  1. Can I ask what company you used for this? I tried googling Canopy Jungle but nothing came up.
  2. Do you mind if I ask….how did you get $500 onboard credit? I never get any onboard credit!
  3. Oh boy are you right again. We had seen it on the Bliss last year but I didn’t remember much about it so decided to give it another chance. The performers are definitely talented, but oof. It’s very drawn out and repetitive.
  4. No, unfortunately there isn’t. The newer ships have those but this one does not. You’ll have to use the outlet on the desk, or what we did was bring a couple of those small portable chargers and kept them on the nightstands.
  5. Oh and one more thing I wanted to add. I was blown away by Burn the Floor! I’m not a huge fan of singing/dancing shows, I prefer the ones that are story based. But this show was outstanding. The performers are so talented and athletic, and the band was amazing too!
  6. Oh my gosh I forgot all about that. You are so right! It’s always been kind of mediocre but it did seem especially bad this time. I still choked down a couple of cups with breakfast but did not enjoy it much 😆 Also I wrote my original post about midway through the cruise so I should add that I did feel the crowd on the last sea day around the pools. It didn’t really affect us because we have a pool at home so we tend to skip the pool deck on cruise ships. But it was NUTS out there. There did seem to be some waiting for drinks at those bars.
  7. They do book reservations for the comedy shows but by the time we remembered to do it there were none available. However we got into both shows so far by waiting in the standby line for about 15 minutes ahead of time. We decided to avoid the rush for embarkation so we didn't show up to the port until 1:30 and at that point we breezed right through. I'd say 15-20 minutes from curb to ship.
  8. I just wanted to check in for a minute to put some people's fears to rest. We're on the Breakaway now and NONE of the recent complaints I've read about on here have been an issue for us. No bar lines 15 people deep, no rude staff members, in fact even the staffing shortage hasn't been noticeable. Maybe we're just easy going, maybe the complainers are the type who look for things to complain about, maybe a mix of both...but we're having a blast and it's one of our favorite cruises we've ever done. (Full disclosure: that could partly be due to the fact that we left the kids at home for this one 😆) But I was a little worried after reading some of the things on here so I just wanted to offer some words of encouragement to anyone who felt the same.
  9. Oh wow. In that case I won't complain about the port times and I will just be happy that we were able to get in!
  10. I’m sorry to hear about your lost luggage. I do believe that part. But a bar with 15 people in line?
  11. I know people tend to exaggerate about bad experiences so I have to say that I'm a little skeptical that the bar lines were actually 10-15 people deep. 🤔
  12. We have Maya Chan booked for next week and I've been worried about this happening too. I wish our port arrival was earlier.
  13. You look a little bit like Tom Segura. And your sense of humor is like Bert Kriescher You look a bit like Tom Segura. And your sense of humor reminds me of Bert Kreischer. Perfect combo!
  14. That looks amazing. I’m telling you, Bobby Flay ain’t got nuthin’ on Guy!
  15. Just my opinion but after having Bobby’s Burgers in Las Vegas…I say Guy’s wins hands down!
  16. Thanks so much for doing this! We’re boarding the Breakaway next week and are looking forward to seeing some up to date information. And although I already have a mile long list of New Orleans restaurants we want to try while we’re there, now I’m going to have to add GW Fins too. That looked amazing!
  17. What’s up Saint G? If you could only do one would you pick Acme or Drago’s for oysters? And did you say you’ve stayed at the Omni? Would you recommend it?
  18. Wow Jim you’ve managed to sh*t all over the excitement we had for our upcoming cruise in March! 😆 Just kidding of course, I appreciate the honest review. But it is a little deflating. We’ve been on full ships several times but never with this situation with the staff shortage. It will definitely have us managing our expectations.
  19. Last year on the Bliss we also had two free room service orders included. I’m not sure if they are still doing that or not.
  20. This is exactly what we decided to do, we’re gonna enjoy New Orleans a little longer and show up around 2:00. We already have our dining reservations so the only thing I’m worried about missing out on are the show reservations. But after hearing all these horror stories we’ve decided we’re willing to show up early for the shows and hope hope to get in on the standby line. Has anyone had luck doing it that way?
