  1. They worked fine for our group for those that did not have wifi
  2. Sounds like someone pulled the terms and conditions from years past as this states it is not combinable with the shareholder benefit and that changed a couple years ago. Royal really sucks on making sure that what they post on their website is the most accurate and up to date information.
  3. Reservations if required will be available to make in the cruise planner 30 - 45 days prior to sailing. This window was shortened when they started with the reservations this past December.
  4. Nothing at all happens. Lots of different itineraries that have 8 or 9pm all aboard times. If you stay at the port later you can either eat in port, get something from the WJ or make a later reservation at a specialty restaurant.
  5. Not quite. You have to book an actual sailing on board and pay full deposit. You can't book a refundable choose later as far as I know.
  6. It is "supposed" to be applied automatically within 7 to 10 days but I find myself having to call more often than not.
  7. Obc will change. It will also be reduced if you downgrade.
  8. Any of the agents either on the regular line or the C&A line can convert the next cruise booking to an active sailing.
  9. Going into your phone settings and turning on notifications for that app will allow notifications. Our group of 12 used it over Christmas and we all received immediate notifications without the app specifically being open.
  10. Most people do not know this but you can book next cruise certificates on board that are refundable. The sweet spot is the 7 night balcony sailings. Instead of getting $100 OBC you get $75 OBC and its refundable. This works well for those transferring to a TA who has lower group rates. You get the extra $75 OBC and get to keep the booking refundable, transfer it to your TA, get the group OBC and the lower rate. The only thing you do not get is a reduced deposit which if you were moving it into the group for a lower rate you would have to increase the deposit anyway as group bookings must have a full deposit not the reduced deposit.
  11. No. Only Oasis and Quantum class ships have Coastal Kitchen
  12. Royals medical ($25k) and evac ($50K) suck compared to nearly every other policy out there. On the plus side, their cost is solely based on the cost of the trip and not age so for those older folks who face high premiums based on age this is a good alternative. Another plus is that is has a 90% CFAR provision. This comes back in the form of an FCC. Cancellation for covered reasons are 100% refunded.
  13. In all fairness I pulled it off Royals website for TA's. I just incorrectly assumed they would have the same info on their consumer site.
  14. There was something scheduled in the music hall pretty much every night however depending on your music preference you may not want to go every night. On our cruise a week ago there was a U2 tribute band, a house band that played Prince and another night where it was Horns and Jazz.
  15. I thought I had read that in one of their website / phone "enhancememts" that this option was removed. @molly361?
  16. There are lots of TA's out there that have group rates on balconies and below. Those rates are refundable and are in nearly all cases less than what Royals Non refundable rates are.
  17. You need to turn on notifications on for the app in your phone settings and it actually works very well.
