Non-stop flights on SW from PVD are becoming non existent no matter where your destination is. It doesn’t make sense to me. Doesn’t it cost the airline more to make those stops? There must be airport and gate usage fees, plus additional crew scheduling, baggage handling, etc.

I’m also really glad you’re not planning to cancel the October cruise - Jost Van Dyke just wouldn’t be the same without Sea Dog (and Linda too of course). Does any kind of brace or support device help in the meantime until you can have the surgery?

Finally a beautiful, warm, sunny day today here in RI. We held a yard sale today, trying to clear out a bunch of stuff from our house and our two local daughters. Not many people came but folks are probably doing other fun things on our first really nice day. It didn’t help that our town is having a big food truck event at a local park with live music, fun stuff for kids, etc. Currently relaxing by the pool and will put some marinated London Broil steaks on the grill later. The gazebo is up and we love it. Please excuse all the stuff laying around-it’s the story of my life right now 🤪.

@dani negreanu thanks for sharing all those pictures of your vacation and your beautiful family. My grandsons (and daughter & SIL of course) are only a five hour car ride from us and I think that’s too far so I can only imagine how you and DH are feeling 💔.

We’re having the worst June weather I can recall. Temperatures struggle to get out of the low 70’s every day and this is the upcoming forecast: I just hope we get to use our pool this summer!

That’s the same one we have. The only problems with the iPad/computer are user errors 😉, but the ice maker randomly stops working a couple of times a year.

As others have said, best to stay away from Samsung. We’ve had no issues with the refrigerator itself, but the ice maker is a different story. It’s very unreliable. Greg, sorry to hear your other knee is now give you so much trouble and that Linda’s having back problems. I hope you both find some lasting relief very soon. You and your family are blessed to have such a wonderful, supportive community John.

Thanks for sharing it with us. It’s been a hectic weekend here to say the least. But I think (hope? pray?) a few more days and we’ll settle into a routine. There’s just SO MUCH STUFF, everywhere!

It’s also a good day to stay in and get some more organizing done before the move-in starts this evening.

Congratulations to Eric on his retirement! They move in this weekend Maryann. I’m sure it’ll be chaotic and crazy at times with a 2 year old & 4 year old! I also have to get used to cooking for six people instead of just the two of us.

We are preparing to have our quiet retirement world turned upside down starting this weekend. Jessica, Sam & our two granddaughters (oh, and the dog too!) are moving in while their house undergoes major renovations consisting of new hardwood floors throughout and all new windows and doors. They’re also gutting and remodeling the kitchen including taking down a wall. My SIL is naive enough to think they’ll be here two weeks 😂. Pray for me, lol!

I’m trying to play catch up again, but got distracted by the humor thread in its new spot in Floataway lounge. They’re really letting it all loose over there! Some have mentioned they wouldn’t follow or post in this thread if it were moved to Floatway. I’m just curious why? Does anyone know what kind of tree this is? There are quite a few in my neighborhood, some with this color flower but more with a yellowish cream color flower.
