Are you planning any time in Venice pre/post cruise? If so, and you have time, find a tour that takes you to the Murano at the very minimum of island tours. The glass blowing is fascinating to watch, and you will probably find things you want to take home.

On the waiting list for Japanese BBQ tonight (where you cook at your table). So good! If anyone goes to Vegas and is willing to go off-strip for a meal, we highly recommend this place, 888 Japanese. The wait list is done through Yelp, but it works if you watch it closely, and they do not close until midnight.

Bought internet for our next two cruises. Annoyed with the pricing, which is a component of why we are switching cruise lines. Princess covers drinks, wifi, and grats for less than the cost of drinks on Carnival.
On our third bottle of sake, which bodes well for a vacation weekend. I just wish we could get the volleyball game without purchasing EPSN+. I already pay for a boatload of stations.
P guessed the surprise of the game, but that isn't a big deal since it helps plan the rest of the trip. We plan to be down there at least 1 hour before to catch all of the pregame events, if not earlier, since we already have to pay for event parking.

Managed to get switched to the nonstop flight arriving 2.5 hours earlier.

Going to our first pro hockey game on Monday in Vegas. We have been to USHL and college games several times, but never pro. P doesn't know yet and I'm hoping to keep it a surprise until we head to the game.

And with the cold weather comes the alert that the pressure in your tires is low.
This is why we now put nitrogen in our tires. Less fluctuation, especially during the winter.

Made our first reservation on Princess for 2025. Oddly enough, on the Regal but out of Southampton to Ireland and Scotland with a chance to see the northern lights.

My tentative thoughts for today…. go float in the Retreat pool for a while, Alfredo’s for lunch, afternoon nap, party tonight. Champagne Waterfall at 6:30. There’s a production show, but I kinda wanna watch MNF at Mermaid’s Tail.
Go with MNF. It should be a good game, and hopefully, the Chiefs can win.

I forgot how strong the AC is at this hotel. It was incredible when it was triple digits in July. Nice and frosty. Doesn’t need to work nearly as hard tonight, but it’s a meat locker in here. (I’m the meat. Me.)

I have some tinnitus going on in my right ear from my cold. If this was an all the time thing, it would drive me crazy. I really need my ear to pop.

Yikes! Colton had his 3rd grade music assembly this evening, so I’m actually putting on makeup and trying to look decent. Since I work from home, I can “bum” it most days. I haven’t put on real pants since Halloween. And nothing fits… thanks gallbladder. I usually vary by about 5 lbs. my wardrobe wasn’t prepared for a 12 lb swing. 🥴
Also, this is what was sent out for this performance. I’m suppose to have my 8 year old son pick his favorite Taylor Swift “era” and have him dress accordingly?! I’ll just be surprised IF he actually sings instead of just standing there the whole time.
Pick Red and Yellow for the Kelce Era.

We actually kinda love Spirit when we can get Big Front Seat.Spirit doesn't fly from here. If we have to travel to get a better flight, it won't be for Spirit.

I got sick after our trip. It started the day after we flew, the good news is that I do not have Covid, but the sore throat from my cold sucks.

I have preferred airlines, but I will use most options (not Spirit or Frontier). We are looking into Air New Zealand for our Australia trip because of their skycouch option.

Fly in and out of FLL instead. You can get roundtrip on Delta for $303 and not be stuck at the airport all day on the return leg.

My husband is mentally ill. He ran the NYC marathon yesterday (not his first rodeo) and got hit with some gastro issues. From mile 13-23 he had to stop 4 times before finally calling it and not finishing. I just got a text that he signed up for a local half next weekend as his "redemption tour." He's all I need to finish something I'm like ...you just finished a half plus ten miles yesterday. What am I missing here? 🧐🧐🧐
My mom is a runner. She once did the Goofy Challenge at Disney World, a half marathon one day and a whole marathon the next. I think she is down to just halfs now.
I have another friend who will participate in the Dopey Challenge in January. That is a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon over the three days. Runners be crazy.

I’m doing my normal Sunday excursion deep dive. And I’m running into the problem I always run into. Trunk Bay excursions are so short, but I always feel like doing it on our own leaves too much room for error. We are in St. Thomas from 7-4. Back onboard time will be 3:30. I’m not gonna be a pier runner for y’all. Definitely re-visiting the Magen’s Bay idea. We’ve never been there. I’m not a fan of how few “concession” options there are. Still processing everything. With 70 days to go, I’m ready for a beach day. 😆
We went to Jost Van Dyke (Soggy Dollar) during an 8-hour St. Thomas stop.

Venice. It's one of the few places that I would go back and do again. Other places, we are to the point of feeling that we are chasing past experiences.
