So are they now serving regular breakfast in the MDR on the Breeze and not just the comedy brunch?

On the Dream, they had one dining room doing regular breakfast and the other dining room had the Brunch on Sea Days only.

It's funny how people see things differently. I'm on the same cruise. The ship feels much less crowded to me than the Conquest Class ships I'm used to. I haven't had to wait in line more than a minute or 2 for anything. There are always free tables, plenty of places to sit. There are so many new venues and plentiful new seating areas on Breeze.

The only places on this ship that I have noticed seemed more crowded to me than usual is the casino & the piano bar. There are a lot of gamblers on this sailing and any piano bar with Ron Pass is going to be packed.

I will agree that the Guy's Burger Stand condiment station is a bottleneck (They need another one) as are all of the drink stations in the front part of the buffet. The rear drink stations are not bad.

I have not been served any cold food on this cruise yet and the dining room service has been perfectly adequate.

Breeze is an amazing ship and I loved the extra fun day at sea today. What a great cruise!

Well a little update till I get home. Slow service , Serenity packed with kids some sleeping in the hooded cabana chairs. Jacuzzis kids took over and ran people out. Did no good to inform security.

Smokers rule any where and every where! No consideration. Popcorn is free on this ship unlike the dream where there is a charge. Movies were great . More will follow when I reach home.

Did not care for the british style show more lip singing . Cartoon bk ground just cuts away from actual human performance. Carnival customers are getting another cut bk here.

Oh did I tell u about the kids? Pushing all the buttons on the elevators tying up elevators from public use.

Wonder why there are so many kids?

It's because of bad parenting and the me generation. Since the lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas has cheaper cabins, parents are thinking of themselves and want to partake in a bargain instead of having to pay higher rates when little Johnnie and Mary are out of school. Back in the day parents would never think about having their kids miss an entire week of school, but things have changed over the years. Combine this with the fact that cruise rates are much higher over the summer and over spring break and Christmas and this is the reason that you'll see kids on cruises at this time of year.

Wow, what about the homeschooling families? We homeschool year-round. We travel in off-season because we CAN and it is affordable with our four bio children and two long term foster children. Before coming to our home, our foster children have never been outside of the borders of College Park, GA. Our goal is to expose them to as much of the world and as many vacations/opportunities as we can before they're reunited. I don't think we're horrible parents-- and our homeschooling coop did a Disney Cruise group vacation in October-- they're not horrible parents, either. There were about 109 kids total, I think. Not to be argumentative, just offering a different point of view. ;)

That's the same reasons we haven't been on another large ship since the Dream. Sure you could try to schedule around the prime dining times but if you have to put that much into planning it tends to take away from the vacation.

Vacations should always include a spontaneous option. Planning and organization is what I do for work.

Don't misunderstand, we still had a good time on the Dream, we sailed on her twice, though we woud not have sailed her the second time except it was the only ship that stopped in Costa Maya, just not as much as on the Valor, Liberty, Spirit, Glory, etc. I don't know what we will do if they keep making ships bigger and the mid size ships become obsolete.

I can say that our experience on the Dream has kept us from booking the Magic out of Galveston even though the port is half the distance. It will probably keep us off the Breeze as well. What good is a new big and beautiful ship if it's to full and impersonal to really enjoy?

We are not bad parents...

We're taking our two children out of school for some much needed family time :) The cruise rates are out of reach for my family during the height of the XMas holidays. Both of my kids honour students, and to be honest, not much goes on before XMas break. My son will use his experiences, especially in Belize, for a personal project for school.

I'm sorry if the children on your cruise are behaving inappropriately, but please do not lump all kids in the same group.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise.

First of all, I am not currently on a cruise, but if I was, I am sure I would enjoy the rest of it.

Out of curiosity, will your mother/daughter cruise next November 16 on the Epic result in your daughter using experiences in either St Thomas, St Maarten or Nassau for a personal project at school?

Sorry for getting on my soapbox, but 100% of kids belong in school during their respective districts school year for all 180 days, not 175. If the cruise rates are out of reach during the Christmas (not Xmas) holidays, then don't travel at that time of year. You were able to go on a cruise over spring break just nine months ago and now you need to go on another family cruise for "much needed family time". You were able to afford it over spring break this year, why not go again for spring break in 3 months? Or go either at the beginning of June or the end of August depending upon your kids school district schedule. Bottom line, IMHO...kids belong in school when school is in session, not on a cruise.

Not that it's any of your business - but I'm travelling with my mother, not with my daughter. And even if I were travelling with my daughter, not sure that is any concern of yours.

Bottom line, I decide when our vacation time is appropriate for my family.

It always amazes me how people around here get on their respective soapboxes, and feel the need to preach to the rest of us.

When I read postings about kids taking over hot tubs and the adults only Serenity area during a time of the year when their butts should be in school and not on a cruise, I will be preaching to the choir about it and I know for a fact that there are many others on CC feel the same way. I like to cruise when there is a chance that the number of kids on board will be a reasonable amount and the aforementioned actions of unruly rug rats will be kept to a minimum. Many parents let their kids run wild while on a cruise and do little or nothing to supervise them. Not all children are the little angels that you think they are when they are not around mommy and daddy and they have the freedom to roam the ship and run wild and do all sorts of crazy things. Being in the Serenity area, taking over hot tubs, & hitting all the buttons in the elevators were examples already mentioned in this thread.

Strange things happen on this cruise that i have never witiness before ,thats for sure. Crew members actually frowning at customers instead of a friendly smile. Two crew members actually started fighting on lido, don't know that was all about. But it's a sure sign of stress.

You could tell there was a strain on staff members and it showed.

Clean tables were hard to find at times and staff was slow to respond to clean said tables.

Mongolian Wok was a nightmare, there were only twelve prople in front of me when i joined the line , 45 minutes later i was fifth in line.

Seems there were there or four Asians in line filling several bowls and handing them to their families sitting at a near by table. Heald up the line to no limits. . I have noticed this type of behavior on a few Carnival ships ? Seems to be a problem Carnival needs to address , it's already out of hand.

Perhaps limit the bowls one per trip .

Oh the 29 dollar internet service that i stated was a fair price , mid week it would kick me off and ask to log bk in so often i just gave up on it .

What was that stuff  there serving for breakfast, calling it eggs ?

Never tasted any thing like that in my life. Gave me more reason to stand in the omelette line requesting real eggs.

More random thoughs are the cheese on the pizza has changed, its now becomes a plaid tasteless pizzia. Come on Carnival whats with the cuts ? :(.

The Italian restaurant was outstanding and well kept. The food was great untill i tried the red clam sause  . Gave me reasons not to return .

More random thoughts will follow, as i reflect bk on this cruise.
