  1. Well that explains it. Anytime you re-price, the entire fare is re-priced at today's rates. You have never been allowed to add promotions, includibg military or resident rates to an existing fare without it being changed to the current rate.
  2. Just curious as I have literally dealt with hundreds of price drops and never had one refused. Were you trying to get the military discount applied to your original rate or was the new price that was advertised on Royals site which included the military discount lower than the price you paid. Did you by chance book a restricted rate like a friends and family rate or even a group rate initially.
  3. I have only bought the Key once as it was only $70 more than the internet package I was going to buy. never used the show seating, just found our own seats where we wanted to sit.
  4. You cannot compare a room with 2 adults in it to a room with 2 adults and a child. They are completely different categories even though they are the same basic room. yes the rooms for 3 or more guests usually have a higher price for the first 2 guests as there are a lot less rooms that hold 3 on most ships (Icon is the exception) and therefore they are more in demand and command a higher price. Take a look at booking one adult in the balcony and the other adult solo in the cheapest inside that there is and then all sleep in the balcony room.
  5. Sounds like they just booked you and are using the fact that you can cancel within 24 hours andecget a refund. Totally different than a courtesy hold where your card woukd not have been charged.
  6. This is normal. FCC's must be redeemed on cruises in the same currency that they were issued.
  7. My wife would definitely be in shock. She can't do an hour long car trip without stocking the car with enough provisions to last a week and diving into them before we even get to the highway.
  8. The biggest advantage that Ovation has over Quantum is je ability to book a category 2E obstructed balcony snd select a cabin on deck 7 that on Quantum and Anthem are regular 4D and 2D balconies. There can be some very significant savings and you get a great cabin.
  9. Once you board head to any specialty restaurant and make all your reservations. You are not able to reserve the 5 night package ahead of time.
  10. Utopia is mid June, who knows if they will co ordinate anything else around that release.
  11. My guess would be that Allure heads back to PC in January 2025 and Utopia heads over to Asia at that time. Pretty sure with the importance of the Asian market long term that when they do re-enter that market it will be with a new ship and not one of the oldest OA class ships out there. Given that Utopia's itineraries have not been released the above is accomplished without redeploying any existing ships
  12. Amazing that after all the detail come out that there is actually no issue at all.
  13. No you don't. With a cash account on a 7 day sailing you can charge up to $500 before being asked to pay down your account. No credit card or debit card is ever required.
  14. Nope. Celebration Table can be reserved by groups of up to 12 (16?) and you set your own menu. It is a separate room off Hooked. Supper club is a regular specialty restaurant that can be reserved by anyone.
  15. In todays $ the interiors are less than the balconies but you cant compare that. You booked a long time ago so balcony prices are less. You are being charged todays rates for the interiors which is actually more than what you paid. They can't go back in time and give you the interiors at what they were when you originally booked the balconies. There are certainly issues with cabins being changed that need to be addressed however what you have described on the pricing is correct.
