  1. I'd rather a couch than one of those chairs.
  2. There was excess capacity and there end up being a lot of quad cabins that didn't get booked to full capacity. I am very leery of booking anyone into a triple that is only available as a triple unless the third is a child.
  3. Most of NCL's deposits are fully refundable
  4. Royal has converted many rooms that were previously double occupancy into triple occupancy staterooms and they just make the couch into a bed. It does not pullout like a sofa bed.
  5. That is correct. If you cancel outright at any time prior to final payment you lose the entire deposit. You may also change ship and sail date for a $100 per person penalty. As mentioned you also may have the option of paying more for a refundable deposit where you can cancel at any time up until final payment for a full refund. The refundable deposit can only be purchased for balconies and below. Suites, including Junior suites, are exclusively non refundable deposits.
  6. go to guest services and they will issue you extra room keys. They may or may nor rearrange people in the proper cabin.
  7. 13160 - bed by bath 13560 - bed by balcony still follows the pattern
  8. Utopia and Icon were released for sale earlier than the rest of the fleet and other than the Spectrum were really the introduction of the SJS to the North American Market. The bean counters changed their minds on the inclusions prior to the regular release of itineraries for the rest of OA and QN class and it was removed but since IC on UT had been released they grandfathered those 2 ships in. I totally agree that it should have been kept for all ships, especially with the premium they are paying. They could have even buried another couple hundred to the price to cover the cost and no one would have blinked an eye. Pretty shortsighted move IMO.
  9. Itcwas fue to when the itineraries with the new cabin category were released. It was an after the fact cuttack in benefits.
  10. Wifi is only included fur Sky Junior Suites on the Icon, utopia and Spectrum. It is nit included on the other ships where sky Jr suites were later rolled out.
  11. Have you called your TA and asked them. As mentioned, obc that the agency is providing may not show up until dsy 2 on board. This is coming out of their commission so if you get price drops they get less commission and therefore they will likely offer less obc. There is other non promo obc that appears to cone from the TA that will show up in the cruise planner that could be affected by a reprice as well. The only way you will know for sure is to ask your TA and thry are the only one that will be able to tell you the source of the obc and whether it was affected by the price drop.
  12. They are provided in cabins for cruises from the UK
  13. I was on the fence about buying it for my Utopia sailing and went in this morning and poof, back up to over $80 from $68. Oh well, it probably saved me money (and my liver) by not buying it
  14. I was the one that told you there is still tons of availability and there still is in every category. If you are having difficulties then call Royal directly or use a travel agent.
  15. Rooms do not have to be "next to each other" One room can also be directly across the hall from the other. This opens up a lot of balcony and inside cabin combinations.
  16. While Royal will certainly welcome existing cruisers on the short cruisers their main intention with Wonder and Utopia is to go after the new to cruise business which is a huge market. For existing cruisers it may not appeal but it has a lot of appeal to those who have never cruised. It is not as big of an investment in both time and money to try a new type of vacation that they may be hesitant about trying. It's all about offering up a brand new product that will draw in new guests to try cruising and then hopefully get them back on board for the longer cruises. Short vacations, whether it's a weekend to Vegas, Disney, a beach or another city is a huge market that Royal is now going after with some of the best ships they have.
  17. Short cruises only get $50 stockholder OBC
  18. How else would you describe charging solos 250% or 300%. Even 200% would a joke with the wifi and drink package vost for 2 built into the price.
  19. Solo's still treated like crap on Celebrity
  20. Your 19 yo could sail by herself on Royal in Europe. Just get extra keys issued on board.
  21. Glad to hear things worked out for you. Seems the ships Dr. failed to mention that "Fit to Sail" letter or ignored it in the OP's case.
  22. While I completely agree with the initial course of action taken by the ships physician based on the information he had at the time what I don't understand is why the passenger would not be allowed to reboard the ship after getting the all clear from the hospital that has far more specialized equipment. To me that is the issue here, not his initial diagnosis.
  23. You should take a look ar Explora. Not out of Tampa but there are sailing from Florida. Great all inclusive cruise line.
