  1. Has anyone ordered an Irish Coffee (or other liquer coffee I guess)? Does it require the Ultimate package due to needing the Premium Coffee element? Or is it just another alcoholic beverage.

    Thanks :)

I had the premium package ordered a Irish coffee in the MDR one night I noticed a charge AND a credit on my account. So they charged me but then credited it back. Also it was kind of a milky Irish coffee. It did not have the full separation of coffe/cream.

  2. But...I don't think they use "premium coffee" with an Irish coffee; that's just a coffee, right?

Irish coffee is normal coffee with a shot of Irish whiskey and brown sugar stired in. Yes you HAVE to have sugar then you float heavy cream on top. If you don't have enough sugar the density of the liquid will not let you float the cold heavy cram on top. To float it you put a spoon right at the level of the coffee and slowly pour the cream into the spoon and it will float on top.:cool:

  3. That's what I did on Radiance. Despite Guest Relations agreeing with me that the printout indicated I could pay the top up on wine over the package limit, the Bar Manger would have none of it. Interestingly though, he did agree the top up applied to spirits, so the Johnnie Walker Blue story above would have had a happy ending on Radiance.

Just got an email response back only took 2 weeks but it is a few days before my cruise so all is good.

OK here is what they said.

In regard to your inquiry, if you purchase a beverage package and want to order a glass of wine for more than the alloted amount the package allows for, you will then pay the difference between what the package offers and the cost of the wine if you were to purchase it individually.

    Hope this helps:D:beer:

  4. Well have not gotten a reply from my email so I called customer service. That have added a note to my reservation so if I have a problem I have reservation note backups.

OK per customer service if you purchased the premium package and if you order a cocktail for 12.00 it will cost you 2.00 the difference between the 10.00 limit. And If you order a 15.00 glass of wine it will cost you the 3.00 differance from the 12.00 limit that you are allowed with the package.

So we shall see when I cruise the 8th. I will order a glass of wine over the limit just to see.

  5. Is anyone able to let me know if a scotch & coke or bourbon & coke is included in the premium or ultimate package and also are hot chocolates available in the packages from lattetudes ?

Yes scotch/bourbon and coke you can get. As if there is a certain brand you want it depends is they carry it onboard. Also not all your top shelf liquors are included in the premium call drinks. But if what you want is above 10.00 all you pay is any amount over 10.00. Check above for the link to the FAQ that covers that so if you have a problem you are prepared. As for the Hot Chocolate no clue.

Thanks I screen captured the information so if I have problems I can have something to argue with.

  7. It was a regular old grocery store that I worked in. I actually preferred working in the "quick check" line because I could get people through the line quickly without having to bag a lot of groceries. Again, there were always people who simply did not understand how to operate in public and follow the rules.

If I remember correctly most of those post were tongue in cheek. But some don't understand that type of humor

  8. This is an issue I find concerning. Cruise ships (newer builds) all seem to have moved the life boats outside the boundary of the actual ship creating what I would call an obstructed view. Just came back from Epic and I expected a beautiful view from my up scale Mini Suite. It was actually a view of the top of a life boat. Not a single balcony other than aft suites have what I would call a beautiful unobstructed view. The ship actually lacked a promenade due to those same lifeboats blocked the view and created a very industrial feel with no interaction for those who like to be close to the water and feel connected to the sea. Am I out on a limb by myself?

So just wondering if you are complaining so we can point out your post as a weird cimplaint.

  9. It would be helpful if someone could post some pictures of the drink and wine menus. I am interested in types of wine and prices for the beer and wine package so that we can sample some before purchasing.

Not going to post a photo but on the Oasis a friend took a photo of the Globe and Atlas pub menu the highest priced drink was 9.50 for a James Bond martini. A crown royal old fashion was 8.25. Also did a search for Royal Caribbean cocktail menu came up with the following page. I gave it a glance and it should be what you want.

  10. NO... just someone who thinks they need talk down to people, without knowing all the facts. See it on this sight all too frequently.

I use the CC app I don't see if you have sailed 1 or 100 cruises by your signature that does not show up. Not everyone put all their cruises in their sig. And if they do it doesn't mean they REALLY went on all that are in their sig. Talk down to people no just try to help but I have noticed how YOU talk to people and what you assume others motives are. I have a cousin who is diamond plus on 3 or 4 different cruise lines yet she isn't on CC and if she just signed up does that mean she knows nothing.

As for me I try and give advice per policy. Not what I was able to get away with. If I am at fault for anything is to try and give good advice and to point out others advice that goes against policy.

We would not even be having these "cat fight" post if I had not of posted that you might not have known about the 2 per stateroom and that there could be more than 2 adults in a stateroom. As previously stated by your lack of sig. On the CC app I have no way of knowing if you have been on more than 1 cruise.

As for me I am done with replying back to you. So go ahead and post how I think I am better than everyone and condescending.

  11. Thank you Anthony, for stating the obvious. I also understand I was told by security at the port one per person per room. Each ship has their own interpretation to policies.

There was no reason to be condescending in your response. JUST REPEATING WHAT I WAS TOLD. So sorry.

Hmm. Stating the obvious. Well no not really. There was absolutely no way for me to know that you knew the policy.

Being condescending in my response. Well no I was just trying to point out that you might not know the policy and that more than 2 adults can be in the same stateroom. And that could be where the misunderstanding was coming from.

But I do like your attitude that would assume I was condescending rather than trying to be helpful.

Btw what one person on one ship at one port on one sailing might let you getaway with doesn't mean that the same or different person on the same ship at the same port on the next sailing will. So better to follow policy that way when more than 2 adults in the same stateroom each bring a bottle they don't have a problem or have the extra confiscated. And that isn't being condescending either just stating the obvious. :banghead:

  12. On Allure, in October, one bottle per person, per cabin. B2B you can bring two per person, and they hold the two extra.. Unless it has changed in the last 60 days..

Umm hmm you do know that a stateroom CAN have more than 2 adults or people in them. If not then that is the confusion and why people say only 2 per stateroom instead of 1 per person.
