I STALK the Personizer until I get a cabin assignment. It is entertainment to me!

And then I have to check to make sure there is no bump-out, no connecting cabins, and that it has residential floors above and below.

I always choose my cabin even when I pay more. If you get a cabin you don’t like can you call and change it? Will they do it if they have more cabins empty?

GEE... where do I find those TAs that are willing to kick back 10% to 15% of your cruise fare??

Yea, each time I talked to an agent I was told I have the best deal on my own. I do like some promo’s while not always it is worth it but pre paid tips and OBC is nice.

  3. Hi all, I have been in the Ruby about a year or so ago. They had a LOT of activity by the Piazza area, games, demonstrations, different singers...something was going on especially on sea days. I just returned from a 7 nights Star Princess and not much was going on compared to the Ruby. What I like to know does the Ruby still have activity at the Piazza area especially on sea days?

  4. Hi all , I have a question that deal with AMEX credit card. I thought some of you may know. Does AMEX Offers a deal of being able to cancel/change flights without any panelists if you pay $25.00 extra when booking the flights? I once heared that but I can’t find anything about it. Thanks so very much

  5. It all depends how much you drink. We just booked a cruise under the sip and sail promotion. I than found out that if we don’t want to book without using the promo for sip and sail we will pay $625.00 less so we besicly buying the package. The catch is that it is a none refundable deposit and the sip and sail is refundable. The cruise is a year and a half out so it’s a chance we have to take. Also you don’t need a travel agent for that. I just called princess and asked them if I can book without the sip and sail.

  6. @John Watson: 8% is the random distribution figure, but a lot of people take cruises to celebrate special events, such as milestone birthdays. I know we do that! My guess is that the percentage of birthday monthers would be much higher than the random 8.33%, maybe as high at 15%.

I don't really need the balloons on the cabin door!

I agree with you. It is not so much th $50.00 or the picture but it was so very, very nice especially that I didn’t expect any thing. People do book during special occasions and if it about the same cruise and you sail the same company I my self will go with company who will honor their special day

  7. When I cruise last year with carnival on my birthday month I didn’t expect any thing but what a nice surprise I got. I had a birthday wishes card from Carnival plus $50.00 for the spa and a coupon for free picture I think $12.00 priced. I don’t know if they still do that but they did last year and now I’m thinking to book for 2019 during my birthday month

  8. We got all of these benefits through a TA for our Sept 2019 Alaskan cruise, just before princess offered the PBP. Can't remember when we booked exactly, but it was during a 3 day sale through the TA.

For us the deal was that if we stayed in a balcony or above, we received PBP for the first 2, soda and more for the next 2 and prepaid tips for the first 2 in the room. We booked a window suite for the 4 of us and received, not only the specialty dining the first night, but an additional specialty dining paid for by the TA, We also received our FCC onboard and the TA gave us an additional $100 (divided between the 4 of us).

We got in on the same deal for our upcoming cruise (5 weeks!), same type of room. Same benefits. Shorter cruise though. They are going to have to roll me off the ship with 2 specialty dining(s), 2 formal nights with club class!

Are you cruising to Alaska? As I was told by them. It is no were to be found on the web sight. I usually book directly with the cruise line. I’m starting to think may be I need to book with travel agent. I don’t know were to start to find a good agent

  9. Hi all, sorry if I asked this question before I’m just not sure. I’m almost sure that I did but I can’t find the answer. This is what happens now that i’m Older:) does princess give any thing if you cruise on your birthday month? Such as free picture or voucher for $50.00 for the spa? If no what do they do if any? Thanks so much and once again sorry if I asked it before

  10. hi all, I have a question. I’m cruising on Sep. 10 of this year. I have the 100 shares. Can I fax the copy of my statement showing end of July 31 or do I need to wait until Aug. 31 statement come out. If I wait for the Aug. 31 I will hardly have time left before the cruise. Your answers are appreciated
