  1. We were very pleased with our suite-This was the number 2 reason I chose this ship, number 1 was the itinerary. This was our first Carnival Cruise. I must say that the ship looked like it was in good shape and I had no reason to worry beforehand. The staff were all wonderful and the passengers were among the nicest I have ever met. We are Foodies and have no complaints about the included food and dining options. We always found something to our liking. We did do the specialty Chef's table which was wonderful and totally worth the cost and Farenheit 555 which was ok, but we would not do it again. The service was impeccable--the steaks just mediocre. We are not super picky and never waste food, so we enjoyed the meal, but wouldn't pay extra for it again. We absolutely loved Guy's Burgers and would sail again, just to have one! This was our first time not doing the Drink package. I had a lot of anxiety about that decision, but it was unfounded. Europe allows you to bring booze onboard. Instead of sitting in a bar all day/ we relaxed on our balcony with our own drinks/ Priceless. I did try the bar drinks in the casino--at $15 for a plain mixed drink, I found it just wasn't worth it to me anymore. Besides, it takes a long time to find a server. If you are a heavy drinker, then the Cheers package would be worth it. To me, it just depends on your personal preferences. All in all, Carnival exceeded my expectations-especially in the employees-all were so nice!
  2. Jamman54-You are correct! Nevertheless, we will not participate in this game again except as spectators. It is fun to watch, but the house odds are astronomical! We have been to this game on other ships as well. I got the feeling that Carnival is making up for lost revenue quickly with these games---Good for them because I have quite a bit of Carnival stock!
  3. Well, we finally got our money on the day of disembarkation, after 5 trips to guest services, the casino and finally Frankie, the Cruise Director. He said they were having computer problems.
  4. We played and won $50 but they failed to give us the winnings despite multiple trips to guest services. It makes you feel ripped off. How come they can charge your account immediately when you make a purchase, but deny paying you when you win? In the scheme of things $50 is not going to bother us , but the lack of responsibility from Carnival will.
  5. Does anyone know what the real cost of the chef’s table is? We just finished a fabulous meal on the Pride which we prepaid $98 pp. I received an envelope in my cabin stating there would be an additional 18% gratuity added to tonight’s dinner. Then at the dinner we were presented with another check with request for a gratuity. All of us at the table were confused and no one knew what was correct etiquette. Seems a shame to end such a fabulous meal on such a sour note.
  6. Aft suite7298, enjoying very much! Fabulous balcony. I am spoiled for life. So quiet and the views are incredible. Tons of room and storage. Nice new tub in Bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Not one complaint.
  7. We won $50 casino cash from playing Deal or no Deal 2 days ago, but have as yet to receive it. We went to guest services and was told it might take a few days to show up on our account. Well, hopefully it shows up soon as our cruise will be ending soon.
  8. This may be a silly question, but Heck, I'll ask anyways because you guys seem to know a lot about this ship. Will I have access to a microwave anywhere on the ship? I like my special Kettle corn popcorn!!
  9. Would you be so kind as to post the entire picture? I can't see parts of it. Very interested in ambers, lagers, crafts, etc. Thanks in advance, we will be on her in June.
  10. Update, I could not get an answer, nobody returned my several emails so I just cancelled instead.
  11. My experience with this is not good-each time I cancelled or rebooked something, I had to call several times. If you have a travel agent, have them call for you.
  12. Why is it ok to preorder plastic water bottles but not eco -friendly to carry them onboard? Just asking.
  13. Well, this is all interesting to read for a newcomer like me. I was skeptical about cruising with Carnival because of past reports. Now, I am eagerly looking forward to this cruise on the Pride thanks to people like you who post realistic (I hope) comments about your experiences. Thank you!
  14. We booked chef's table for the first night. I have seen a post somewhere about a new dedicated space being built to accommodate Chef's table on a regular basis. I think they were taking the space from the old steakhouse during renovations. I am unable to verify this, so please do not take this as the final word on this topic.
  15. I saw a post from John Herald somewhere (sorry, I can't find it), but I remember being excited because it said that cabins were getting a refresh. It also confirmed the Heroes Tribute Bar and the Farenheitt rumors. If I find the post, I will try to update you. On another note, I just booked the Chef's table for the first night, anyone else going?
  16. I am similar and have booked a RIB. I am very mobile and will wing it!
  17. I had a very similar experience. I called the Fun shops people on several occasions until I finally got someone to help me last week. I received my gift card refund today via email. Be persistent and pleasant. The regular empoyees do not know how to handle gift card refunds and the TA cannot help you either.
  18. I have read that you need cash to use the rest rooms in London as well as Norway. Does anyone know how much and how do you pay? Is there an attendant that you tip? Thanks in advance. We are sailing to Norway from London soon and I want to order some currencies from my bank to take for this purpose..
  19. Can it be used to apply onboard credit? My cruise and gratuities are already paid.
  20. I am on this cruise. I paid many times more for it.... so, yes, that is a great price and I would jump on it.
  21. Thanks everyone for your assistance in clearing up the use of Gift Cards. I have definitely learned quite a bit from this forum. Now, going forward, hope others who have questions may also benefit from your expertise. Thanks again!
