I have forgotten if Allure has the s burnt bathroom lights at night so you don’t have to turn the light on. I know Wonder does, and, I think, Harmony. But can’t remember Allure.

Jumbo, I forgot who I was replying to and gave you info on AAA in Jacksonville. That would have been a little out of your way. 😄 The triptik if it is exactly like the one the office prints, will have a turn by list as well as the route on pages and pages of map sections. I prefer the turn by turn list, myself.

My husband asked me if any of you guys have found anything to recommend. I passed on some of the shoes y’all have talked about and he enjoyed them. BD would not appeal. Survivor is as reality as he gets.

If you are a AAA member, there’s no charge for the maps or the routing. I went to the beach office to get mine, and the girl (woman?) did the Triptik and handed me the maps. She did not highlight the route, which is something that has always been done before. I think I was disturbing her lazy afternoon. That office is on A1A in Ponte Vedra just north of 210. There’s one on Southside Blvd (SR 115) south of Beach Blvd (US 90). If you go to a local AAA office, you can ask for any maps, like if Jax, if you come for a taste of the city 😄 None are open on weekends. Iv you come to Southside Blvd, lunch at Terra Gaucha which is in the area, is wonderful. Brazilian Steak House.

I’m impressed by your climbing that tower. My acrophobia would have kept me from doing it, even if my lungs and legs wouldn’t! Great views, though!

I love our GPS, but am also a map lover. There’s nothing like being able to see alternate routes or places to visit just a few miles off your route.

Thank you. Yes, we’re doing the Turnpike both ways. I’ve gotten new maps from AAA so I’ll spread the Northeastern one out on the dining room table and find the route. Dick lets me navigate and I take complete advantage to go where I want to go. Like going over the Golden Gate into San Francisco and then over the Oakland Bay Bridge to continue from the coast to Trucker. I just wanted to be in San Francisco one more time.

I think flying to TS concerts not once, not twice, but three times is beyond crazy, but that doesn’t stop our DIL and her friends. My DS stopped after two. He was afraid he’d have to turn in his man card.

Where is Vincent’s Diner? We’ll be stopping somewhere in NJ on our way home from Maine. Dick would rather eat in a diner than just about any other restaurant.

I wish her the best in her nursing career. It’s a hard job and I’m grateful to all who are willing to help us all by being nurses.

Why is it Mystery Island? How far from Sydney is it, and is it inhabited? The photos are beautiful. It looks like a marvelous place to just wander and ponder!

I have to share my great grandchildren with you. My twin granddaughters are hospital RNs. Kayla is a Labor and Delivery nurse. She had to work Mother’s Day. She got a message to go down to the lobby, where her husband and sons Ledger and Colton surprised her. Her sister Kristina works in a pediatric hospital and also worked Mother’s day. Her husband sent her a photo on her phone of two year old Sage waiting on the stairs for her mother to come home.

He was so right. I’ve always had chicken legs included, but I have only had paella made by an Ecuadorian. Did you get to Queen Sophia’s museum? I was awed by Picasso’s Guernica there. Madrid is so different from Barcelona.

Years ago, I was driving from Florida to Cincinnati to visit a longtime friend. Another friend invited herself to go with me, although she had never met Nancy. I put a Barbra Streisand CD in and my friend immediately said she wasn’t going with me if I played that CD. She said “I despise her” and when I asked why, she said because of her politics. Rather than have to drive her back home, I took the CD out. Looking back, I’m sorry I caved. I should have dropped her at the nearest Greyhound station! Talented people have a gift to offer. I’m not going to let their personal opinions keep me from enjoying their gift.

I’m way behind again, do I just saw it. It’s very likely a true story!
