  1. NOPE.

Thee is no way to compare MSC with Silversea.

Even in the MSC Yacht Club, unless you never leave the Yacht Club. Only been on Celebrity once for a brief cruise.

    The crowds, yikes!

You only live once, make it the best it can be.

As we all have experienced in the past several years, unexpected stuff happens and life gets put on hold.

    Enjoy yours.

    Silversea will help!

And there is now a fly in the ointment.  It seems I have developed a bacterial throat infection.  Currently on antibiotics.  Myster will be going off solo for the excursion in Apia.

    Feel better soonest.

Well it got me reading the reviews section. just Wow. just reinforces the fact that people will post negative reviews much more frequently than positive reviews. That Ship score is therefore screwed to the lower end. A bad way to choose your cruise ship.

I really liked the fellow who gave the Nova a score of 1. the main gripe was with the excursions. why you would want to continue with the included excursions after a couple of really bad experience amazes me. But the clincher was saying at one port docking was delayed at one port so that all excursions could depart at the same time. Me thinks SS would not delay docking but rather dock early so that all excursions leave on time. But then goes on in capitals how he had to queue in the stairwell for an hour waiting for the ship to be docked. Obviously a fellow who doesn't read the Chronicles or listen to announcements which virtually every time say go to the gangway when your tour is called. I really dislike the crowds that cram the gangway area making it difficult for those that are called to get to the gangway.

I haven’t read the reviews section. Now i will try.

I also didn’t realize there is a live reports section for many cruises. YIKES!

I’m sorry to hear about that crazy routing Spins. I agree that would be a no go. I hope you are able to have them changed.

We received a not so great routing on our upcoming cruise and asked if they could change the days and our SS agent  got back to us with the flights we wanted(both non stop and open jaw from PHL to/from Europe) , but with a reasonable deviation fee. Even with deviation fee,  there was no way I was getting that BC flight on my own for even close to what SS charged us.  So will wait and see if our  flights are ticketed as planned and if so, this will be the 4th time SS got us a better BC deal and non stop flights .good luck and hope all gets corrected.

    No word as of yet.

This will be a deal breaker for us.

  5. Just to clarify, we have had Silversky or whatever their moniker is at the moment, book flights for us that were fine. The most recent two cruises have been more of a challenge apparently and they weren’t able to offer us air reservations.  Not the case for this cruise, but then look what they booked for us.  Maybe it’s just time to avoid them altogether!

  6. In the past, one would get a bag if in a silver suite or higher. It’s not a beach bag. Usually a white bag, which resembles a Le Pliage, and a backpack.

I believe this is current info but don’t hold me to it!  Maybe someone aboard can confirm.
