Cruise Cancelled by Princess

I just got a message from my TA that Princess has cancelled the "Circle the Pacific" cruise on the Sun Princess scheduled for April, 2013. This is due to the Sun being redeployed to Japan. I sure hope they come out with a similar itinerary. This cruise was 50 days from Sydney Australia to San Francisco with stops throughout Asia and Alaska. It was my dream cruise. At least they cancelled us before the air was purchased.

Is that the same one as Dawn Princess is doing in July this year ?

Marketing.

Princess created a new division, Princess Japan, and will base a ship there (the Sun) and market it in Japan. Staff will be bi-lingual in Japanese and onboard accounts will be in Yen. The ship will be modified to Japanese tastes, as will be the food. :)

A really nice cruise to replace the one they canceled would be the Sidney Australia to San Francisco or Los Angeles. I believe it is now a 30 day cruise. One year it is to LA and then the next it goes to San Francisco, so without checking I'm sure this cruise would be a really nice substitute. It usually is in April & May.I did this cruise back in 2007 and it was wonderful.
