girls- this would then be cheeper than us all in one room and the 3 of us on the cheers.

What sort of wine is available through cheers?

Do you think cheers would be worth it for us

  5. The ship will wait as long as possible for passengers on ship-sponsored excursions. But the tide waits for no man, and eventually they must depart. At that point the cruise line bears the cost of getting those folks to the next port or home. But don't fool yourself that they won't ever leave you behind, because they might.

I got it in writing that they would not leave without us before we went on the belize full day trip - carnival sponsered trip (legend cruise). My dd needs essential meds (that have to be kept cool) that we had to leave on the ship.- Thus I got them to guarantee they would not leave without us.
