  1. There's no testing requirements at all for Rome or any of the ports in Spain. In fact, cruises that go out from Rome or Spain do not require proctored tests, just self-test is fine. Hence I'm wondering the logic. If RCL is concerned about too far-away proximity from land (which I'd understand), but then why would they allow self test for Panama cruises? Doe not seem to be consistent to me.
  2. Wondering if people have thoughts on why RCL has very different testing protocols on a 13 nights Panama Canal (LA to Tampa) - requires testing but NO supervision/proctored required. But a 13 nights TA cruise (from Rome to FLL) requires proctored testing? Can't figure out the logic....anyone? Thanks in advance!
  3. We are doing our first TA end of Oct, Westbound, Rome to FLL, although we've been cruising for many years. It's so wonderful to hear stories and experiences from you all avid TA cruisers. So excited!! Thanks for all the stories sharing!!
  4. I believe you need to call your TA, or direct to RCL customer service (if you booked directly) to request the change.
  5. Never mind.... I see that you've stated already. Silly me. Thanks! Thanks for the great info. Just wondering what time were you at the Civitavecchia Port for embarkation? Did you arrive earlier than your designated time? Thanks!
  6. Got it. That may mean though someone could still be reviewing it, just not finalized yet. I really hope what you saw this morning by will come through 😀
  7. No mentioning of testing though, hopefully that will become more clear/specific as the news rolls out. We're all assuming that testing would go away....
  8. Per the article: Officially, still waiting for the "john hancock" from Trudeau 🙂 But we all think it's going to be dropped. The federal government has decided to drop the vaccination requirement for people entering Canada, end random COVID-19 testing at airports and make the use of the ArriveCan app optional by the end of this month, a senior government source told CBC News. Earlier this week, sources told CBC that Ottawa was leaning toward ending the measures but a final decision hadn't been made because it was awaiting the approval of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
  9. Are you sure? Last I looked, still pending Prime Minister Trudeau to sign off. Until then, it's not official yet. But we all think it's coming though.
  10. May I ask where on the RCL web page did you see this? This is great news, but I'm not able to see this same verbiage.
  11. Do you know when the change might be (approximately) for the Odyssey of the Seas change? We're cruising on 10/31
  12. We are planning to purchase the international plan $35 for 10 days which includes unlimited call and 5G internet. We're on the same page 🙂 . I've studied up the routes so have an idea. and planning to use the love google ,aps to navigate. So relieved to hear that it's working well. THANK YOU!
  13. Thank you! Wow, very impressive and efficient route, with a 4 year old on a stroller on cobblestone streets! 🙂 Your notes are extremely helpful. Were you taking live walking directions from Google map, or you just happen to know exactly where to navigate? If it's from Google map, do you find the directions accurate? We are planning to do almost the same route as you guys are.
  14. Thanks for the great review. It's amazing that with a 4 year old, you are still able to do and see SO MUCH in Rome. Can I ask if you were going from site to site (Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc etc) all on foot? Just wondering how you guys navigated from site to site. We are visiting Rome so any insight would be very helpful! Also, what time did you get off the ship, and arrive in Rome, and what time you guys heading back? Just thinking of time allocation. Thanks.
  15. We will be on a TA cruise from Civitavecchia to Ft Lauderdale end of October with RCL. We have the earliest boarding time 11:30 am. Due to scheduling circumstances, we will be at the port at around 10 am. This is our first TA cruise, and also our first in Italy. Just wondering if anyone has experience in boarding process with RCL at Civitavecchia in terms of how early will they let you into the terminal? Given out boarding time is 11:30 but we're arriving at 10 am, hoping we don't have to wait too long outside the terminal (with luggage and all) before they will start letting us into the terminal to wait for embarkation. Does anyone has similar experience? Than you in advance!
  16. Are you referring to checking-in? That's the only time I recall when you can enter all of your personal travel information. Check in is open 45 days prior to embarkation.
  17. I have an older version of Samsung Android phone, so I cannot use Airtag, nor the Smart Tag Plus versions. Thinking of getting a smart tag to track luggage while travelling by plane. Has anyone used the regular version of the Smart Tag? (Not the Smart Tag Plus). If so, what's your experience? Have you find it useful? Has it travelled internationally and where? Thank you so much in advance!

    Rome Cabs

The driver used to carry a portable "Square" type of credit card scanner, but I was confirmed by Romes Cab that they have discontinued it now, because the wireless connection is hit or miss. They will ONLY accept cash if you pay the driver during the ride. The only way to pay by credit card is to prepay on their website through the reservation link.
  19. How can I mirror my Android device to the cabin TV? Thanks in advance,!
  20. If you are not boosted, you can still cruise. You just need to take the PCR test within 72 hours, or Antigen test within 24 hours. And it must be proctored. If you are boosted, then you can take either PCR or Antigen within 3 days.
  21. We are staying in the Yacht Club - Seashore, October cruise out of Miami. Our return flight is 6pm, so a long wait after disembarkation. It would help if we can stay on the ship at least until 10am-ish? Does anyone know how late the Yacht Club would allow passengers to stay onboard before disembarking? Thanks so much in advance!
  22. Thank you, I got it now. However, if I go to the Teppanyaki/Hibachi, sand have the fixed $45 meal, does it mean that I just have to pay for the $10 surcharge? The rest of the $45 would be covered under my specialty package? Thanks!
  23. Also does the Teppanyaki restaurant on the Odyssey of the Seas has fixed price menu? And do you know how much? Thank you!
