  2. Thanks for the link to the Alcatraz trip, what is the distance from where the Princess discovery ship docks to where the ferry is located? Want to know if easy to walk to pick up the ferry. Also it states masks required on the ferry and in terminal, was wondering if anyone has done this recently and were they requiring masks at this time? Maybe this info is outdated regarding masks. Thanks for your information.
  3. We just did this cruise June 1st, really enjoyed the sea days. This was our first Hawaii cruise, and we had a great time. Enjoy!!!!

Im not sure who you should talk to about this, but I just wanted to agree on the time it takes to get a drink when ordering from the app. On the discovery in Feb, we had the same issue, and then they would cancel the order. I agree that they advertise this service and they do not follow thru. I was hoping that they would improve over time with this feature, but obviously it is the same still. We did not have any issues in the MDR, the service there was great. Hopefully you can get some satisfaction since you are on the ship right now.
  5. Thanks for sharing your experience, we also had many issues on the Discovery in February. The ship was beautiful and the staff we had no problems. The crown grill was a real disappointment. Also the app did not work as promised, we never received anything ordered thru it, to a location or to the room. Im not sure why they still are offering that perk??? Whenever we said something their response was well we are so busy....... Maybe they were not prepared for the order anywhere on the app and it will find you program. I finally stopped using the app and ordered drinks at the bars, (my complaint is if you are too busy and cant keep up with the demand then maybe the program should not be implemented). We also had charges added to our account that we needed to get removed (which they did with no problems), so make sure you check your account closely. We just cancelled our August cruise when we got home, We will wait to see if we will cruise Princess again, will keep reading reviews to see if things are better. and I do appreciate you taking the time to write this review......
  6. I want to thank you for posting this issue, I had no idea they would do this. I will definitely check my booking often since they pulled this on you. Again I appreciate you taking the time to let us know what happened to you, and I dont blame you for being upset over it, I would be upset also.
  7. Our first time using the YTD was in October, we loved it, the convivence. We never had to wait for more than 10 minutes, and when you do check in on app, you know your party is all ready to go. Having the early or late seating, there were always people who would show up late and would completely throw the wait staff off their timing. (not our party) we know the importance of showing up on time for the early or late seating to keep the flow going for all tables. I will definitely use the YTD in the future.

  9. I am using an i-phone, Verizon is carrier, Am I able to text my family at home ? Or do I need to do something special thru Verizon for this to be possible. I dont care about phone calls, but would just like to be able to stay in touch by texting. Thanks
  10. Was wondering since they say ship arrives back in Long Beach at 9 am . what time did they start letting people off the ship? Thanks
