Even though I would rather be on Jewel, I like the Freedom itinerary better because it includes the ABC islands, including Bonaire.
Thanks Bob.
I'm gonna get 'google' to tell me about the ABC Islands. #NotAClue ... I think I see what you did tho.
TBH it's gonna come down to priceing. Both make stops in new ports for us, both have 1 or 2 repeat stops for us too.
If we switch to Freedom do RC still class that/package that as a B2B even tho there's an overnight in San Juan? Do they organise the one nights hotel and transfers etc?
Thanks again for your knowledge.

Cruises from San Juan will be 7-day cruises on Jewel and Freedom. They alternate itineraries, so you can do a B2B2B starting with the TA and have 3 different itineraries. They should open sometime next week.
Hi. Help.
Jewel TA 2018 and then ...
Stay on Jewel ... http://www.cruisecal.com/portal/ItineraryPrint/tabid/2919/Default.aspx?sailID=RCIJW11/17/2018
Or
1 night in San Juan
Then Freedom ... http://www.cruisecal.com/portal/ItineraryPrint/tabid/2919/Default.aspx?sailID=RCIFR11/18/2018
Not sure which offers the best itinerary.
What do you think?
Thanks.

Great. Thanks Bob.
I will watch out for them next week.

If you take a look at current offerings you'll get a good idea. We're big fans of San Juan cruises as they're able to easily get to the Southern Caribbean with great ports such as Barbados, Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia. You usually only get one sea day - a drawback for some people.
Aaah good thinking never thought to check out this years sailings for an idea. I'm on to that now.
Days at sea don't worry us. We are Transatlantic lovers ... can never have too many sea days.
Thanks.

Hi Guys.
Can I ask the experts on here to do some speculating for me please.
Just booked Jewel's 2018 westbound TA that ends up in San Juan. Typically what kind of cruises are offered from San Juan and how long? I'm think about back to back options.
Oh and when do they open up for sale.
Thanks in advance.

Yikes. That Price??
Brilliance Westbound TA ... Amsterdam, Waterford Ireland, Dublin Ireland, Belfast, Cork, Ponta Delgada, Tampa.
Starting from £952.00pp inside stateroom.
Will be giving this a miss. Not interested in the stops or the price.

I just checked May 2018 and there are NO Navigator cruises listed.
Navigator has May 2018 sailings showing on the Uk site ... but I can only see these two sailings ...
14 Night Med sailing ... 13 May 2018
7 Night Northern Europe ... 27 May 2018
-
I was told a few minutes ago via a RCL Rep that he just received an email update. He read it aloud and it stated that additional sail dates would be available by 1pm EST today. Although it did not specify what ships etc.
Also... was told the Serenade's 7 day European sail dates start May 28th because the two previous weekly cruises (5/14 & 5/21) were Chartered and bookings were closed.
Thanks. So thats what .. just under 4 hours?

Any ideas what's happening with Jewel and Brilliance TAs ... ideally westbound 2018.
I'm not a very patient person ha ha.
-
Alex...how do you get onto the US site? Every time I try it throws be back onto the UK site!
Same used to happen to me but then someone on here gave me this link .. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/en.html?wuc=us which always (up to now anyways) seems to work.

Also Brilliance and Independence are due from dry dock in 2018 . that's why their sailings are currently out through March. I think they will hit dry dock before their TAs
I didn't know this.
Is it just a touch up dry dock?
We're looking at TA sailings westbound, so Oct/Nov 2018.
Waiting patiently.

I'm waiting to see info on Brilliance's and Jewel's westbound TAs for the end of 2018.
I guess I'm gonna be waiting a while.

Thanks for the quick response - Any ideas on when this will go on sale?
I'm hoping that the sailings including the one you're interested will be released this week. That seemed to be the general thought amongst all the guys on here. So far the only ship that's opened it's sailings is Symphony.
Keep checking back on here throughout the day. Some of the guys on here are amazing with their updates and spot on info. You'll hear it here first.

Hi,
Sorry this is the first time I'm looking to cruise in 2018 so please excuse me if I'm asking a question that's been asked a hundred times! Does anybody know if the Independence of the Seas - Fort Lauderdale to Southampton that's leaving on the 13th April 2017 will have a similar sail in April of 2018?
Thanks
I'm gonna guess that its very likely. Hasn't been much change in the last couple of years.
-
Morning.
When are all the other sailings due to be released?
Checked out the prices for Symphony and I'm not tempted. Whilst the thought of a new ship is appealing, personally I'll take a better deal with a better itinerary on one of the older ladies.
-
Hi,
Can someone please recap what we know about Symphony's TA.
Where do we expect it to depart from and when?
I read predictions about a TA on 4th November 2018 but what is gonna happen in the gap from mid october to then?
Are we now expecting this to be released this week too?
It's making my head hurt ha ha.
-
When do we expect them to release Symphony's TA to Miami or wherever she is headed?
-
I'm confused.
Currently looking at an Empress Sailing, and looking at Oceanview Staterooms.
For the Tampa - Havana - Cozumel cruise which side of ship do you guys think is best or will it not matter.
Also category 'SO' is being described as Superior Ocean View yet on the deck plan it is Small Ocean View. Info for the room does show the size as being the smallest.
Should I go for regular Oceanview and what category do you suggest?
Thanks.
-
Just curious...what is the appeal of a TA? Is it that it's a long voyage, with lots of time to spend on the ship?
Pretty much.
Lots of chilled out sea days relaxing.
One other plus for us, which I appreciate isn't a plus for everyone ... very few kids.

My partner and I sailed on Vision last April. Our first time on this class of ship.
When we booked we were concerned about this being the oldest and smallest RC ship we'd sailed on.
I honestly can tell you we need not have worried.
We loved the ship, the crew ... everything. Yes its smaller but not tiny and we never felt cramped. We both commented on it being the best dining room experience we've had so far, in terms of service from the waiters. Everyone has different standards for food. We left happy every night.
There are no ice shows or aqua shows but I'm sure you can cope without them. Entertainment was good, although the RC singers were not the best we've seen. Think someone strangling a cat and you're nearly there :(
We had Captain Marek. Really nice guy. An amazing and approachable Captain!
Don't stress about it. I'm sure you'll have a fab time.

Imagine if every Crown and Anchor member brought along a friend or two to the priority check in line.

Hi.
Sailed on the IOS TA sailing last month.
We called at St Maarten, St Thomas, St Kitts, San Juan and Labadee.
I don't usually suffer from bites BUT I got bitten once in St Kitts and twice in San Juan. Labadee was our last call .. I didn't get bitten but I was swimming in repellent.
I would take/use some just in case. If you're anything like me bites will drive you crazy. Hate them.
Deployment 2018-19 booking season begins

Why the hold up with Freedom from San Juan?
Bored now of this drip drip release process.
Get on with it already.
