  1. We just got off the Allure yesterday. We had MTD and our friend had early dinner. We went to the MDR once we got on and had them add our friend to our reservation. If you can't get your TA to fix it, change it yourself onboard and get a new TA.
  2. An update, we did have to show proof of vaccination at the check in counter at United. last week.

He said it back in Oct 2021, I am sure it has been updated since. The picture of a screen shot on the CBP site with the covid updates. https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/coronavirus
  4. Yes as a non US resident you will need to provide the airline with a copy of your vaccination status. At least on United you need to complete their Travel Ready Center. Also be prepared to show a copy of your vaccination status at the counter as sometimes they ask, sometime they don't. Flying today uploaded everything yesterday.
  5. Forgot to mention, food we had in the MDR was great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Izumi's was very good. Since we are not big dessert eaters we were able to trade our desserts in for 2 additional small plates. We also went to Chops and it was ok. Haven't been impressed with Chops in years plus it was a free meal from our travel agent.
  6. We were on the Voyager back in September for the TA and loved it. Best bar we found was The Tavern. Traveling with twenty people we all would pop in and out at different times there before dinner or evening plans. Plenty of seating and the music was not loud so you could have a conversation. Yes you get on the ship on deck 4. @Broons77 are you a Ray Bourque fan? Our cat in our avatar was a Marchand fan.
  7. Are not the oranges they use to make the juice actually juice oranges which are different than the oranges that you eat? Not an orange expert by any means but this is what I believed.
  8. This is not intended to start a discussion on tipping, but we tip a dollar per drink on our drink coupons. We get 5 each, so at the beginning of the day I slip 10 ones in my pocket. When I run out of ones, we have run out of coupons. That's how we keep track. Our other drink purchases have no additional tip as there is 18% included.
  9. Aren't they planning on building a ultra high speed train that runs in a vacuum tube on magnets?
  10. I'm accustom to wood fired pizza. If I have room in my pizza oven, you are more than welcome to cook your lasagna. Using a toaster oven for lasagna is so provincial.

  12. At least our airlines aren't having issues like Southwest.
  13. We get off around 9 and my self control kicks in after the 5th mimosa. 🤣
  14. New really been impressed with the lobster on the ship. For us it's ok, but our recent cruises we have turned it down. Best for us is either I do it or purchase it at the grocery store where they steam it for free and we just take it home and eat it. We're not lobster snobs, we just like what we like.
  15. I should have mentioned it was a 5 minute walk to Publix. I know because I did it 3 times the morning before the cruise. 🤣
  16. I wish what Royal would do is to sell the drink package depending on your status. Before I get flamed hear me out. On our last cruise in November, we drank as usual purchasing a few beers during the afternoon and in the evening when we used our coupons. We started the day with a Cesar on the coupons then in the evening before and after dinner the remaining drinks on coupons. Only one or 2 nights we purchased a Guinness for a nightcap. In total we spent $33 each on drinks per day on that cruise. So if Royal would sell me a drink package for even $40, I would probably buy it. Not for $75.99. Or $75.99 - ($14 X 5) = $5.99 difference if I didn't purchase anymore beverages.
  17. Oh look, West Jet flies from T3 in Toronto. https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/this-is-a-joke-right-some-travellers-baggage-lost-for-days-as-pearson-struggles-with-broken-luggage-belt-1.6209134
  18. Hampton Brickle was fabulous. Stayed there overnight before our cruise in November. Nice clean newly renovated hotel. Minutes from Publix and other restaurants. There is Miami's free people mover station right beside the hotel that can take you to many other locations. Would stay here again hands down.
  19. We purchased seats on WestJet and they were given up for crew that was traveling. Another flight purchased business class tickets and stuck me back in economy and there were empty seats up front. Unless they are the only option, I will not fly WJ again. They are a discount airline and that is what you can expect from one.
  20. Absolutely would join you and share what I can. Funny you mention Multimatic as I did do work for them at one point of my career. We have a couple of divisions south of you.
  21. Automotive industry in the advanced product design.
  22. Originally I only well wished anyone headed to a cruise and I did not want to offend anyone that was not traveling to a cruise. Trying to be all inclusive is tough. So a change in direction... Who is worried about missing your cruise because of the weather and what alternative plans have you put in place?
  23. Hello, for all those travelling to catch a cruise or just going to visit family, I wish you arrive safely and on time to your destination. Safe travels everyone! Merry Christmas.
