thepie Posted August 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2018 Has anyone signed up for this? What do they serve in the PG breakfast? Do you get to go to the Neptune Lounge?
Old As Dirt Mom Posted August 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2018 In my experience, and to the best of my knowledge, unless you are actually booked in a full suite (Neptune and Pinnacle suites), the suite amenities package will not provide access to either the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast, or the Neptune Lounge. catl331 Posted August 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2018 HAL site says: Suite Amenities Package (for all Suites, excluding Neptune Suites) — prices starting at $289.00 includes complimentary laundry and pressing; Holland America bathrobe with monogram of choice; in-stateroom High Tea or daily canapés; fresh flowers; special VIP debarkation procedures; special VIP debarkation lounge; Pillows a la Carte Menu; initial stateroom beverage setup; $50 Beverage Card; Pinnacle Grill dinner No mention of Neptune Lounge or PG breakfast (which is the same menu as MDR anyway)
knittinggirl Posted August 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2018 No Neptune lounge at all. Pinnacle grill only on departure morning. No special departure lounge when we booked it in the Rotterdam in 2016. We didn’t get the afternoon tea. We either ordered it too soon, or too late. We also didn’t get the bathrobes. They did give us a nominal credit for them. They would have cost more if we bought them outright, than the measly credit we got. Laundry was fabulous, and initial beverage was two bottles of wine, and two bottles of liquor. All full sized. From a specific list. bjarrett7 Posted August 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2018 So if it excludes Neptune suites, who is it for? Vista and Signature suites?? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Alberta Quilter Posted August 18, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2018 So if it excludes Neptune suites, who is it for? Vista and Signature suites?? Sent from my iPhone using Forums It's for any other category, including inside cabins. The reason Neptune Suites are excluded is that some of the perks, like laundry, are already included in NS perks. There is a different package for those in a Neptune Suite. Stratheden Posted August 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2018 Starting at $289. Does it depend on the length if your cruise. Has anybody taken it for a 26 days cruise? If so, how much did it cost? We are in an SS and i am trying to work out whether it is cheaper to just buy the laundry package and pay for drinks and a Pinnacle Grill dinner. Chocolatemom2 Posted August 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Where exactly on HAL website did you find this? We have a vista suite booked, and this sounds like it,might be worth it. Although we are on a 12 night cruise, Would that make a difference?

OVgirl Posted August 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 19, 2018 We were able to book the Suite amenities package for only one of us a few years back. We didn't want 2 bathrobes, so asked about single pricing. It's possible that it will vary depending who takes your call. The other amenities remain the same, 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of liquor, canapes, etc. When you book the double for 2 people, you do not get more wine or alcohol. Actually, I thought the amenities for a Signature Suite were kind of skimpy, other than a much larger cabin.
knittinggirl Posted August 20, 2018 #13 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Starting at $289. Does it depend on the length if your cruise. Has anybody taken it for a 26 days cruise? If so, how much did it cost? We are in an SS and i am trying to work out whether it is cheaper to just buy the laundry package and pay for drinks and a Pinnacle Grill dinner. We took it for the 35-day cruise. It was between $600 and $700. If you order the items separately, it's about the same cost. We'd bought it for the "Special Disembarkation Procedures" thinking we'd get escorted to the gangplank like we did on the Grandeur, but were disappointed in that part of it. I got our description and quote when I emailed ship's services. You also get a better selection of alcohol when purchasing everything separately. As it turned out, we didn't drink all our alcohol. We visited medical twice, and were told not to drink alcohol both times. Having been in both Signature and Neptune suites, the Signature suites are almost as large as the Neptune. Having recently compared the Neptune to the Vista Suite on Princess. The Vista Suite is a little better. We got a free night in their specialty restaurant, free laundry, and one free mini bar fill up (our choice). On the Neptune Suite, we got the access to the Neptune Lounge, one free bottle of wine in the room that they wouldn't swap for something better, and a reception on embarkation day. They also had an honor bar in the Neptune which mean we had to pay for the drinks.
catl331 Posted August 20, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Having been in both Signature and Neptune suites, the Signature suites are almost as large as the Neptune. Standard verandas are 9 feet wide, Signatures are 13.5 feet wide, and Neptunes are 18 feet wide, so Neptunes are 33% larger than Signatures.
