  1. Does anyone know if you can select embarkment times on web version?
  2. Sorry for delay in replying. From your balcony photos and placement of furniture, Dolphin balcony size looks identical to Caribe.
  3. That's interesting to hear of no in-cabin ice buckets. As frequent Princess cruisers from Australian ports we've never had a cruise without ice buckets replenished daily in cabin. Just off the Coral Princess last week and again enjoyed the convenience of ice buckets.
  4. It will be interesting to see once we're on other Princess ships from Australia that if they have a Vines wine bar, will the selection of wines per glass be more extensive. One can only hope.
  5. They have the two page 'rules' of the beverage package at the service desk, and on second page clearly states only the difference will be payable on drinks over the $16 cap if buying more expensive drinks.
  6. Thanks for photos of balcony. I think I do prefer our Dolphin fully covered. May have slight advantages in poor weather and a little more private from above being fully covered. Either way, really enjoyed being spoilt re the suite and it's benefits. Thanks also for confirming re the thermal suite. Good to know.
  7. Thanks OzKiwiJJ. We have the Plus Package again and will try some of the Premier Wines from the dining room list and pay the 'difference' using our OBC. Hopefully by next year, the list will have expanded considerably if enough wine lovers give them feedback and supplies are restored.
  8. A quick question for CBtours or anyone else in a Suite on Coral Princess. We have just returned from 19-23 Coral cruise and loved it. We had a suite this time which is a rarity for us. They were available on Dolphin and Caribe decks. We chose Dolphin as we were told that the balconies were 'fully covered' on Dolphin (which they were) but only partially covered on Caribe. Could anyone on Caribe confirm this please for future reference. We spend quite a bit of time on our balcony, especially in a suite, and prefer fully covered balconies. Also, as a suite perk, Princess, on their Suite Benefits flyer, list complimentary use of the Thermal Suites (the heated lounges and steam rooms etc) on certain ships and it includes Coral Princess on the list. However when I went to have a tour of the Spa facilities, I asked if the Thermal Suite was complimentary for full suite passengers and the answer was 'no'. I meant to check at the Services Desk why this was so, but did not get there. Has anyone else used the thermal facilities as part of a suite benefit? Thank you.
  9. We have recently returned from the 19-23 June Coral Princess cruise. Loved the cruise with the exception of the disappointment at the wine list. Had previously studied the US wine lists and were impressed at the large range of wines per glass so were expecting similar. People have said that the limited wines included on the 'Plus' in Australia were similar to $8 bottle quality at your local bottleshop. Having tried them on board, I think that comment is quite generous - drank more like a $5-$6 bottle wines. Very poor. Even though we are not usually Merlot drinkers, the Masterpeace Merlot we found to be the best of the poor selection under $16. We tried to order an $18 above the Plus cap (Tasmanian Pinot Noir) knowing that we would only be charged the difference, ie. $2. Unfortunately we were charged the full $18. A trip to the Service Desk confirmed it should have been $2 charge and they corrected it quickly. Please check your account often as we had to have drinks removed daily (once 9 on one day that we hadn't even ordered) that should have been covered under our Plus packages. They corrected at Service Desk quickly but you shouldn't have to call there daily. Never had a problem with anything ordered through the App. I note though on the App, the more expensive Premier Package per glass wines were not listed for ordering. You would have to order in person at bar or dining room. I feel that those drinkers who enjoy spirits or cocktails would get good value from the Plus fare - however, I will consider taking wine if convenient and paying corkage. I will attempt to download the dining room wine list that covers all wine - as found on the App under menus in the explore dining section. This didn't appear to be the same as the paper version in the dining room - would be good to know if the Austrian and French under $16 glass were actually available. As a side note, in the dining room on the desert menu, there was one port (Portugal) and one imported late harvest desert wine available under the $16 cap. The port was not that good, but appreciated it being offered just the same. However, we really appreciate you OzKiwiJJ making the effort to seek out and have a constructive discussion with the relevant staff member. Thank you.
  10. Thanks everyone for replies - we have now ordered our medallions to collect at boarding, and both of us are showing in the GREEN Lane - Yeah!
  11. That's interesting. I'll read her posts too. We're on from 19th June (so excited!). Actually I hadn't tried to select Medallions as I thought that was only an option used in USA to pre-order Medallion Accessories and receive them by post. Now that you've mentioned that, I'll look at that section in the App. Thanks for the tip.
  12. Thanks - appreciate that advice. Will make it easier. I had read in a thread somewhere that if you ordered two on one medallion, only the first would be included under Plus package and you'd be charged on your account for the second. So, good to know firsthand that it worked fine for you. Thanks.
  13. Thanks so much for answering my query. I will also do more reading in those other spots. We were originally 'Green Lane' but now showing 'Blue Lane' - I thought it must be our health documentation, but if you have same message and are showing 'Green Lane' then I wonder if I'm missing doing another step on the App. I have already selected a boarding time, dining times, and anything else I can see that needs completing. Mystery!
  14. Have enjoyed reading all the advice from other cruisers as we prepare for our first cruise back in a fortnight (Coral). I am seeking input from recent cruisers re using the Plus Package (first ever drinks package for us). I have read conflicting advice re whether one person can order two drinks at once (not worried about reaching the drinks cap but we don't want to be charged for the second drink). So, say, if my partner went up and ordered two glasses of wine, or two specialty coffees (one for each of us), is that permitted under the Plus Package? Or do we each have to go up with our own medallions and order separately? Similarly on the App with ordering drinks or specialty coffees - do we each have to sign into our App and order separately? If so, when we both use our device to order a glass of wine to be delivered to us, do they somehow 'link' the two orders and know to deliver them together? Your advice is really appreciated. Thank you!
  15. Excited to read P&O experiences now that cruising back in Australia. Our first cruise is in a fortnight - Coral Princess. Would love some advice from other Australian cruisers preparing to set sail soon on Princess. I have just tried to upload our Vaccination Certificates - I used the web based page for this. It didn't seem to accept a PDF so took a JPEG image and uploaded. Appeared successfully uploaded but message came up "Document Pending Approval" - it still says that a day later. Can anyone tell me if this is 'normal' and will change shortly to accept. Note - when I look on the Mobile App, under Travel Checklist, Health Status is shown with a Green Tick but when I click on it, it shows an orange exclamation mark against Health Documentation and when I click on that it gives the 'pending approval' message in the vaccination section. Obviously I can't do the RAT test section until the day before we sail. Assume then my Blue Lane may change to Green Lane at that point. I would appreciate any advice - thanks.
