He was several years ago. He was a police officer with a with a police dog. Sometimes his avatar is an old picture of him in uniform with his dog. :)

He has always been on the Maasdam but I think I remember him saying his next contract would be on the Ryndam.

John was Security Officer on the Oosterdam on our Alaska trip June 16-22. He told us he was just covering a few trips for vacation relief and that he would be aboard the Statendam in late August to end the Alaska season and make the South Pacific round trip. Great individual to chat with if you all get the chance sometime. He did mention that he rarely posts when aboard the ships.

Yes, John was assigned away from Maasdam to Oosterdam briefly and would be moving to another ship.

When was John on the Maasdam?

He was on the Maasdam last winter during the South America season. He was also on that ship last spring/summer for New England/Canada.

Thank you RuthC! I was only inquiring as myself and DH were on the Maasdam in late March for 25 days.

Capt Alberts is resuming Master's duties on STDN 11th August in Vancouver till mid december ( longer than usual this time to make up for his 2 months stint in the Spring prior to the Senior Management Conference.

I beleive Cooper10-8 is also on STDN at that time.
