  1. Symphony because it is close to Vines. I like to grab a glass of wine to take in with me so there is less chance I'll spill any walking to dinner.
  2. I have not been happy with the locations of my bid upgrades. Seems I always get stuck under a public area and it is loud! Lots of chairs moving at all hours. I have decided to no longer bid and just apply that money towards bumping up to Premier from Plus.
  3. I'm pleased with the changes because now I don't have to pay for venues I used to pay for, such as Ocean Terrace! It's really made it a more inclusive experience for me!
  4. Being from Texas, you probably already know we have some weird liquor laws. Something to note going out of Galveston, if you do have a drink package, it can not be used for adult beverages until after leaving TX waters. Princess does give a $25 credit to those with a drink package to balance it out. Also, TX only allows Princess limited alcohol options while in port.
  5. Thank you for the information. I've been wondering if they would open the Salty Dog for lunch as that is the only time I want to try it and now that it is included with Premier, even better! That said, it isn't even an option on my upcoming cruises anyway but I am super excited to now have Ocean Terrace included! The latest changes are actually saving me money!!
  6. you can still grab items from International Cafe and bring them over. Just a few steps away and I think better than the tapas were.
  7. I disagree with people saying this is nickel and diming. Of all the dining locations now categorized as Casual Dining, Alfredo's/Gigi's is the only one that was complementary before. All the others had a charge. Now if you have a fare package, all those locations are included, either twice with the Plus or unlimited with Premier. To me, this is making all these options more inclusive and I like it!
  8. We all have different priorities. Some of the Grand class ships do have Casual Dining options. Grand and Sapphire have a reduced Alfredo's menu, Crown, Emerald, and Ruby have Salty Dog, Vines is on the Caribbean, Crown, Emerald, Grand, Ruby, and Sapphire, Diamond has Kai Sushi, and Planks and Steamers are offered on Caribbean and Emerald.
  9. Yeah, it has been hit or miss the last few cruises I've been on. But each cruise has evolved a little more. I'm hopeful that some of my favorites will return to a more consistent level!
  10. And they were teeny tiny and I usually only enjoyed half of the plate. You can always walk a few steps over to the international Cafe and get something that pleases you for free! I always have. The beet salad is a huge favorite, as well as the chicken salad. I've also been able to get a personal cheese plate. So many free options!
  11. I was purchasing premier before all of this anyway so im just focused on the positives. Makes life more enjoyable!
  12. Based on kiwimum's photo above, I think it is a huge improvement from before and I'm certain I'll enjoy it!
  13. I'd like to see Salty Dog open for lunch too.
  14. What do you mean by no choice at all? I see plenty of choices! With Ocean Terrace, I see 8 Nigiri options and 7 Maki options. On a week long cruise, I could eat there every day and have something different each day!
  15. I've been upgrading to Premier on the last several cruises. It was initially for the better wine options but the most recent changes have made it a complete no brainer. I feel like I'm getting even more unexpected benefits out of it!
  16. I'm a glass half full gal. I'm focusing on all the places that I used to pay extra for that are now included. I definitely plan to enjoy lots of Ocean Terrace offerings next month with no extra charge! And I'm excited for the new offerings at Vines!
  17. I was on the Island in the Fall. We would grab pizza upstairs after gambling late and we also had some food delivered to us in Crooners late. I was also on the Ruby this winter and actually preferred the food on the Ruby in the MDR but the hot dogs upstairs on the Island have been the best I've had so far on Princess.
  18. OH, I love a good spreadsheet!!! I think the biggest things for me with Premier, the specialty dinners (especially since they have gone up in price) and I like the expensive wine! If there is a Vines on the ship, it definitely is a no brainer for me to go with Premier. Could I just pay the difference, sure, but I also really value not having a bill at the end of the cruise!
  19. As I've stated in the numerous other threads on this exact topic, yes it is. Actually, I find even more value in the Premier fare.
  20. Not true, actually! I used to pay for sushi at Ocean Terrace and now it will be included. And I booked the premier fare for my next cruise on the Regal so I won't have a limit of how many times I can enjoy the sushi either!
  21. Based on some of the shareholder slanted threads here, there are a lot of people on CC who are not shareholders.
  22. Sounds like maybe they gave you a new Circle number. Do you happen to have your original Circle number? They can just merge them. If you don't have it, I bet they can find it for you.
  23. One of my friends follows the theory of: if whisky is spelled with 'ey' then it can have ice but if it is only spelled with 'y' then NO ice!
  24. There have been several non-drinkers who have stated otherwise. They said with the specialty coffees, bottled water, mocktails, in addition to the gratuities and wifi, it has definitely been of value to them even though they don't drink alcohol. So maybe hold the blanket statement. The Plus or Premier FARE might not be good for you but it is for many other people, whether they drink alcohol or not. Remember it is a FARE that includes several items, not just adult beverage.
