  1. Hi all

i apologise in advanced if my question may sound silly to some but I’m old and lacking confidence so I turn to Cruise critics for verifications.

I need to send money back to Carnival so collections send me the instructions. My first question is when they say “invoice number “ is it my booking number? It would be easy for me to get cashier check. Could you tell me what’s next? What do I include in the check? Once I mail it to Carnival what’s next? (I plan to mail it to the address that was included in the collection department Emil) how will I know they received it and credit my account and the issue is over? It is so hard to get a hold of them. Calling them is not working they don’t answer.

please help me so I can get this done I appreciate it in advance

Funny, one of the owners of the local dry cleaners I go to just got off the Discovery Princess last week and couldn't say enough good things about everything, the food, the service, the entertainment.  This was an Alaska cruise, RT Seattle.

She was really fond of a duo that plays in one of the lounges each evening, couldn't remember their names but showed me a picture of them.  Everything she shared with me indicated that you'll not have any problems finding musical entertainment.  No mention of mariachi music, on an Alaska sailing I would think mariachi would be, at least, slightly out of place, but it sounded like the obligatory bands and musicians were all there, the Lido deck party band, jazz group, classical chamber group, and such.

The emails I'm getting from Princess for my upcoming Discovery Princess booking indicate that Rock Opera and Spotlight Bar are the major production shows.

I agree Discovery was fantastic. Just wanted to make sure still the same 🙂 🙂

  3. We will be on board the Discovery soon. We are wondering if the entertainment is good. Does it have different singers? And mariachi group especially at the piazza. We sailed a couple of months ago and it was great. Lots of entertainment and dancing. We just returned from the Emerald and we think it was very lacking. We are wondering if it was that one ship and the discovery still have plenty of entertainment we hope.

    thanks

I did disputes nd people think they can do a charge back and the charge is no longer owed. Sometimes companies even send you to a collection agency if you do a charge back. The bottom line is you still owe the money as carnival is out the money you charged back.

It's a fallacy to think you got the money back because the company agreed. Sometimes it's as simple as the company did not respond by the required date and was charged back.

Pay what you owe and the problem goes away. A lot of people dont understand the dispute process and think they won, means the charge went away. We carefully word the letter saying the temporary credit we issued will remain on your account. People read things into this like we said we agree. We carefully never say that. We know we cant say certain things.

I was never told anything. I don’t even know if this is the problem. I never owed a penny in my life. I’m only guessing. No one yet told me how to solve this since carnival are not talking to me and explaining after the many calls to them I placrd

  5. Hi all

I truly need help and I know that writing you all will give me some ideas.

I’m elite with Carnival but I didn’t cruise with them since the pandemic. I travel with an older mom and was worried about the virus so we cruised other companies for the past couple of years.
las week my carnival agent called me and talked me into trying carnival again so we booked for next month. The very next day I got an email saying my cruise has been canceled. It didn’t give me a reason or anything. I was so mad. I’m not criminal, I didn’t steal. I keep on getting emails from carnival so what happened????
I made many calls spend a lot of time on the phone with no help. Talked to Resoluton to my agent wrote customer care. I called the lady who they said did the cancellation she never answer. From the little that I learned is during the pandemic I owe $250.00 I thought hard I did cancel a cruise back than and when carnival did return my deposit I called my credit card company and got my money back. At that time everyone one was cancelling and cruise companies were refunding the full amount so I don’t know what happened. Again I still don’t know the reason coming from them but I need to clear my name. To be on a no seal list is no fun. No, I don’t want to cruise with carnival again but I need answers. I never received any letter or email addressing a problem so this came as a shock. I also want to complain but to whom? I wrote customer care and no answer. Accounting doesn’t answer and the agent said he basically didn’t want to call no one for me.

    PLEASE HELP ME

You do have a balcony cabin!

The photo and description on your reservation is incorrect. This happens a lot including my balcony reservation for my upcoming cruise.  However I've been in that cabin 3 times and I know it has a balcony.

Here is the link to the earlier question and reply.

Thanks, I didn’t want to ask I thought people will think it’s a silly question but I had to double check

Your first question was coincidentally asked and answered earlier today.  The answer is you are fine, ignore the erroneous photo.  Look at Post #192 in this thread:

Sorry but can’t find #192 so I’m not the only one asking this. Not only the picture but the reservation said ocean view. Can you please direct me to the post or reassure me I have balcony cabin. Thanks very much

  8. Hi all

have not cruise Celebrity since the pandemic so it’s been a long time. I just book on board of Royal Caribbean for Celebrity Solstice cabin #7237 I know it’s a balcony cabin but when I check my reservation in Celebrity.com it say ocean view and it show a picture of ocean view cabin. also we’re does the happy hours at the Solstice take place

If your cruise is on Monday, you test has to be on Saturday or Sunday.  Friday will not be accepted.

Not sure we’re can I get tested on Saturday or Sunday and have results on time????
We are seniors and not sure how to do all these self test done. I think if it wasn’t for these test we would have cruise more. I will have to search who can do the test, we can always go to the urgent care but our insurance try to discourage that.

Just got off this cruise on June 24th and we are diamond+. I will attempt to give you my take on your questions:

    Hi all

this our second cruise post Covid, first one with Royal Caribbean so I have few questions. Just booked 4 night out of California.

    1) does this ship has a diamond lounge?
YES, on 4th deck past Boleros
    2) does this ship has continental breakfast for diamond? How about happy hours? Any snack’s

at happy hours. Do they still do the free 3 drinks per person per evening?

They have breakfast in dining room and Windjammer. Did not go in the Diamond lounge so don’t know about continental breakfast but I would imagine this has not changed. Happy hour is still available but you have to use your drink perk in the lounge. Again did not go in but I am sure there are snacks. NO free drinks since you have to use your drinks on your seapass which Is diamond 4 drinks diamond+ 5 drinks.
    3)  what about water any free water for diamond members if not can I buy water pre cruise. We couldn’t do it in the past but we got water at happy hours and could get water with the 3 daily complimentary drinks per person per day

We got two free waters in our cabin upon arrival, no others were free. Your drinks on your seapass are good for $13 drinks so water was never our choice.

cruising has changed but we still enjoyed our cruise - don’t miss the ice show, it was great.

I forgot to ask also do we still need Covid test? Will they accept Antigua home test? From the kit we received at home?
