  1. They were left in the mail slot, not in the cabin, on our April Celebration cruise. Worked for us! 😀
  2. No, you just forgot. Happens to everyone. 😀
  3. To me it seems like the bartenders get a percentage of each drink they pour, so they're charging what they think you will pay. Not fact, just an observation. 😎
  4. Karry, you won't be able to print your boarding pass until you complete your check in. 😀
  5. Thanks for your kind words. We try to pass along as much information as we can with both words and pictures, along with keeping it fun and interesting. It's posts like yours that make it all worthwhile! 😎
  6. Lee our Cruise Director made the announcement that at 9:30am the Valiant Lady would be docking next to us, and that debarkation would be halted for about 45 minutes, so if you need to get off the ship, go now! This also happens a lot in Grand Turk. When the second ship comes into dock, they stop letting the people on the first ship get off until the second ship is securely docked.
  7. Thanks for reading and for your kind words. 😎 Thanks Barb! Not my favorite food but I enjoy it. 😎
  8. Not nearly enough! Let me practice my mantra. "All will know ..... when the time is right " 😁
  9. I know things. I am part of the secret society of those that have actually met the man, and can verify that he exists! Sort of like the Freemasons of the cruising world! 😁
  10. Yep! I'll be starting later today or tomorrow. Have to finish uploading those pictures to our hosting site. 😎
  11. Thanks! We are really looking forward to January's cruise. It will be great to finally meet so many of the Cruise Critic family! 😀
  12. Here is the General Debarkation information…… Here is the Diamond Debarkation information….. We are supposed to meet at Center Stage at 8am for Priority Luggage Debarkation, but at 7am Cruise Director Lee said that in addition to all those doing Self Assist that could now leave, those with Priority Luggage could also leave. That’s us! So, we said goodbye to our room steward Gilbert, giving him an extra tip for a job well done, and then made our way downstairs. All elevators going down were packed, so we got into an up elevator then rode it back down to Deck 6. You got to do what you have to do! In no time at all we were off the ship and heading to baggage claim. Patti took these shots of Terminal “F” as we walked by….. Once in baggage claim it took a few minutes to locate all of our luggage, but once we had them getting a porter was no problem at all….. Because we had passports, we were able to quickly get out of the building by going through facial recognition. Those without passports had to go through a long winding line to personally see an agent before they could leave. If there is any reason at all to get a passport, this is it! Our porter took our luggage all the way to the second level of Parking Lot “G” and loaded up our car for us. You can bet that we tipped him well! We paid for our parking as we left ($154). Once out of the parking garage, we just followed the signs to the tunnel…… This was our last look at the Celebration until January….. Here we are entering the tunnel. When we exited on the other side, we said goodbye to the Port of Miami…… By 8am we were getting on I-95 North to continue our journey…… This concludes the cruise portion of our review. As you know, our reviews run from door to door as we like to document our entire vacation. We will be heading up to Orlando for five days. After that is completed, we will give our final thoughts on the Carnival Celebration. Thanks for being a part of our journey!! To be continued…..
  13. Day # 8 - (4/23/23) - Debarkation & Heading to Orlando. All good things must come to an end. We were up at 5:30am, just as the Carnival Celebration was pulling into her berth at Terminal “F”. It’s going to be a beautiful sunny day. Here are some early morning Miami views….. The Carnival Horizon is pulling into Terminal “D”….. Here comes the LNG barge to refuel the Celebration….. The sun is coming up over Miami Beach….. To be continued…..
  14. Team Miracle Whip and I must have missed it as well!
  15. Today is the Platinum & Diamond VIFP Party. Since you only get one glass of wine, we don’t attend the party on this class of ships….. You do get a voucher for a free drink up to $11 loaded onto your Sail & Sign card. Patti and I head over to the Alchemy Bar to redeem ours and stay for a couple of more. Afterwards, we head back to our cabin to relax and begin our packing. The laundry that Patti sent out yesterday has come back...... Soon we were seeing the last sunset of the cruise…… Around 7:30pm we decided to head up to the Pig & Anchor for dinner. When we checked in, they told us that it would be a 45-minute wait, so we decided to just head up to the Marketplace. Patti made herself a salad, and I had the sliced roast beef with gravy, fried shrimp, and a baked potato. Not bad at all. After we ate, we got an ice cream by the Tides Bar, and then took one last slow walk around the ship. We decided to call it a cruise, went back to the cabin, finished our packing, and put our bags out in the hallway. I’m not going to post the sad photo here, but here’s our final towel animal of the cruise….. Coming up next: A smooth debarkation, and heading to Orlando!
  16. I met Patti for the Q & A with Lee in the Grand Spectrum Theater. It was a very entertaining and informative half hour. Afterwards, we decided to head to Bonsai Sushi for lunch. Here’s the menu again….. The Sushi Chefs are hard at work….. I’m enjoying my sake sangria….. Patti starts out with edamame, and I have some tuna and shrimp sashimi….. We both have the miso soup and a green salad….. Patti is enjoying her California rolls….. I have the yakitori beef skewers….. We always enjoy our meals at Bonsai Sushi. As we left, we saw that a group of officers had a table at Bonsai Teppanyaki. Good for them! To be continued……
  17. After The Wave I made my way to the Empress Casino to play some more blackjack. I picked up the $60 in casino free play that we had won at Deal or no Deal, and lost that, and a couple of hundred more in a relatively short time. Thanks to Drinks on Us, and a very attentive bar waiter, it didn’t feel so bad. Lol. Afterwards, I went up to the Red Frog Tiki Bar and hung out for a while and watched the Groove for St. Jude. In the meantime, Patti had gone to the Grand Spectrum Theater to watch the Debarkation Talk given by Lee….. Patti stayed for the Magical Mystery Show starring Manoj, who is the table magician aboard the Celebration…… He did a variety of tricks. Patti said that she really enjoyed his show, and would highly recommend it….. Lee was in attendance getting video for his vlog….. To be continued……
  18. Day # 7 - (4/22/23) - Fun Day at Sea # 3. We were up at 7am for our last day on the Celebration this cruise. It’s going to be another beautiful sunny day, and again the seas are calm…… Here is the view from our balcony looking forward and aft, as the Celebration heads back to Miami…… Here are today’s Fun Times……. Again, we decided not to eat breakfast, but of course I went down to Java Blue for my morning coffee. Today I got my free one! Around 9:30am I made my way down to Center Stage to get our seats for the Morning Show (The Wave). I’m sure glad that I beat the crowds! Lol…… Patti peeked into the Limelight Lounge where the first trivia game of the day was underway….. The Wave is once again hosted by Lee and Marcella….. Here are today’s guests, and of course they are there to drum up sales….. To be continued……
  19. Looking forward to following along once again. Love the Pride!
  20. Hey Amanda! Thanks for reading. Though the Horizon is a nice ship, I think you made the right choice. Besides, we'll also be on the Celebration on January 14th with a bunch of our Cruise Critic friends. If you spot us stop by and say hello! 😀
  21. Thanks Barb! I'll be posting more today. Sorry you didn't get the result you wanted. 😎
