  1. Yes, tried logging into Princess.com and got message having technical difficulties, please try later. Last time this happened, I just hit submit again and got on, not now.
  2. This was answered in post#2, yes, Johnny Rockets is included.
  3. I believe RCL just instituted a new policy for the per diem venues. It is now ONCE per day, no more closing tab and starting new one.
  4. I just received a text from a passenger currently on the Emerald. He said the changing rooms in the Fitness center were remodeled and there are NO longer complimentary steam and saunas, they were removed? This is the first I have heard Princess has removed the steam and saunas from a ‘Grand’ class ship, and wonder if it will roll over to the other Grand Class ships being, Caribbean, Crown, Ruby and Sapphire. waiting to get further confirmation from other passengers
  5. The ‘agent’ might have updated your ‘choice’, but what is actually available once you board in January will be what you receive. Recently on Navigator and Loyalty Ambassador said No towels in stock and no ideal when they would be available again. Title of thread is misleading as I believe OP is referring to C&A amenities based on level, such as welcome drink and ‘gifts’ such as bottle of wine, etc. when you reach Diamond+. My understanding, chef’s choice is just that, whatever the ship’s chef has decided to send which has usually been a plate of cookies? Royal eliminated doing this online a long time ago as reported in many previous threads regarding updating your Welcome drink preferences starting at Emerald level.
  6. @Coral, the Loyalty Command OBC that was eliminated with the restart based on number of cruise credits starting with cruise credit 21, seemed to be eligible for both passengers. The rule was per Household, but it has previously been reported married couples with different last names and addresses in their Princess profiles, would each receive, even if booked in the same cabin. Shareholders looks at the booking number, and if one person has already claimed the benefit, I would be surprised another OBC would be added, whether different last name of not. Of course, mistakes can happen. Couples traveling in separate cabins, say with a child or the partner of another couple they will switch with once on board, can receive the shareholder benefit for each cabin, as long as both names are on the Stock account. I know NCL requires in this case, a minimum of 200 shares are required as each cabin booked needs 100 shares, currently if a couple has a joint account with only 100 shares, Princess currently has been allowing shareholder benefit if booked in separate cabins for both. As suggested, I would not submit benefit at same time for this scenario.
  7. The ‘coupon book’ is a perk Princess gives to certain Travel agencies to include when you book with that agency. In the past, when there was a physical book, it was delivered to your stateroom. Now, you are suppose to receive a link about a week or so before your cruise which will open a file which you can scroll to see all the coupons. Currently on the Majestic, since precruise links were not sent, they have a QR code you scan which will download the coupon file. A few months ago, my sister was on the Caribbean Princess and she forgot to download the file, so on board she went to guest services and they had printed copies of the book. She said they had a list of cabins who were entitled to the book, so it appears some ships will check if you are suppose to get. As many have posted in other similar threads, the only coupon that was popular was the now gone BOGO for Specialty dinner on night1 and if you gamble in the Casino, spend $20, get $10 promotional dollars to spend in the casino. I think the previous casino coupon was BOGO for the slot of Blackjack tournaments. I think one of the new coupons of a free 8x10 Platinum Studio picture is nice, but time consuming as you need to book a Platinum studio session, then return to review you photo’s. The free 8x10 has a value of $150. You are not obligated to purchase any other prints or accessories like frames, larger sizes. Not all agencies have the coupon book to add and I seem to remember it is seasonal when Princess offers this amenity. You can verify if your booking has the coupon book by checking your travel summary as it will be listed there.
  8. Yes, WiFi is optional and actually you can share the one device plan. Only one device active/logged in at a time, unless you need both passengers to be able to be online at the same time. You log in to medallion net on a device using the Stateroom number and birthdate as credentials. If you want to login on another device with the one device plan, it may ask you do you want to log off the other active device or just say login on this device and it will automatically log off the other device. Buying WiFi plan is not like the Adult beverage package where if one adult buys, if there is another Adult in cabin, they must also purchase.
  9. @Nightowl11, the marketing is a little misleading and not only Princess does this as I have received emails implying the same from other Travel agencies leading you to think, they are including the ‘plus’ amenities as a ‘gift’ opposed to these are included ‘if’ you chose to select the ‘plus’ fare, which of course if higher than the standard/basic fare. The Love boat sale is a ‘true’ sale as it is allowing reduced refundable deposits and giving $100 shore excursion credit for passenger1 and 2. , maybe even up to 4 in the cabin, you need to check. Booking solo will give you $200 shore excursion credit and it has been reported you do not have to use this OBC for shore excursions but it will/may be treated as any other non refundable OBC that you can use for practically anything you purchase on board. We will not know for sure till someone actually sails on one of these cruises with the shore excursion OBC and reports back if Princess has updated it’s on board accounting system to differentiate this shore excursion OBC. I agree some of the marketing pop ups regarding the Love Boat Sale, even one here on cruise critic, implies you are getting the ‘plus’ amenities for ‘free’ as part of the ‘sale’. Nope, you will I only receive them if you opt to select the higher ‘plus’ or ‘premier’ fares, you do get $100 shore excursion OBC and reduced refundable deposit, which is a limited time offer and not normally offered, but Princess can extend the Love Boat sale or introduce another sale with similar or other perks such a free specialty dinner for 2 as they have in the past. Only Princess knows what their next sale is, sometimes they give Travel Agents a heads up on an upcoming sale or promo.
  10. Hi, currently on Majestic and we had a ‘new’ Loyalty Ambassador join the ship as our last one left when we arrived HNL as her home was in the direct path of IAN and wanted to get back to see if anything is left of her home. When I boarded , I asked the Loyalty Ambassador about the milestone program and she relayed she was told it IS being fazed out. Later in the cruise I spoke to the Director of Restaurant Operations, Neville S. who I know many know. He said he thought the program was just being ‘revised’. Janelle from So. Africa who has been with Princess as Captain Circle host and now as Loyalty Ambassador for over 6 years who boarded today confirmed to me ‘YES’, the milestone program is going bye bye, and official communication regarding this is coming out soon. She also confirmed there is a ‘date’ which has not been share that if booked before this date, Princess will honor the milestone, otherwise no recognition, so @CruzinNoony, you may be out of luck. I do find it interesting to hear in one of the previous posts, passenger reported they reached 1000 days and was told, since partner reached and celebrated 1000 on an earlier sailing, they would not recognize her 1000 milestone. @beg3yrs, 500 days is the first milestone marker and ‘suite breakfast’ is not a milestone ‘perk’ till the ‘750’ and higher level. When the milestone program was first introduce, it was based on ‘cruise credits’ starting with your ‘50th’ and then every 25 and it was not till your ‘75th’, suite breakfast was included. I believe Princess introduced milestones when they were celebrating 50 years and then eventually switched to number of days. As I posted earlier, I am sad and disappointed this program is being dropped.
  11. Yes, it is still there, just used it last night. Show the coupon to the cashier, they will ask if you have played your $20 yet, although heard this may vary on which ship. They will create a $10 receipt and ask if you want table or machine credit. Any other questions?
  12. Is there any specific coupon you are looking for? Gone is the BOGO for specialty dinner first night. There is a new Platinum Studio coupon for a free 8x10, no other purchase required, says $150 value and only 1 per stateroom. Currently on Majestic and guest services has QR code to scan for coupon book. Strange as I just received a link for the coupon book for my upcoming Discovery sailing on 10/22. So it seems it might depend on which ship you are sailing if Princess sends you the link, as I asked my TA and they said they do not know anything about coupon book link.
  13. I believe the one device rate pre cruise is $10/day if you are purchasing for the entire voyage. If you are platinum or higher you get a 50% discount of this rate so $5/day. If you wait till boarding, the rate is higher @$15/day for entire voyage or if you only want 1 day the rate is $20. Being Platinum or above gets you 50% off these rates too. Yes, if you wait till on the ship you can use OBC to pay. Pre cruise, I believe you can use OBC only to purchase shore excursions.
  14. You can easily see if crew appreciation is in your booking by going to the travel summary and scroll down and you will see all ‘perks’ added to your booking with the ‘retail price’ shown. I believe many passengers are not aware of this feature. Look for link saying boarding pass and travel summary when you log in on to website Personalizer. Click on this link the click ‘print travel summary’ . let us know if crew appreciation is listed in you summary.
  15. My guess the reason they want you to take picture is if they need to see again or document and for the safety of the cabin steward if you are positive so they do not need to enter your cabin where floating virus could be present.
  16. A little more info, on Thursday morning, before arriving Tahiti, all passengers had to ‘test’ . I assume the Tahitian authorities were informed of the number of active Covid already on board and if any additional passengers tested positive Thursday morning. Princess has you ‘self’ test in your cabin, with tests provided by Princess, no other comments needed, as I can read your mind. You write down passengers name, date and time test was taken, and with phone or tablet, take picture to show your steward and then you are free to go about your business if negative After docking, no other announcements were made and passengers were allowed to go ashore. It was the next morning, that Tahiti had a change of heart? If they were concerned about the spread of Covid, they already knew the numbers reported from the ship and passengers already flooded their streets the previous day and night. No additional testing was performed, so there was rumor this was a money grab/negotiation tactic by Tahiti. I did notice on day2 when were we allowed to go ashore, there were Tahiti personnel checking to make sure passengers were not taking any food items, fruits , etc. off the ship. This was the only change from day1 arrival.
  17. ?, Princess has not had a charge for printing in a very long time. I have not heard Princess offered ‘Boarding pass printing fee’. Pre-covid, Princess offered a ‘short’ minutes plans for those who just needed a quick log on to check in for flights, etc. As ‘minutes’ are no longer offered and only a voyage or ‘daily/24 hour’ package, I believe this is the only option. Are you returning from Canada where your phone plan does not work? Most airports have free WiFi, so is it possible to wait till then, or check in at the airport? Is it possible to ‘make’ a friend who has internet on the ship to allow you to check in and print your boarding passes. Do you need to print your passes or can you check in online? If you are platinum or higher then you are eligible for 50% off the daily plan which I believe once on board is $15/day.
  18. In case you do not read the link in the previous post. The Majestic Princess was NOT turned away. We arrived Tahiti on Thursday afternoon instead of Thursday morning as scheduled and we were informed a few days earlier about the delay but would be staying an extra overnight and not leave till Saturday afternoon about 5pm. Friday morning we were informed about 7:30am, suspension of leaving the ship was implemented and discussion with the Tahitian authorities was scheduled. By 9am, we were given the all clear that passengers could leave the ship to explore as usual, so, yes for a little while, we were concerned. The official number of Covid cases has not been shared, but I know of a couple passengers who have tested positive and were quarantined and were released from quarantine when they tested negative after 5 days.
  19. It is my understanding the only Princess ships with Concierge Lounges are the ‘Royal Class’ ships. The Diamond is NOT a Royal class and does not have a Concierge Lounge.
  20. My guess to the difference in number of days could possibly be if you had P&O/Sitmar? days that were previously added, but are no longer in deciding MTG counts. Otherwise check your cruise history on Princess and it should have all your past sailings.
  21. To be clear for those who might not have seen/read the relevant post, this $25 ‘Platinum’ perk in the Casino is on Carnival cruises not Princess
  22. I am currently on Majestic for LA to Sydney sailing. The Loyalty Ambassador confirmed the milestone program is being ‘Fazed out’. My sister was just on the Caribbean Princess for the NY to Quebec and back to NY sailings and said passengers celebrating their 500 days milestone were recognized at the Captain circle party. There might be a component of when you booked your sailing and the ‘date’ Princess has set to no longer recognize ‘milestones’ . I feel fortunate that on this sailing they show Milestone redemption in my account and I have been allowed ‘suite’ breakfast access. I feel eliminating this ‘one time’ event for Princess loyal passengers is something I will miss, and will express my displeasure on the survey.
