  1. Hello All,

Such a great place and such wonderful people. After a ton of research, I just want to make sure we don't miss anything important. Please share your top things not to be missed on a Carnival Dream cruise.

    Thanks in advance,

For good eats... PLease go to ARTS Steak house. Prolly the best one on the fleet but go last night or you will not be impressed by MDR anymore. and the pasta bella . Tandoori Is great too! get the rice. OMG...For entertainment, all is good, same as with all ships. Hang out on deck as much as possible, Never know when something funny and picture worthy will happen!

  2. Interested to know this as well. We are on the same sailing. I sailed on Super Bowl Sunday several years ago, I don't remember specifics but we didn't have a problem finding somewhere to watch the game.

Grab a lounger early for the game if u wanna watch outside. Sports bars will be packed.

  3. Dunno how it tastes.. but as per another thread yes it is available on the Miracle..

I believe the Liberty is one of the ships its available on. From John's blog...

"RedFrog Pub continues to be popular as is the ThirstyFrog Red signature beer which as I posted on Facebook yesterday can now be found on the following ships:

    Carnival Miracle

    Carnival Freedom

    Carnival Destiny

    Carnival Liberty

    Carnival Valor

    Carnival Glory

    Carnival Imagination

    Carnival Pride

    Carnival Dream

    Carnival Legend

    Carnival Victory

    Carnival Elation

    Carnival Conquest

    Carnival Triumph

    Carnival Splendor will be next.

If you like Strong beer then yo will like it.

  4. I have found the website:

    http://www.carnivalcomfortcollection.com

Has anyone bought any of the pillow from this website? If so could you give me a review and let me know if the pillows are really the same as they are in the ship? Doesn't give you neck problems after sleeping with the ones you bought from this website? Just want to make sure this website has good quality and are the same ones that are from the ship.

    Thanks!!

I Did and I dont now what happened but mine WERE NOT the same.... Im one of the unlucky ones I guess... Sad

  5. Ok, CC family, I need your input. What are your thoughts on a Non-stop flight out of Indy on the day OF our cruise arriving in Ft. Lauderdale at 12:30 on January 17th. We will be cruising out of Miami. If anyone knows Indiana weather knows January is unpredictable. If no hiccups I think we would be fine, but. . . . . . What are your thoughts? Thanks to all.

Dear god, Dont do it! lol I Live in Camby, Just outside of Indy by the airport. I would never fly out the day of. WE always cruise in Jan and Feb and it always seems the day of cruise there is a snow storm.... But we are safe because we left a day earlier! Happy cruise!!!

  6. tells us what they will be doing to finally stop these incidents. I am really concerned that one of these incidents will end up a very unhappy ending. Cats have nine lives, how many does Carnival PLC have left?

Fires, eletrical outages leaving ships to wander for days, sunken ships, seriously, its time for some changes and some answers at Carnival.

Before the haters turn on their charm, Im not out to bash Carnival, the cruise industry in general needs some soul searching, change, and lots of oversight in my opinion.

    Thank You

    Things Break down..........:)

  7. I am glad that I have had the opportunity to share with the members of Cruise Critic and the cruising community. I truly appreciate all of the kind words I have read. I see that I have been mentioned on John Healds blog...I have no idea if he has seen what I posted. But I would like him to know that I have posted factual information as it has been presented to me, without any negativity or sensationalizing of the situation.

Thanks for all the updates! So happy that you at least get to stay on the ship and leave when yo were supposed:) to. I think Carnival did good by you all. and now it was a free trip that you get to talk about for years! Happy sailing!

  8. We don't vacation In or on any of those things.

And a beach day at home costs me $7 per person. What's it costing these passengers? $100 for the same sand and water?

Again always haters. My point is that carival could not help that this happened. And look at what they r doing for the passengers. Yes ppl r upset but hey deal with it with a refund and 50 percent off a future cruise. Stay in san juan. Just saying these things happen. It sucks but they r getting their money back

  9. Here are my thoughts. Haters are everywhere.... do we own cars? Boats? Motorcycles? I believe the answer is yes. Do they occasionally break down ? Without warning? Even brand new? YES! OMG some ppl. This could be so much worse. At least they are "stuck" on a beautiful island in the carribean . At least they have all hotel facilities running. At least passengers got 150 on board credit to help cover cost of meals spent in port. At least carnival is tryi g thier best to ensure that this problem is being taken care of. This is a ship ppl with electronic controls and moters a d generators. These things do fail without warning. Look at all the cruises that have been taken over the, years and wiegh that against the, mechanical failures. ... think about that. I love cruising. I love carnival. They r doing the best they, can with this, situation. Gosh let me get, stuck on a tropical, island for a extra day!

All they are missing is a sea day that they can still have or are having being, aboard the liberty.

Cant wait for my trip feb 7th!!! If we break down i do pray its at a port! You never know. Noone knows when and if this will happen on a cruise or your own vehicle.

    Thanks. Rant over.

    Paule great info.

    Happy cruising to us all!!

  10. Any news yet? We wont be on her until Feb 7th and looking forward to sailing her, Hope everyone stays safe and Carnival Sails soon and gives on board credit all passengers. That would be the thing to do . sounds as if Carnival is doing a great job trying to keep passengers informed and making sure ppl are comfortable. Kudos to Carnival!

  11. Ok So usually we book for our January or Feb cruise in Aug/ Sept. best prices... This time we booked back in June. Glad we did because costs have been going up! Ive heard from other CC members that this is whats been going on this time with the cruises they have booked. Whats up? are more ppl going now at this time of year? ( I think its the best time to cruise) Better weather and usually not a full ship. But things are changing? Economy maybe?

  12. I'm doing steakhouse for the first time this October. I found a link with the mdr menus and chose the day that the mdr looked. Least appealing. It is $35 pp for steakhouse. We have done the $20 upgrade in the mdr for a steakhouse selection before so we are interested to see how the steakhouse experience compares to that. We have never done chefs table & probably won't because the end I've seen doesn't look appetizing to me (this is not the case for most people from what I've seen on here).

I actually Do NOT recommend the Steak house on the first night. Free wine.Bla... Seriously. Eating steak house first night will ruin the rest of Cruise dining because the steak house is SOOOOOOO Good! Lol. we did this on last cruise and was disappointed at everything we had in MDR the rest of cruise.. not bad but just not the quality of Steak house... So we r doing it last day...cant wait til Feb 7th!

  13. Wow, now I remember why I don't ask questions on here anymore! Thanks to those who were helpful! I'm not completely dumb. It seemed like when we have booked before, there was an optimal time before the sell date that prices dropped before they started to rise.

Ppl r rude.... IT really does depend. ES is the best option. Ive had price drops and Also Casino offers that carnival gave me. but it was within a few weeks after I booked. 6 months out prices vary little. This year it seems like they are going up instead of going down.

  14. I have never been on Sunshine, Was on Destiny her former name before upgrades and loved her, Smaller ship but not to small. Dream I loved but sometimes lines would be long. Its all a matter of what you want. more ppl Just depends Ive always had a great time on ALL my cruises. If you like larger crowds go on the Dream.

  15. I have just read that near the elevators tends to be noisy? Im willing to take a gamble if that would put me in a preferred position

We always sail on Lido deck and prefer by elevators. Never noisy . Of course DH is always on or balcony and Im usually gone somewhere but when we are in the room Ive never been annoyed

  16. I'm a 5'5 130ish pound woman who loves beer. I could blow through the 15 limit before dinner without being 'drunk'. Buzzed? Yes. Drunk? No. I can assure you I don't have problems. ;) it's easy if you're the type of person who enjoys a few beers with coffee after breakfast, one or two on the balcony, a couple with lunch...they add up.

I can do the 15 in 24 hours, hell ive done that in 6 hours, Alot of ppl have a high tolerance for alcohol, 12 beers and a few shots and my friends need more for the remaining 23 hours....:D

' May all your cruises be fun and alcohol enriched:D"
