help--two prongs or three in outlets

Help, I shortly leaving on a Star Princess cruise, and checked out the forms on this subject. I have seen posting of two prong plug on the desk area and some that say three ( ground) on others. I want to bring someting to plug all my electrial junk into. This trip I will have a lot. Thanks for your assistance.

As faras I know they are the standard US type most I recall being two prong.

All recent vintage ships have the standard three prong grounded receptacles.

The Star takes the 3 prong - US style plug. I know because I took my laptop and it has the 3 prong plug.

Get a 3 prong double plug so you can plug in more then one item .I always leave one in my suitcase. I need my hairdryer,camera charger and cam corder charger .Always have plugs

I understand the posts above. However, do the newer 3 pin type US sockets, as shown in the photos above, allow you to use the older type 2 pin US plugs?

Ijn answer to your last post...yes you can use a two prong North American style plug in the newer 3 hole plug in.

All it means is that the item won't be grounded. Seems like no big deal as we did this for 35 +yrs or more.
