  1. Love the Koningsdam and at the Grand Dutch Cafe, don't miss the expresso martini, so good. Enjoy the Koningsdam.....
  2. I am on the sailing where Bonaire was eliminated and could care less, I book ship, not itinerary. AND I love the idea as an overnight in Curacao.....I can't wait!!!!!!!
  3. If I get information that doesn't make sense, I wait an hour or two and call back, get another agent, see what they say. Often I get an answer on my second or sometimes third call that makes more sense than my first call.
  4. Thanks for the answers on fight times. I was just going to ask the same thing.....how early and would a 10:20 am flight from FLL be too early for March 17th.....I still have some wiggle room to see if Jetblue adds additional flight times that may be better for cruises, but if not, I may just book that 10:20 am flight home.....thanks everyone....
  5. Thank you everyone, as always great information here.......really appreciate it.
  6. Good morning: It's been a long while since I disembarked a cruise ship in Vancouver and have forgotten the procedure. Assuming we need to clear Canadian customs at the port and then is it US customs and immigration at the airport??? thanks in advance.
  7. I total get the frustration here, but I also hear the same frustration from my friends who sail other lines. You can change lines, but trust me, there will always be some type of frustration you will have to deal with. I just ask the question, how do we correct this....get it resolved one way or the other.
  8. Unfortunately everyone could say that they were told their crew appreciation was included and how does HAL know who really was and who wasn't. People make mistakes, just cancel and rebook and problem solved.....
  9. Following this as well, sailing to Aruba in March and would love just a ride to Eagle Beach from the cruise port, if possible..........
  10. I would choose Tamarind over Canaletto any day........
  11. I remember the days when HAL sailed under a "tipping not required" policy, we always tipped anyway, but I never got the sense the crew expected any tip and I still to this day do not get the sense they expect anything. They do work hard, I appreciate them and try to show my appreciation.
  12. In March I had my gratuities included in my HIA package and we did tip our cabin stewards at the end of the cruise. We had opening dining and only ate in the dining room one time and we did give a few dollars to the waiters. When we got drinks, sometimes I gave them a couple of dollars and sometimes I didn't. Its totally up to you. If I ever got room service I definitely gave them a few dollars. Tip, I always travel with about $50 in $1's for tipping..........
  13. Thanks Ruthc, that's how I remember it, but it's been a while for me as well.
  14. When you purchase your air through HAL, are airport to ship and ship to airport transfers included or are they separate?
  15. This is great news Copper10-8, thanks for sharing....
  16. Cappuccino and Espresso Martini's were my two fav's at the Grand Dutch Cafe.
  17. Thank you Cruisepro, I think that is a good option for them to rent daily once onboard.
  18. Thank you everyone, really appreciate your help.....I will forward this information to them.
  19. It’s a 21 day cruise total, a 14 day and then a 7 day back to back. It’s not the money but rather the weather as the last leg is around Norway end of April beginning of May and they figure they won’t use the cabana.
  20. They have just the one booking number, perhaps that's the issue. Thanks....
  21. Thought I'd come here to see if this is possible. Friends of mine are booked on a transatlantic to Europe, back to back cruise. They called Ships Services to book a cabana on the Rotterdam for the first leg of the cruise only and were told they needed to book the cabana for the entire cruise, which they don't want. Has anyone been able to book a cabana on a back to back cruise for only the first leg? If they were to cancel and book 2 separate cruises, could that be a work around or not? thanks in advance....
  22. Wow, thank you so much great information.
