I am going to call delta and try to charm them into switching our flights. Fingers crossed.
You shouldn't have to charm them. Because they made the change after you booked you should be able to switch for free.

There has been many dance type parties in many places during the evenings. Theme nights (inside) and general deck parties most nights.
Buy the fun pass before boarding. It's $80 and you get $140 to spend in the Hall of games, pool hall and robotron. The "rides" range from $6 to $12. Most are $10 & $12 per experience for a 3 to 5 minute "ride". There have been almost no lines every time my son has gone.
How much are the pool tables?

I guess your question hit my mind before I read your post. So as not to discourage the YC deck hand from his quest of identifying YC interlopers DW had me give her extra tip money to encourage him to continue his quest. He caught 20 interlopers yesterday.
This is mind blowing to me. That is a lot of people getting in that shouldn't. If the YC seaband is the issue, they should be taken away from the guilty parties(the YC members themselves) immediately and not returned. And that should go for every person in that cabin. Multiple infractions should be penalized with removal from the ship.

Thank you for sharing your experienc and thoughts on RC! So sorry it did not work out for you. We have no brand loyalty in cruise world, but for us Royal and Celebrity worked out best. Before and after the pandemic. To us it was very appealing that Royal just had their act together in practically every aspect.
And as for Nassau: it must have been you guys who kept banging on the balcony railings with hammers on the aft starboard side 😉 that was loud! Jokes aside, they must have been renovating aft cabins...
Thanks again for your comments, you and other fellow cruisers almost talked us into giving MSC another chance 😉
Cheers, Merry Christmas y'all!
Don't give up on MSC after one cruise, especially an inaugural one. Our first cruise with them was a 12 day on Divina in Yacht Club in 2018. It was fantastic. I rarely have a problem with food anywhere(unless it is cold) because my philosophy any food that I don't have to cook myself is good food. 🙂
Do you have a Yacht Club only video coming? We will be on Seascape at the end of March in 19003. We're looking forward to it. Watching as many videos as we can find. I tend to take reviews with a grain of salt as they are very based on each person's tastes. While they provide some value, I'm looking for details on the ship(like the elevators) so I know what I'm doing when I board.
Merry Christmas!!

I would prefer if people made their comments here and not just provide a link to their You Tube channel

So you're both completely ignoring the fact that he also included comments in the post with the video and has followed up with comment throughout this post. Give the guy a little bit of credit.

We use the Discover on all of our cruises, even our last MSC cruise. The issue is that MSC is declaring the card number incorrect before it even gets submitted through discover. The error in the picture happens with every card I enter.
-
The error I got is that the service was unavailable. Also, even though they say they accept Discover, the web page says the card number is invalid
-
We are also on Seascape in March(26th). Having the same issue. We'll just register it onboard.
-
We will also be on SeaScape in March(March 26). We did a 12 day on the MSC Divina in 2018 and it was phenomenal. The ship was the most beautiful ship we've been on. We've sailed Royal and NCL prior. We did Yacht Club in 2018 and will be doing it again this sailing. Well worth the price.

Anyone hear any updates for Nov yet? I’m still seeing the testing requirements have not been announced yet in the app. Nothing like RC and CDC waiting until last minute. Hopefully it means CSO will actually expire.
I just received emails to book tests for my kids for Nov. 7 out of Miami, so it seems that protocol will stay

You will hear before I hear (possibly). Please post ASAP when you do hear something!
Will do! I would anticipate whatever applies to my cruise will also apply to yours(all of November sailings).

We are sailing Nov. 7(20 days) and still no official word. Not expecting much to change, at the very least there won't be more restrictions so we're assuming we'll need testing.

I'm logged in on chrome on my pc, but on my android tablet&phone I can't get the login page to pop up. clicking the login link does nothing. Cleared cache and cookies.
-
Do you have to schedule the 2yo's test? I thought that was just a part of your check-in process. You check-in and then are taken to get the kids tested. I'm curious because we're sailing on Oasis November 7 with a 5yo and 2yo who will both need tests.
-
We booked ship excursions so that our kids(5 and 2) can enjoy the islands. The options are there if you really want them(except Nassau?)

Different testing standards for unvaxxed kids such as no antigen allowed so make sure you read up on test requirements.
This isn't correct. Antigen is allowed for kids now.

Sailing on a Saturday, testing on Thursday.
Or Friday or Saturday....not Wednesday or before

I would say no because they are asking for tests 2 days prior. If done 2 days prior I don't see why they would not accept it.
Weird thing is at the RCCL Dock in MIAMI last week they had a mobile COVID-19 test site set up in same area. I took a photo just in case anyone wanted to call and see what the deal is.
They specifically say "taken no more than 2 days before boarding day." So you can also take the test Day 1 and day 0(except kids, they specifically say NOT to get the test the day of boarding).

now i get this email..very whacky since theres been zero changes to my reservation
This email is to let you know that we’ve cancelled your requested RoyalUp upgrade due to a change in your reservation.
I received that email today as well. I never made any changes to my reservation. I had to re-bid.
-
I never received an email. I googled Royalup, went to the webpage, logged in, and it let me bid. I don't know if it works for everyone or if it means I was getting the email anyways.

Use the same link with which you bid.
Every one of my bids for our Nov. 7 sailing(Oasis) says pending....do I get all of the rooms? 😄

RCI will likely provide lots of transition time before implementation - probably at least two months.
If I recall there wasn't much transition when 12+ vaccines were approved.
